It wasn't long ago when the party anxious to avoid piling on more debt (Republicans) would capitulate to additional spending when shutdowns loomed. Democrats ran an extortion racket: acquiesce to more spending or weâll close the government and blame Republicans. 2025 began with DOGE slashing government spending. Democrats then rushed to the courts seeking injunctions. That was then. With their government shutdown push, Democrats just ran a bus over their base. Because you-know-who resides rent-free in their heads, theyâve concluded a government shutdown sounds great. Because Republicans cut funding to the Democratsâ favorite programs, Democratsâ brain trust now grants OMB...

Jewish security teams and armed police have been called in to protect synagogues across the UK after four people were stabbed outside a synagogue in Manchester. At least two people have died after a knifeman 'armed with a bomb' rammed a car into the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue at 9.31am today and went on a rampage. The bloody assault, which took place on the Jewish holy day of Yom Kippur, has been declared a 'Plato' incident - the national code-word used by police and emergency services when responding to a 'marauding terror attack'.

The H-1B visa, introduced by the United States in 1990, has long been a pathway for highly skilled professionals from across the globe to contribute to Americaâs technology sector. Many of todayâs tech leaders, including Elon Musk, Sundar Pichai, and Satya Nadella, entered the US through this programme, allowing them to innovate, lead companies, and create global impact. -snip- Sundar Pichai Pichai came to the US as an international student before transitioning to an H-1B visa, which allowed him to join Google in product management roles. Over the years, he rose to become CEO of Alphabet, overseeing key innovations in...

Labour has seen a slump in support since Keir Starmer stepped up his personal abuse of Nigel Farage, a survey found yesterday. The Prime Minister has launched a series of scathing attacks on the Reform leader in recent days, branding him the 'enemy' on Saturday, calling his migration policies 'racist' on Sunday and using his Labour conference speech to question his patriotism. Sir Keir stepped up the offensive again yesterday, claiming Mr Farage is responsible for the Channel crisis â and even describing the dinghies packed with illegal migrants as 'Farage boats'.

Dramatic footage has today emerged showing the moment armed police shot a suspected knifeman following a 'marauding terror attack' at a synagogue. ââHe who has received His testimony has set his seal to this, that God is true. For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for He gives the Spirit without measureââ (John 3:33â34). Although the majority of people reject Jesusâ message, not everyone does. There are some who accept His testimony, believing in Him for eternal life. In the ancient world, people set their seal to something, often with a signet ring, as a sign of complete acceptance and approval. Those who have received Christâs testimony thereby verify their belief that âGod is trueâ when He speaks...

What have we learned from the Democratsâ tumultuous history? Power is what they prize. Acquiring it, retaining it, and controlling others through its exercise is what they live for. Some things never change. Last Saturday, Ron Wyden, Oregonâs senior Democrat U.S. senator, made a ballsy -- if unintended -- declaration in a X post. Wyden proclaimed: âMy message to Donald Trump is this: we donât need you here. Stay the hell out of our city.â My, my, are we hearing echoes of John C. Calhounâs fiery declarations in the runup to the Civil War? The senatorâs words smack of Statesâ...

In India, some of the biggest jobs in tech come to you. Graduates of the Indian Institute of Technology (ITT), one of the countryâs most prestigious universities, are recruited directly by Indian companies as well as American firms looking to lock down some of the worldâs top talent in fields that will dominate the future, such as artificial intelligence and robotics. Many of them also continue their studies in the United States, where India overtook China last year as the biggest source of foreign students. But policy decisions and other moves by the Trump administration, including the recently announced $100,000...

How Progressives Were Able to Rule the Western Nations: Good Intentions, Bad ResultsBy The HermitThe story of the West in the last hundred years is not one of a secret cabal or a single mastermind. It is the story of an idea â progressive ideology â that promised to perfect society through reason, science, and planning. It appealed to the best intentions of reformers, philanthropists, teachers, and politicians. Yet, like many noble experiments, it has produced results far different from what its advocates hoped. What began as a movement to uplift and modernize has ended by weakening the civic and...

Paridhi Upadhaya was packing her bags after securing a computer science scholarship in the US until headlines of President Donald Trump's H-1B visa crackdown last week prompted her family in Lucknow to scrap the plan. "Trump's unending onslaught against immigrants is forcing us to consider other destinations for her," the 18-year-old's father, Rudar Pratap said. Upadhaya is among thousands of Indians for whom the American dream of world-class education, lucrative careers, better quality of life and social mobility, is turning sour due to rising U.S. visa restrictions and policy unpredictability. For decades, the H-1B visa has been the gateway to...

Chinese dictator Xi Jinping told his Politburo on Monday that tougher law enforcement in religious affairs was needed to complete the project of âSinicizingâ all faiths, which means making them all subordinate to the authority of the Chinese Communist Party. âGoverning religious affairs in accordance with the law is the fundamental way to properly handle various contradictions and problems in the religious field,â Xi told a Politburo study group, as reported by Chinese state media. Xi told the Politburo to âenhance relevant laws and policies, carry out in-depth legal publicity and education, and implement strict law enforcementâ to achieve full...

Violent Antifa criminals have laid siege to the ICE detention center in Portland, Oregon, for over 100 days. Every night the encampment of wackos â some dressed as a unicorn or a chicken â blast loud music, engage in anti-government chants over loudspeakers and megaphones, and when they violently clash with law enforcement officers it reverberates around the neighborhood. Since the protest started on June 2, neighbor Cloud Elvengrail has barely slept. Assaulted and bullied by the Antifa goons, she describes the area as a âwar zoneâ and âterrifying.â On paper sheâs exactly the type of person the mob claim...

Just in time for respiratory virus season, a highly transmissible COVID-19 strain is fueling a wave of infections across the US. The XFG variant, informally known as âStratus,â has been driving up case numbers. Stratusâ ability to evade immune system defenses has propelled it past NB.1.8.1 (aka âNimbusâ) as the dominant Covid strain. The increased Covid activity comes as the US heads into fall respiratory illness season â which tends to bring a rise in cases of the common cold, flu and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) â and amid evolving guidance for Covid vaccines. The level of Covid viral activity...

This week, federal officials made an astounding announcement: Nearly half of all immigrants in greater Minneapolis were found to have committed some form of immigration fraud. The fraud, uncovered in a September sweep, came in all kinds â sham marriages, fake death certificates and âother bizarre schemes,â as US Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Joseph Edley put it. But the revelation was no great surprise to those of us who have followed the settlement of some 100,000 Somali immigrants in Minnesota over the past three decades. As far back as 2008, the State Department temporarily suspended one of the family...
