The New European Surveillance State

EU Europe is increasingly abandoning a civilized approach to dissenting opinions. The raid on the Paris offices of Elon Musk’s company X appears to be just the tip of the iceberg. Today, those who resist are being attacked on multiple levels, while those who submit are largely spared. It is time to increase pressure on Brussels.

Elon Musk’s communications platform X has become caught between systemic fronts. On one side stands the American understanding of free speech, which has experienced a political revival under Donald Trump’s new presidency. On the other, an increasingly repressive EU control regime is eroding the balance of power between state apparatus and citizen. Given the openly visible economic decline of the European economic model and growing criticism of the long-derailed Ukraine engagement, open confrontations were foreseeable. Defeats and personal accountability are unknown concepts in the EU power circle.

Citizen sovereignty, anchored in the principle of free speech, inevitably triggers resistance among those whose influence rests on controlling public discourse and economic interests.

Against this backdrop, the allegations against X are easy to see through. Once again, they revolve around depictions of sexualized violence against children or image manipulation using artificial intelligence, specifically the integration of the platform application Grok.

To crown it all, the European Union, in this case via France as executor of Brussels’ interests, is even attempting to accuse Elon Musk of Holocaust denial. This is explicitly not about relativizing the most reprehensible behavior. Prosecuting such crimes is the task of prosecutors, police investigations, and the application of existing criminal law.

But the Europeans’ vector of attack is different. It is clearly politically motivated. The detention of Telegram founder Pavel Durov in France last year points in the same direction. Free communication spaces are no longer to exist where European citizens can exchange

It seems to be what politicians do when they know they are in the wrong.

Unfortunately, Musk, the richest man in the world, is in no position to fight the EU.

X simply has to move to a curated content model for the EU market.

Possibly so

IMHO the Man of Lawlessness, the Antichrist
could well arise from Europe

But the Middle East is a possibility as well

Time will tell

These are the people who were trying to get the US embroiled in a war they wanted to wage on Russia, with the help of confederates like Lindsey Graham, imho.

Or, you could realize, rather belatedly, thar there IS no EU market for the Internet. There are only varying levels of tyrants, trying to stay on top of the wave.

America and Space can keep Elon occupied and even provide investors with profits, given his proven track record.

Europe can degenerate to Neanderthals, which is what I expect they always were.

Don’t fool ourselves. Trump is just a 4 year time out from this. Democrats worm their way in at midterms, they will make the remainder of his term another miserable slough of investigations, fake charges etc.

The democrats already act like they weren’t the biggest Epstein buddies. They once again use projection regarding Epstein and there is hardly any pushback from the admin.

If they get the WH again, they will dump the filibuster, pack SCOTUS, censor and prosecute opponents, open the borders, impose gun control, institute a MAID Act, overturn abortion decision, and we will not be able to do a thing about it. Just like Europe. We are that close to really being over and all we do now is argue and attack our own. Talk and bluster, and the usual complaints time, is about over. I hear things are looking up in El Salvador!

I believe that you are correct that the task is almost overwhelming.

Do you think that President Trump has the right priorities?

I don’t think of cutting loose from the EU as attacking our own. America and the Western Hemisphere should be the priority. Brussels is the Deep State - quit feeding it.

I believe Trump genuinely wants what is good for the country. I also think the damage done since Obama makes the task almost impossible because there isn’t enough time between elections to fix things. Unlike tearing something apart which can happen quickly.

The open borders and flood of foreigners of all stripes in massive amounts has been what is bringing all the western countries down. Trump has his priorities but he doesn’t have a Congress of his own party doing a damn thing to support what we voted for.

The Freedom agenda is not what the globalist trash in the EU and UK want. America brought down under their control is the prize and that is what Trump is up against.

America was at it’s best when it proudly stood alone.
