Lawsuit demands Israel pay USD 9b in compensation

The Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions, with the support of international labor unions, intends to sue Israel for compensation on behalf of Palestinian Authority Arab workers who lost their jobs in Israel since October 7, 2023, when Hamas and civilian Arabs infiltrated Israel en mass and brutally tortured, massacred, and dismembered Israeli men, women, children, and infants.

The petition to the International Labour Organization (ILO) focuses on the right to wages and the protection of workers' social rights in accordance with binding international conventions and agreements.

Shaher Saad, Secretary-General of the Palestinian Workers Union, told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that the situation of workers who lost their jobs in Israel is particularly dire, as the Palestinian Authority is unable to provide them with an economic safety net and is even struggling to pay its employees' salaries.

According to Saad, the total wages of Palestinian Authority Arab workers in Israel are estimated at about 1.35 billion shekels per month, an amount greater than the total wages of both government and private sector employees combined, thus having a crucial impact on the Palestinian Authority's economy.

Saad stated that in light of these figures, the Federation intends to demand compensation from Israel amounting to approximately $9 billion for the 225,000 Palestinian Authority Arab workers who lost their jobs since the war broke out. This includes direct wage losses and unpaid social rights accumulated over months of disruption to the Palestinian Authority Arab labor market ...

Thank you very much and God bless you.

I'm actually part of an informal network helping out Palestinian families with clean records, who've been put out of work during this war. I'll be sending out my contribution today.

But the idea that Israel is somehow resonsible as a nation for this state of affairs is nonsense on stilts. We were attacked. Precautions had to be taken to guard against future attacks from Judah and Samaria Palestinians, and up until the cease fire deal by Trump, that was a fact of life, over which we did not have control. They were not placed in internment camps like the Japanese in WW II. They were not prevented from working at those jobs that were available, both among Israelis and among Arabs.

Right now, there are many residents of Judah and Samaria who don't want to hire these workers, despite the war being on pause. The notion that the State of Israel owes these workers jobs is ridiculous. They should sue Hamas for their lost earnings. We didn't ask to be attacked. Those of us networking support to our unemployed Arab neighbors did so out of basic decency. They didn't ask for the war, either.

Why, exactly, did the PA not have a safety net for such occasions as this, anyway. Too much foreign aid and graft siphoned to Swiss or Camcun bank accounts?

Do you have PA voting records?

How many of those you are helping voted for hamas?

Let’s take a cortical look at that 1st sentence, shall we?

The Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions ... in Israel ... October 7, 2023, ... infiltrated Israel en mass ... brutally tortured, massacred, and dismembered Israeli men, women, children, and infants.

Huh, I did not know that there was a Union for that type of thing.

What BS. Attack Israel, commit crimes, then want compensation? They’d better tell them KMA!

If the Palestinian Trade Workers want big bucks all they have to do is open Learing Centers, and and day care facilities.

This claim shows us that the so-called PALEOstinians have not learned anything in the last 100 years.

The blame game goes on with no real reckoning of who these scum are and what have done collectively on this planet especially since 1964 (when the PLO was created).

The PALEOstinians: still killing, maiming, raping, mutilating, exploding, stabbing, torturing, burning, kidnapping, executing, mass hysteria, looting, and generally destroying every positive thing on this planet since...forever.

Always whining crying, blaming others for their lack of brains and human development since Neanderthals.

Now they want compensation? Just amazing how far these scum will go in order to gain some advantage.

Let them rot of their own doing.

To do so requires a clearly retarded leadership, like the one here in Minnesota.

Or any other One(Democrat)Party state - like California.

I know the one family that I am helping for years, and he is not that sort. We know our neighbors, and this is done carefully, individual by individual, not throwing money off the back of a pickup truck.

There is an abundant supply of retards, especially in leadership positions. That's why Kamala thinks she can win the 2028 election.
