US ambassadors have taken a chainsaw to the United Nations budget as part of President Trump’s mandate to have the world organization “get back to basics.” US Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz and Management and Reform Ambassador Jeffrey Bartos told The Post they helped reduce the entire UN budget by $570 million — and America’s portion of that payment to the international governing body by around $126 million. “The UN has agreed to the first real budget cuts – actual real cuts for the first time in modern history, pretty much since the founding of the organization,” Waltz recently...

People don't like to discuss progressivism. They don't like to discuss the progressive party. It doesn't really make any sense to me, these are some of the most important things we ought to be discussing. Here is the party platform of the Progressive Party. What do you see? One of the very first declarations is for the direct election of senators - essentially the 17th amendment. Is this left wing or right wing? It calls for nationalizing issues out of the hands of the states. Is this left wing or right wing? There's social justice and industrial justice. Is this...

Explanation: This infrared view of Jupiter by Webb is illuminating. High-resolution infrared images of Jupiter from the James Webb Space Telescope (Webb) reveal, for example, differences between high-floating bright clouds -- including the Great Red Spot -- and low-lying dark clouds. Also clearly visible in the featured Webb image are Jupiter's dust ring, bright auroras at the poles, and Jupiter's moons Amalthea and Adrastea. The footprint of large volcanic moon Io's magnetic funneling of charged particles onto Jupiter is also visible in the southern aurora. Some objects are so bright that light noticeably diffracts around Webb's optics creating streaks. Webb,...

[Catholic Caucus] Germany’s “slime Mass” apology exposes deeper fault lines in the ChurchA Catholic diocese in Germany has issued a formal apology after a televised Christmas Eve Mass from Stuttgart provoked a storm of criticism over an unconventional Nativity scene broadcast nationwide on public television. The Mass, aired on ARD from St Mary’s Church in Stuttgart, featured an artistic portrayal of the newborn Christ by an adult female performance artist curled in a foetal position and covered with sticky rice paper, intended to evoke the vernix of a newborn child. It was quickly dubbed “slime Jesus”. The broadcast was produced by...

Remember during Covid when liberals kept insisting that they were the ones who believed in "THE Science?" Well now that "THE Science" has proved to become politically inconvenient for them we see the hilarious spectacle of those same liberals denying basic science such as during a recent Senate hearing when a leftist doctor refused to answer the simple question of "Can men get pregnant?"We can now also see that same pathetic denial of obvious scientific reality taking effect in the current arguments surrounding the Supreme Court case about upholding state bans of biological males aka trans-women participating in women's sports....

By conducting repeated, non-authorized “hearing-like” events across multiple states, Democratic lawmakers are substituting narrative judgment for formal oversight — a practice that weakens institutional norms without formally breaking them. They explicitly disclaimed constitutional authority while theatrically imitating it — which tells you they understood the limits and chose to step around them anyway. This hearing asserts criminal guilt against federal law enforcement outside the courts while enforcement is ongoing, effectively placing Congress in an extra-constitutional adjudicatory role. By moving a self-described “sixth hearing” out of Washington and placing it under the control of ideologically aligned senior members, Democrats are asserting...

Wyoming’s first hard rock mine in a century is all but shovel ready and may be sitting on a pile of gold much larger than what’s so far been showcased for investors. The CK Gold project, 20 miles west of Cheyenne past Curt Gowdy State Park, also could be worth a lot more than previously estimated because of an explosion in the value of gold. It’s more than doubled since about a year ago. Chairman of the U.S. Gold Corp. board, Luke Norman, told investors this past week that the company now believes its project is sitting on top of...

For four decades, the Pacific coast of Panama has counted on a reliable seasonal pulse of cold, nutrient-rich water that powers local fisheries and cools coral reefs. In early 2025 that pulse all but vanished. Scientists report that the Gulf of Panama’s usual upwelling failed for the first time in the instrumental record, a breakdown they see as a warning about how quickly climate disruption can unsettle tropical seas. During most years from roughly December to April, strong northerly trade winds sweep across Central America and into the Gulf of Panama. Those winds push aside warm surface waters so that...

Researchers have retrieved samples of 1.4 billion-year-old air from ancient crystals and found something surprising about a supposedly “boring” time period. The team studied the gases and fluids locked in halite crystals (rock salt) from Canada, shedding light on the composition of the atmosphere hundreds of millions of years before dinosaurs walked the Earth. It turns out the planet was sporting more oxygen than expected—at least, in that exact moment in time—as they explained in a study published last month in PNAS. Direct samples of air “The carbon dioxide measurements Justin obtained have never been done before,” Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s...

rogressive activist Jennifer Welch told former CNN correspondent Jim Acosta that mass prosecutions of President Trump and his closest allies would be needed if Democrats regain power. "I believe, and this is just my opinion, that Trump and all of the bottom-feeding morons surrounding him, and Elon Musk ... I think they commit crimes every day, and I think to reconcile all of this is going to take hardcore, not integrity, Democrats," Welch said. "We are serious about this. We are prosecuting. We're going to uncover every document, every phone call, everything you did, we will be relentless about it,"...

This review contains spoilers for Season 2 of “Landman.” But honestly, it must be seen to be believed. Episode 1 of the second season of “Landman” — ostensibly about Tommy Norris, a fixer for an oil company — kicks off with a minute-long rant against breakfast. In Episode 4, a sand hauler plows into a pickup truck on company land. There are multiple fatalities. We basically never hear about it again. In Episode 7, Tommy and his ex-wife-turned-fiancée Angela (Ali Larter, given acres of scenery to chew), have an unprintable shouting match about the appropriate uses of an omelet. Also,...
