is out thousands of dollars after they wrote two checks, not even close to that amount. They said they're victims of a check washing scheme, and believe it is taking place at their local post office. Therese Scarlati collected during her own investigation, collecting every sheet of paper, starting with those two checks. Therese sent a $165 check to her insurance company. Her husband wrote this $64 check for the water bill — both mailed on the same day, yet somehow the amounts were both changed. Her husband's was cashed for $5,700 in storage fees, while Therese's check was cashed...

In the last week SpaceX has acquired XAI and presumably related to that they submitted plans to the FCC exploring the construction of a compute cluster in Earth orbit with one million spacecraft. So, I try to use Universe Sandbox to visualize this.... and it's not easy. For technical reasons this is a limited version visualizing the kind of orbits we expect, but you can play with it yourself if you own Universe Sandbox. Word on the street is that tomorrow is the big day when the federal government’s phony-baloney greenhouse gas “Endangerment Finding” will finally get rescinded by EPA. It has now been more than 16 years since this idiotic and massive government power grab got foisted on the American people by the Obama EPA in December 2009. I don’t have any good insight into what the rescission documentation will look like. If the people writing it do what is really appropriate, they will heap mounds of scorn, derision and ridicule upon the Finding itself, and upon the legions fools, dopes and grifters...

In Matthew 24:12, Jesus provides His disciples with an overview of the end times. He says, “And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold” (ESV). This verse is part of a larger discussion of the end times; the passage is often referred to as the Olivet Discourse. ...

Republican officials and candidates in Texas have shifted their rhetorical attack lines from the border fears that dominated recent elections to the state’s growing Muslim population, with language that echoes the aftermath of the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. The rise of anti-Muslim rhetoric has unnerved many in the state’s Islamic community while sending signals to Republicans outside Texas who might be searching for rhetorical targets now that the nation’s southwestern border has grown quiet. Ads for Senator John Cornyn of Texas have touted his fight against “radical Islam.” Texas Republican lawmakers created a “Sharia-Free America Caucus” in Congress....

A former White Sox pitching prospect is suing the team, claiming he was pushed into taking a COVID-19 vaccination in 2021 that resulted in severe allergic reactions that eventually derailed his career. Isaiah Carranza, a 12th-round draft pick of the Sox in 2018, alleges team officials warned him he would be ‘‘blacklisted’’ if he didn’t get two doses of the vaccine, meaning they wouldn’t release him from his contract for opportunities with other clubs even though he had ‘‘no prospects of moving up’’ with the Sox. Carranza got the Pfizer vaccine and soon began suffering ‘‘extreme dizziness, nausea, near-fainting and...

In 2019, Governor Newsom promised California that he would fix the state’s failing 911 system. He even spent $450 million to build a new one. But when it came time to turn it on, it did not work. Newsom is now scrapping the plan, the $450M is apparently gone, & he’s going to spend millions more. Meanwhile, Californians remains stuck on the antiquated 911 system due to Governor Newsom’s $450 million 911 scandal. I have written Governor Newsom to get answers, given the FCC’s interest in facilitating transitions to next-gen 911 systems.

A federal grand jury refused to hand up an indictment Tuesday against six Democratic lawmakers accused by President Trump of “seditious behavior” this past fall. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) and Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) over a video posted on social media this past November urging members of the military and intelligence community to “refuse illegal orders.” *** Slotkin, who previously accused Trump of “directing the FBI to target us” and “weaponizing the federal government” against...

How stupid and offensive was the the Super Bowl halftime show? Here’s a game that has evolved over the decades to become an unofficial American holiday and long shared a patriotic spirit similar to that felt during Fourth of July celebrations. It has created and sustained tremendous brand value for the National Football League. But rather than protect that investment, Roger Goodell and the NFL lit it on fire for laughs. Or to make a political statement… I guess. Because it’s pretty difficult to ignore the intended message of “entertainers” singing in a foreign language, waving foreign flags, and simulating...

Here are some facts: 1. A small number of people commit a wildly disproportionate amount of crime, about 1% commit most crime and 3 to 5 percent commit ALL crime. 2. Offenders who commit major crimes also commit constant public order infractions, so policing public order incapacitates serious criminals. The guy who gropes women on the train or mugs people probably didn’t swipe his credit card to get through the turnstile. 3. Nearly all the people killed in controversial “Black Lives Matter” incidents belonged to the tiny subset of recidivist criminals. Jordan Neely and George Floyd are both examples of...

EU Europe is increasingly abandoning a civilized approach to dissenting opinions. The raid on the Paris offices of Elon Musk’s company X appears to be just the tip of the iceberg. Today, those who resist are being attacked on multiple levels, while those who submit are largely spared. It is time to increase pressure on Brussels. Elon Musk’s communications platform X has become caught between systemic fronts. On one side stands the American understanding of free speech, which has experienced a political revival under Donald Trump’s new presidency. On the other, an increasingly repressive EU control regime is eroding the...

A few months before his assassination, Charlie Kirk visited Japan and warned that mass migration was seeking to “replace and eradicate Japan by bringing in Indonesians, by bringing in Arabs, by bringing in Muslims”. With over 100 mosques and over 400,000 Muslims already occupying Japan, even though 95% of Japanese voters oppose Muslim mass migration, a political explosion was bound to occur. Now, Japanese voters have delivered a striking defeat to the forces of mass migration with a stunning win for Japan’s Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, whom the media has already taken to describing as a ‘Trumpian’ figure for opposing...

United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents are detaining and arresting “legal observers” using their vehicles to follow agents during federal immigration enforcement operations. A recent trend began amongst protestors to follow ICE agents in their vehicles as “legal observers” of federal law enforcement operations following the deadly shootings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minneapolis in January. “When agitators willingly involve themselves and...
