Industries and individuals around the world burned record amounts of oil, gas and coal last year, releasing more greenhouse gases than ever before, a group of leading scientists said in a new report, warning that humanity is hurtling toward “climate chaos.” “The planet’s vital signs are flashing red,” the scientists wrote in their annual report on the state of the climate. “The window to prevent the worst outcomes is rapidly closing.” “The climate crisis has reached a really dangerous stage,” said William Ripple, the report’s co-lead author and a professor. Other scientists who helped write the report said the Trump...

A good government group is seeking Justice Department records about a Biden-era official’s role in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg‘s lawfare against then-candidate Donald Trump. In its Wednesday lawsuit, the Center to Advance Security in America (CASA) requested the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to compel the DOJ to hand over documents related to Matthew Colangelo‘s transition from the department to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office in December 2022. As The Federalist’s Margot Cleveland previously reported, Colangelo — who was the third highest-ranking official at the Biden DOJ — left the agency to help “jump start” Bragg’s...

China's state-owned COFCO bought three U.S. soybean cargoes this week, two trade sources said, the country's first purchases from this year's U.S. harvest ahead of this week's summit of leaders Donald Trump and Xi Jinping. COFCO purchased about 180,000 metric tons of soybeans for December and January shipment through Pacific Northwest port terminals, the sources said. COFCO did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment. Benchmark Chicago soybean futures prices jumped this week to their highest in 15 months, rebounding from recent five-year lows on hopes for a U.S.-China trade deal.

A migrant sex offender mistakenly released from prison was given a £500 payment after threatening to disrupt his deportation from the UK to Ethiopia. Hadush Kebatu was jailed after sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl and a woman while living in an asylum hotel in Epping, Essex, but was mistakenly freed by prison staff on Friday. He was re-arrested after two days. The Ethiopian was put on a flight on Tuesday night and landed the following morning, the Home Office said. The payment was made by the removal team as an alternative to a slower and more expensive process, Sir Keir...

[H/T Grey_Whiskers]On X.com Cleta Mitchell @CletaMitchell Alright, kids. Here it is. Released today by the FBI, nearly 200 pages of formerly classified FBI documents, posted today on the House Judiciary Committee website and proves that the "state law cases" with the fake criminal charges against Pres Trump, Trump lawyers, Trump electors...and supporters were NOT state initiated AT ALL. These were ALL proxies for the feds...the BIDEN feds.... The FBI with the blessing of the Biden DOJ and no doubt the Biden White House initiated and conducted the entire investigation of hundreds and hundreds of RNC, Trump campaign employees, consultants, lawyers,...

A bipartisan group of lawmakers sought unanimous consent approval for a bill that would stop the changing of the clocks. ============================================================== Sen. Tom Cotton wasn’t fast enough in 2022 to block Senate passage of legislation that would make daylight saving time permanent. Three years later, he wasn’t about to repeat that same mistake. The Arkansas Republican was on hand Tuesday afternoon to thwart a bipartisan effort on the chamber floor to pass a bill that would put an end to changing the clocks twice a year, including this coming Sunday. “If permanent Daylight Savings Time becomes the law of the...

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley has launched an investigation into the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and the Ford Foundation over reports the organizations funneled millions of dollars to the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliates. Grassley sent letters to each foundation asking whether the reports are accurate and how any such payments comply with federal tax laws governing 501(c)(3) charitable status. “According to recent reports, [your organizations], through grants and direct payments, have funded the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its allies,” Grassley wrote. “To maintain tax exempt status, an organization’s activities must be...

The U.S. government is on track to deport 600.000 illegal migrants by the end of the year, White House deportation czar Tom Homan confirmed Tuesday. “As we get more agents on, you will see arrests increase two, three times,” Homan told Fox News on Tuesday. “You’re going to see the numbers skyrocket.” “I just count from January 20 to now ….. under Trump’s presidency, by time of the new year, we’ll be over 600,000 deportations,” Homan told an Axios interviewer, adding: The majority are criminals, and the data proves it. And who are the other 30-35 percent? Those are national...

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) announced that the Florida Civics and Debate Initiative (FCDI) will rename its statewide championship scholarship the Charlie Kirk prize in honor of the late Turning Point USA founder’s “zealous advocacy for civic dialogue and freedom of speech,” with Florida recognized as “#1 for high school civics and debate.” "Today, we announced that April’s debate competition winner of the Charlie Kirk prize will receive a $50k scholarship, with runner-up ($25k), semi-finalists ($15k) and quarterfinalists ($10k). We expect more than 600 students in the competition and look forward to awarding the newly-named Kirk prize to the winner,” DeSantis...

I always say it is the audience that counts. No matter what idiocy the leaders on both sides of the political spectrum might propose, the real future is determined by what their base wants. It is now very clear that the base of the Democratic Party is driven entirely by hate, envy, and a lust for power, based on an ignorance of history that is appalling. And my saying this not simply an opinion. It is founded on what that base itself has said repeatedly in the past year. First that base has increasingly thrown its support behind Hamas and...

Mark Carney Is Trapped: Why Canada Cannot Agree to Trump’s Trade DemandsBy The Hermit The American media often portrays trade negotiations as a personal contest of wills: Donald Trump versus Mark Carney. But that framing misses the central truth of Canada’s political system. Unlike the President of the United States, who holds executive authority independently of Congress, Mark Carney is not a singular decision-maker. He is the product — and the prisoner — of Canada’s parliamentary system, its coalition politics, its regional power blocs, and its economic dependency on trade policies designed to benefit Canada at the direct expense of...

Jamaica has today been declared a 'disaster area' after Hurricane Melissa wreaked havoc on the island leaving a trail of destruction before the storm slammed into Cuba. Entire towns have been left underwater and tens of thousands of tourists remain trapped after Melissa, the most powerful storm in the Caribbean's modern history, tore into the nation yesterday. Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness said the island was a 'disaster area' as he seeks to 'prevent any exploitation at a time when citizens are securing food, water and supplies' in the midst of the tragedy. Some 15,000 Jamaicans are hunkered down in...

Former first lady Michelle Obama on Tuesday said women need to stand up against those who might seek to silence them. In an interview with People magazine, Obama reflected on her life and explained how she embraced entering her 60s. She talked about how her father raised her to be proud of her height. “I’m still working on, every day, waking up, looking in the mirror and telling myself that I am smart and beautiful, and kind and worthy,” Obama said. “I don’t think that work ever stops for women, particularly women of color, because sometimes you don’t always hear...

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that his country’s military successfully tested a massive nuclear-torpedo dubbed the Poseidon capable of leveling coastal cities with 1,600-foot high radioactive tsunamis. The despot, while enjoying tea with wounded Russian soldiers at a hospital in Moscow Wednesday, said the underwater bomb was launched from a submarine the day before and was a “huge success.” “For the first time, we managed not only to launch it with a launch engine from a carrier submarine, but also to launch the nuclear power unit on which this device passed a certain amount of time,” Putin said. “There is...

Daily Readings from the USCCBSomeone asked him, “Lord, will only a few people be saved?” He answered them, “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I tell you, will attempt to enter but will not be strong enough.” Luke 13:27We should definitely take our Lord’s words spoken above to heart. It’s easy to presume we will be saved. It’s easy to simply presume that God is kind and that we are good people at heart and, therefore, salvation is assured. But that’s not what Jesus says. So who will be saved? When we get to Heaven, God willing,...

New information about the Biden White House cocaine scandal was revealed this week. A baggy of cocaine was discovered in the West Wing after Hunter Biden visited the White House in early July 2023. The Secret Service closed its investigation into the Biden White House cocaine scandal without conducting any interviews. No suspect was identified. According to CNN, the baggy of cocaine was “found in a blind spot for surveillance cameras.” The White House initially said there were no fingerprints, DNA samples, or leads. However, it was later revealed that there was a partial DNA hit and then-Secret Service Director...

Campus Jihad Hypocrisy: 33K Gaza Tears vs. 1M+ Islamist Slaughter Ignored On American campuses, Islamo-Arab lobbies and their radical allies orchestrate non-stop spectacles of faux outrage over Israel's defensive war against Hamas, fixating on roughly 33,000 civilian deaths in Gaza—tragedies exacerbated by the terror group's ruthless human-shield tactics of embedding fighters, rockets, and command centers in hospitals, schools, and homes. Yet this death toll pales against the jihadist bloodbaths they conveniently overlook, where Muslim supremacists slaughter their own and minorities without a whisper of protest. Israel's combatant-to-civilian ratio—fewer than 1.5 non-combatants per fighter killed—reflects unprecedented restraint in urban warfare, debunking...

Opinion by Wayne Allyn Root I was the first mainstream TV and radio host in America to warn my viewers and listeners to run away from the Covid vaccine like it was a hand grenade. And then the unAmerican censorship started. From the first day the vaccine was available, I told my viewers, listeners and readers to exercise their right of free will. I warned that I would never buy a car in its first year of production, so why would I want to become the first to take an experimental, for-emergency-use-only vaccine, when no one had any idea what...

An Afghan national who entered the UK in a lorry in 2020 remains in custody being questioned by police over a fatal stabbing in Uxbridge. A 49-year-old man, named locally as Wayne Broadhurst, was killed in the incident on Monday evening, while two others were injured in what police called a “senseless act of violence”.
