Countless men and women are dead. Cities have been destroyed. Other nations want to “help” by sending weapons, but Ukrainians are eager to end the war. A Gallup poll from July 1-14 found that only 24% of Ukrainians would fight until victory. Back in 2022, 73% of people favored fighting until victory, but now the true cost has been revealed, and there is no victory in war. As of July 2025, 69% of Ukrainians support ending the war immediately through negotiations with Russia. In contrast, only 22% of the nation felt that peace talks were warranted in 2022. Ukrainians notably...

S&P's latest projections show India's GDP growth will remain steady at 6.5 per cent in the ongoing fiscal year, matching the previous financial year's performance. New Delhi: US President Donald Trump's punitive tariffs on Indian imports will not impact India's economic growth, and its sovereign ratings outlook will remain positive, according to S&P Global Ratings Director YeeFarn Phua. New Delhi is facing a 50 per cent US tariff--comprising 25 per cent that kicked in on August 7 and another 25 per cent due to come into force on August 28 as a penalty for buying Russian oil. Speaking at...

After three years of war, with the commentariat on both sides eagerly predicting the looming collapse of the enemy, it behooves one to develop a prudent aversion to histrionic predictions. However, it seems fairly obvious that the war in Ukraine is at a critical juncture, and August 2025 will receive considerable play in retrospective accounts of the conflict, as perhaps the last opportunity for Ukraine to cut a deal and slither out of its strategic grave. On Friday, August 15, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin are slated to meet in Alaska to discuss steps to end the war. Whether those...

President Trump’s upcoming summit in Alaska with President Putin will be a defining moment not just in U.S. relations with the Russian Federation, but also for the safety and survival of the world. I do not believe that most Americans fully understand the gravity of the situation. My personal assessment is that if these two leaders cannot reach an agreement this weekend, then the chances increase dramatically that events could spiral out of control, leading to an unthinkable catastrophe. Zelensky appears to be trying to box in President Trump by his trip to Germany to continue funds flow to him...
  • India Defied US Pressure To Dump Russia For These Five Reasons

The common denominator is India’s rivalry with China...Trump recently made a show of doubling his 25% tariffs on India as punishment for its continued purchase of Russian energy and military-technical equipment.Influenced by Lindsey Graham, he expected that India would dump Russia after the costs of doing business with it spiked, the Kremlin would thus lose this important foreign revenue flow, and then Putin would make concessions to Ukraine in exchange for lifting these secondary sanctions in to avoid bankruptcy. Here’s why India defied the US:1. Potatoes have long had a bad rap for being high in carbs. A new study backs that concern—at least in part. That weekly french fry habit could be setting you up for diabetes decades down the road. Research found that eating french fries just three times a week may significantly raise Type 2 diabetes (T2D) risk—but, surprisingly, other potato preparations showed no increased risk at all.RaraAvisPhoto/Shutterstock“Our findings suggest it’s not fair to put all potatoes in the same basket,” lead author Seyed Mohammad Mousavi told The Epoch Times. How You Like Your Potatoes MattersThe study, led by Harvard T.H. President Donald Trump said he thinks it's a great idea for reporters who claim that D.C. crime is not a problem to go on a ride-along with law enforcement to get an accurate sense of the situation in the nation's capital. Speaking to reporters at a press conference from the Kennedy Center on Wednesday, Trump took questions about his latest move to federalize law enforcement in the nation's capital due to out-of-control crime.READ MORE: ABC Anchor Shuts Down Dem D.C. By ordering 800 National Guard troops to Washington, on the pretext of an illusory crime wave, President Trump has further dragged the U.S. military into domestic law enforcement, in a move credibly perceived as an ominous “test case.” This continues what the administration started in California in June as part of the its deportation efforts. Unfortunately, though we (and others) had hoped that the military would only respond to calls to action in American cities and states kicking and screaming, we no longer expect resistance from that institution. Once, perhaps, traditionalist officers might have leaned on protocol and refused to...
  • U.S. national debt reaches a record $37 trillion, the Treasury Department reports

The U.S. government’s gross national debt has surpassed $37 trillion, a record number that highlights the accelerating debt on America’s balance sheet and increased cost pressures on taxpayers. The $37 trillion update is found in the latest Treasury Department report issued Tuesday which logs the nation’s daily finances. The national debt eclipsed $37 trillion years sooner than pre-pandemic projections. The Congressional Budget Office’s January 2020 projections had gross federal debt eclipsing $37 trillion after fiscal year 2030. But the debt grew faster than expected because of a multi-year COVID-19 pandemic starting in 2020 that shut down much of the U.S....

After 133 years, a bankruptcy, and multiple reinventions, Kodak’s latest snapshot is grim: The company says there’s “substantial doubt” it can stay in business. In a quarterly filing released Monday alongside its second-quarter earnings report, Kodak’s management raised serious concerns about its ability to continue operating over the next year. The warning stems from roughly $500 million in debt maturing within 12 months and the lack of committed financing to cover those obligations. Without new funding or successful refinancing, the company could default, they said. The note’s stark language sent Kodak’s shares tumbling, sliding 21% to $5.43 as of Wednesday...

Aug 13 (Reuters) - Haier-owned GE Appliances said on Wednesday it plans to invest more than $3 billion over five years in its U.S. operations and workforce following the Trump administration's tariff policies aimed at boosting domestic manufacturing. Global firms have been increasing their investments and presence in the United States after President Donald Trump pushed companies across sectors, including Apple and Ford to produce goods within the country and generate jobs. The GE Appliances investment will create 1,000 jobs in five states and is aimed at expanding the company's air conditioning and water heating portfolio, increasing production output and...

Allies of longtime former Senate Majority Leader and outgoing Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) have been caught colluding in a nefarious plot to take down businessman Nate Morris, the U.S. Senate candidate most aligned with President Donald Trump, in next year’s GOP primary to replace McConnell. There is a fierce multi-way primary going on to replace the retiring McConnell in Kentucky next year, and much to McConnell’s chagrin the race has turned into a referendum against his legacy. It’s so bad for McConnell that the Kentucky GOP, under serious pressure from Morris, abandoned a scheme this weekend to award McConnell the...

Disgraced former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff has finally responded after President Trump blasted him for allegedly approving a plan to leak classified information in a scheme designed to politically destroy Trump. .... Snip..... President Trump wasted no time in tearing into Schiff on Wednesday: “Just out, irrefutable proof that Adam Shifty Schiff “APPROVED PLAN TO LEAK CLASSIFIED INFORMATION TO DAMAGE DONALD TRUMP.”” Schiff took to X with a snarky post aimed at Trump, hiding behind none other than deep state swamp creature and former Attorney General Bill Barr: Sorry, Donald. Wrong again. Even Barr’s Justice Department rejected that...

I don't think that Adam Schiff received a blanket pardon from Biden. The pardon that Biden allegedly gave Schiff was for any offenses against the United States which he may have committed or taken part in arising from or in any manner related to the activities or subject matter of the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol. Anything outside the scope of this pardon is free game. Am I incorrect?

Former President Mary Robinson has condemned what she called “ridiculous”, “nonsense” and “malicious lying” regarding Israeli claims that it is ready to distribute aid into Gaza. Mrs. Robinson said that Israeli claims that UN agencies are not working quickly enough to distribute aid are “all ridiculous”. “We saw the most there was incredible collaboration between the Egyptian Red Crescent… and the UN,” she said, after a visit to Egypt and the Rafah crossing alongside former New Zealand president Helen Clark. Following the visit, Mrs. Robinson said that targeted sanctions should be imposed on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and all...

A man who used a Subway sandwich to attack a federal agent on the streets of DC earlier this week has been charged with felony assault. The criminal case against Sean Charles Dunn, 37, was announced Wednesday by DC US Attorney Jeanine Pirro, who said in a statement that “the police are not out there to get pushed around or beat up.” Dunn was allegedly captured on video Sunday night shouting that a group of federal officers were “fascists” before whipping his deli sandwich at them and striking a US Customs and Border Protection agent in the chest. “He thought...

There has been an alarming increase in violent attacks on churches in the United States over the past five years, according to a report from the Family Research Council (FRC). The organization released its 2024 analysis of attacks on US churches and found at least 415 incidents. “[A]cts of vandalism remained the most prevalent type of hostility against churches, accounting for 284 of the 415 incidents.” Researchers found 55 arson attacks, 28 gun-related incidents, and 14 bomb threats against churches. FRC warned that “with Christianity seemingly losing influence and respect in American life…there may be less societal pressure to discourage...
