The Whiteland Police Department is still searching for suspects after 350 pounds of cocaine were discovered in the trailer of a semi truck at a Pilot Travel Center in Whiteland, Indiana last June. While performing a pre-trip inspection, the driver of the truck noticed the seal had been tampered with and notified the police. When they arrived, they discovered 10 boxes had been added to the back of the truck. I just want to know how long the truck driver was in the truck stop for no one to see anything suspicious going on. Upon opening the boxes, the police...

The actions of one man charged with a heinous crime have derailed the lawful U.S. immigration applications of people from 19 countries, with more potentially added in the coming weeks. The crime, of course, was the horrific and targeted attack on National Guard members Sarah Beckstrom and Andrew Wolfe last month in Washington, D.C. It was unconscionable and caused Beckstrom’s death. Terrorism, hate, and barbaric acts of violence have no place in any civilized society. This is a universal truth held by billions of people around the world regardless of faith, nationality, gender, or culture. Like Americans, many Afghans –...

Long before Donald Trump ever had political aspirations, he was grabbing headlines as one of New York’s most talked-about real estate moguls. Trump’s penchant for partying -- and his numerous affairs -- often grabbed tabloid headlines, and they even inspired a Christmas song by AC/DC. In 1990, the Australian rock legends were prepping their comeback album, The Razor’s Edge. At the same time, Trump’s affair with Marla Maples was all over the news -- the future president had been cheating on his first wife, Ivana, with the model. While watching the scandal from afar, Angus Young and his bandmates suddenly...

Explanation: The word solstice is from the Latin for Sun and to pause or stand still. And in the days surrounding a solstice the Sun's annual north-south drift in planet Earth's sky does slow down, pause, and then reverse direction. So near the solstice the daily path of the Sun through the sky really doesn't change much. In fact, near the December solstice, the Sun's consistent, low arc through northern hemisphere skies, along with low surface temperatures, has left a noticeable imprint on this path to the mountain town of Peaio in northern Italy. The morning frost on the road...

Additional charges could include human trafficking, child endangerment and custodial interference. The sting turned...

Democrats’ fear-mongering about the Trump economy is looking more and more like sour grapes.

Yesterday’s CPI report, showing inflation of 2.7 percent — well below the expected 3.1 percent — was bad political news for Democrats. Since “Liberation Day” in April, when President Trump rolled out tariffs aimed at resetting global trade in favor of U.S. companies, the left and their media allies have warned voters that the White House’s actions would clobber our economy and set inflation soaring.

The United States Coast Guard is seizing a sanctioned vessel off the Venezuelan coast, two U.S. officials confirm to NBC News. The operation is in progress. It was first reported by Reuters. The Coast Guard is taking the lead, both officials said. The U.S. military is supporting with helicopters that are dropping off Coast Guard personnel and observing overhead, one of the officials said. This comes after the U.S. interdicted a large, sanctioned oil tanker known as the Skipper off the coast of Venezuela last week. After that operation, the Trump administration sanctioned six more ships believed to be carrying...

A Russian missile strike on port infrastructure in Odesa in southern Ukraine killed eight people and wounded 27, Ukraine’s emergency service said Saturday, as a a Kremlin envoy was set to travel to Florida for talks on a U.S.-proposed plan to end the nearly four-year war, The discussions are part of the Trump administration's monthslong push for peace that also included meetings with Ukrainian and European officials in Berlin earlier this week. Ukraine's chief negotiator said late Friday that his delegation had completed separate meetings in the U.S. with American and European partners. Meanwhile, European Union leaders agreed on Friday...

Okay, John Hinderaker went and did it last week! He has abused his stewardship of TWiP and went full Die Hard Christmas Movie Denialist! As the Dude says in The Big Lebowski, this aggression will not stand, man! To restore proper balance in the universe, I am staging a coup d’tat, and am taking over this week’s TWiP. To mix movie references further, John has done a Denethor-level job as Steward of TWiP; time for the Return of the (TWiP) King! Actually, like the Gaza and (prospective) Ukraine ceasefires, we’re going to share power, and alternate TWiP each week. And...

Summary Byron York argues that some media outlets are attempting to portray President Donald Trump as facing the same major liabilities that plagued President Joe Biden: senility and damaging inflation. On senility, York highlights a New York Times article titled “Shorter Days, Signs of Fatigue: Trump Faces Realities of Aging in Office,” which notes that the 79-year-old Trump, the oldest person elected to the presidency, has fewer public events, a shorter schedule concentrated between noon and 5 p.m., and occasional signs of fatigue. The piece compares these observations to prior reporting on Biden’s cognitive decline, citing details like a bruise...

Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) said he wishes someone could have told President Trump “how math works” before touting his administration’s successes 11 months into his second term at the White House. “Somebody must have showed him some, like, abysmal poll numbers and said, ‘You better get out there in front of the American people and explain to them why these poll numbers shouldn’t be in the toilet,'” Kelly said late Wednesday on “The Briefing with Jen Psaki” on MS NOW, formerly MSNBC. “So, and then — and then I wish somebody would tell him how math works,” Kelly continued. “You...

Supply and demand. If there’s little supply and demand remains constant, things cost more. If there’s plenty of supply and demand remains constant or declines, they cost less. Unfortunately for Californians, the basic law of supply and demand doesn’t well fit with Democrat ideology. Democrats don’t bother to live in the real world. They create their own to conform to their self-imagined intellectual and moral superiority. Their imaginary utopia can’t compete with reality, which inevitably comes crashing down on their heads. In this case, reality is gas prices, which are credibly predicted to reach $10 a gallon while elsewhere in...

By Dr. John BergsmaAs Christians, we tend to assume that the idea of God coming into ones’ life is always an attractive concept. However, that’s a bit naïve. Having the almighty creator of the universe come into one’s reality could also be an upsetting prospect. When doing evangelism, I have encountered people who understood the concept of “letting Jesus into your life” very well, but didn’t want that to happen, because it might upset the apple cart, so to speak. A God living within you might want to change things. He might want to take over. Are we ready for...

The Texas attorney general says television companies have become unwelcome visitors in consumers' homes. Ken Paxton announced five separate lawsuits, including two against Chinese companies, alleging that the television companies are secretly spying on Texans by recording what they watch at home. The Texas AG said in a press release that the method through which the companies were conducting their spying is called Automated Content Recognition technology. Labeling it an "uninvited" and "invisible" digital invader, Paxton said that the software is capable of capturing screenshots of a user's TV display every 500 milliseconds. Sony, Samsung, LG, Hisense, and TCL each...
