You Alone Are The One True God Of Abraham,
You Are The Ancient Of Days,
LORD of Hosts,
and Rock of All Ages,
Our Creator,
You Have Made Us,

Your Loving Kindness Is from Everlasting To Everlasting.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,

of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.

Genesis 25:1-11

25 Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah.

2 And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.

3 And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.

4 And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abidah, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah.

5 And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac.

6 But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.

7 And these are the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived, an hundred threescore and fifteen years.

8 Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people.

9 And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre;

10 The field which Abraham purchased of the sons of Heth: there was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.

11 And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahairoi..

I heard him before I saw him. The skinny youth in nothing but basketball shorts, a T-shirt, and flip-flops on his feet, came hot-dogging between the cars on State Road 7 on a Kawasaki racing bike at the red light at Hillsborough Avenue. Luckily, he was the only one moving, or else he would have been toast. Suddenly, a gust of wind picked up the loose basketball shorts and exposed the youth's buttocks for all to see. At the front of the line of cars, he had to stop his motorcycle and pull his pants up! Hilarity ensued. How humiliating!

Teenagers do stupid things, and it is that fact that got Ishmael and his mother Hagar excluded from the Family. However, like "Little Boy Biker", Ishmael didn't die, and ended up having a family of his own. He evidently matured enough to join his brother Isaac in Grief over the Death of their Father Abraham. He returns to the family to bury their father, and his name drifts off the pages of Genesis, to return later as nomadic traders who buy a slave named Joseph from his own brothers.

After Sarah's death, Abraham remarried to a woman named Keturah. Not much is said about her, except that one of her descendants, a Midianite, offers refuge to Moses centuries later. (In the Movie The Ten Commandments, The Midianite Priest Jethro declares that they are the sons of Ishmael, but they are actually the sons of Abraham through Keturah). Since, at the beginning of the Film, a whole list of sources are cited for the Script of the Film, it may have come from an old commentary or oral tradition. They may have gotten the Midianites' ancestry wrong, but there was something they got right.

According to the Movie, Jethro and his Daughters worshiped the One True God of Abraham. They saw God as dwelling on Mount Sinai. They traced this belief to Abraham.

There are now people who theorize that this "Deposit of Faith" through Keturah was a 40 Year Course in Theology for Moses. After all, Moses had been raised an Egyptian Prince. He lived in a Culture where his own people were enslaved, and it's possible that they may have forgotten a lot of their original "religion". Just think: America is 250 years old this year. How quickly our society has forgotten the original intent and purposes of the Founding Fathers. I rest my case!🤔
