Republican officials and candidates in Texas have shifted their rhetorical attack lines from the border fears that dominated recent elections to the state’s growing Muslim population, with language that echoes the aftermath of the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
The rise of anti-Muslim rhetoric has unnerved many in the state’s Islamic community while sending signals to Republicans outside Texas who might be searching for rhetorical targets now that the nation’s southwestern border has grown quiet.
Ads for Senator John Cornyn of Texas have touted his fight against “radical Islam.” Texas Republican lawmakers created a “Sharia-Free America Caucus” in Congress. Gov. Greg Abbott has labeled one of the nation’s largest Muslim rights groups a terror organization.

Islam is a problem, a serious problem. I say this as someone who worked with Muslims in many countries over the years and considered them colleagues and friends. Their religion simply doesn’t intend to coexist with my Christian faith, doesn’t intend to coexist with our American way of life and culture. Their religion has badly damaged certain European countries and there’s NO reason to think results here would be the same.
Some cultures cannot coexist peacefully. Period.
They are implying the TX GOP is turning to Islam as an enemy. Dems are turning to Islam as a friend.

If we allow Sharia-Law then they could tax all non Islamic believing people a tax called Jizya.
That is why we must not allow Sharia-Law. Do not be fooled by these Christian hating rubes at the New York Sklimes. This is why our Founding Fathers stated in the Constitution that no religion would be recognized as being the defacto religion tthat must adhere to as the dominate religion. That the laws through legislation would be the only laws of the land that all states sared in common, sand if stystes want to remain as the authority for thei legislatures to hold that ame for the states, they must outlaw any & all attempts to create a separate set of laws by any religion.
We need to have a Constitutional Amendment to the Federsl & State Constittutions that prohibits the creation of laws that are not created by the legislative bodies of all governmentsy, that may apply to any religion that can negatively impact the rights of non-believers of any relgion. Otherwise, we will have a major mess to contend with.
