Embattled Brown University president Christina Paxson recently took home a staggering 74% pay raise –as President Trump blasted the school for their lack of security measures after the deadly campus shooting.
Paxson scored a salary of more than $3.1 million in 2023, a huge boost from the $1.8 million she raked in a year earlier, according to 2024 tax filings, the latest available, reviewed by The Brown Daily Herald.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Paxson, 65, has been at the helm of the prestigious Providence institution since 2012 — with her annual salary increasing 700% from her initial $394,000.
Paxson was the second-highest paid Ivy League leader in 2023, trailing only Columbia’s Lee Bollinger, who made $3.5 million.
She is the second highest-paid Brown employee, behind vice president and chief investment officer Jane Dietze, who made $3.2 million.
She has been under fire since the Dec. 13 school shooting, which saw two students killed, nine wounded, and suspected gunman Claudio Neves Valente, 48, waltz out of campus without a single Brown University security guard confronting him.
“We don’t know how this person got in,” she said during a news conference this week. “We don’t know when they came in. We do know that the building was unlocked that day.”
When pressed by one reporter over the lack of cameras in the school’s Barus & Holley Engineering building, Paxson refused to take responsibility for the obvious security oversight.
“We’ll look at everything that was done but I do not think a lack of cameras in that building had anything to do with what happened there,” Paxson claimed.

Remember kids, get your tuition payments in on time. And if that means getting a part-time job while you’re in school, so be it.
“We’ll look at everything that was done but I do not think a lack of cameras in that building had anything to do with what happened there,“
There ya go, that quote shoes this DEI idiot is worth every penny that they are paying her.
Maybe, maybe not. But it most certainly had something to do with how long it took to get to the bottom of things, you dumbass. If video footage had been available and released immediately, the spidey senses of that poor guy at MIT might have tingled and he might still be alive today.
She should get a bonus if she rids the school of all the conservative student groups?
The $3 million dollar know nothing speaks: “We’ll look at everything that was done but I
do not think a lack of cameras in that building had anything to do with what happened there,“
An astute Providence-area radio host, Chas Calenda, bravely confronted Brown U officials and l/e.
Calenda had critical info about Brown intentionally disabling surveillance systems wrt DEI concerns.
Dam lefties.....obsessed w/ DEI
Brown University was under pressure from the far-left wrt the school’s security system
<><>the left whined security data would be used by the feds
<><>to (a) identify radical leftists expressing antisemitic sentiments,
<><>and (b) to identify the immigration status of persons on campus.
<><>this lefty atrocity is not just isolated to Brown University.
<><>Multiple muni govts, private and municipal agencies have received the same demand
<><>there’s an ongoing lefty effort to block ICE’s valiant operations
<><>The mass shooting at Brown is leading to public awareness of the left’s rank stupidity
<><>lefty stupidity has been spreading rapidly in the last several months.
<><>bleeding heart “civil rightists” and “humanitarian” whining made Brown disable surveillance.
<><>the issue appears via the Rhode Island ACLU making the same demand in Oct.

Brown police chief running ‘s–tshow’ department while touting lefty views for years before deadly shooting
So...security systems seem to have the disparate effect of exposing more Democrat criminals than they do Republican criminals?
Why are my tax dollars subsidizing institutions who pay there woke, commie, democrat administrators and professors hundreds of thousands and millions of dollars in salary.
Our government proves over and over that it is feckless and corrupt! It will take a miracle to bring our government back to actually serving the majority of Americans. Trump can't do it alone.
Her number one job would be fundraising.
wow. My “business” of saving lives every day sure never paid as much.

Brown U police chief.
An annual raise of 21%. Not bad. But I’m sure many FReepers have beat that. Right?
“WE DON’T KNOW HOW THE PERSON GOT INTO THE BUILDING THAT DAY”
WE DO KNOW THE BUILDING WAS UNLOCKED THAT DAY
IS THERE A REWARD FOR MAKING THE CONNECTION?
Got to wonder what the kick back to members on the board of reagents is
Another undeserved, underworked overpaid, affirmative action Jackson. DEI hire
“WE DO KNOW THE BUILDING WAS UNLOCKED THAT DAY”
A student there said that the building was ALWAYS unlocked.
