**SNIP** Timber once drove the economies of states like Oregon. But forest harvests nosedived beginning in the early 1990s due to stricter environmental regulations, a changing lumber market and other factors. President Donald Trump hopes to reverse that trend by executive fiat, ordering the U.S. Forest Service to ramp up logging on federal lands in what environmental groups like Earthjustice call a "cynical attempt to justify destructive logging." "It's really just about lining the pockets of timber industry executives," Blaine Miller McFeely, a senior legislative representative at Earthjustice, a nonprofit environmental law group, told Fox News Digital. The timber slump...

Every child longs for their father’s love — not just in the form of provision or protection, but through what he gives of himself: words that affirm, hands that embrace, and a steady presence that says, “You matter more than words can express.” A father’s blessing is one of the most powerful gifts a child can receive—and one of the most important a father can give. This kind of blessing is deeply biblical.

President Donald Trump’s delivered remarks Saturday evening at a historic military parade honoring the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary. "Every other country celebrates their victories," he said. "It's about time America did too — that's what we're doing tonight." "As we celebrate tonight, we also think of the hundreds of thousands of Army soldiers who have made the supreme sacrifice for our nation and selflessly laid down their lives in every war, from the revolution to the war on terror, to the Gold Star families with us today," he said.

The Israelis pulled off the most brilliant offensive in modern military history; the President orchestrated a genius misdirection; Iran’s regime is on its back feet from which it will not recover. In wartime it’s particularly difficult to ascertain what’s happening. Governments have a natural and healthy instinct to hide from public eyes what is going on, even those fully democratic ones which in peace have some constraints on official censorship. Nevertheless, the fact that so many people around the world have video-capable mobile phones and access to the internet makes it harder to hide what is happening. All week long...

Israel may have struck Iran before it could build a fissile nuclear weapon, but the Islamic Republic can still cause tremendous destruction short of a nuclear explosion. If Khamenei wants to make good on his threats, his next step will likely be to hit Israel with dirty bombs to spread radiation over large sections of its urban areas.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Saturday he would accept an investigation into grooming gangs who sexually abused thousands of girls. Starmer had previously resisted a national inquiry into the scandal, Sky News reported, which revealed that mostly Pakistani men had groomed, trafficked and raped young white girls over a decade ago. His change of mind on the matter comes after a government-requested audit found that a nationwide investigation was needed. Starmer told reporters traveling with him to the G7 summit in Canada that he had read the report and would accept the recommendation for a national inquiry. He said...

Hossein Salami, head of the world’s leading terrorist organization, is at room temperature. Donald Trump took out Qasem Soleimani, the previous leader of Iran’s terrorist Revolutionary Guards Corps, in 2020. On Friday the 13th of June 2025, Israel erased Soleimani’s successor Salami, along with military generals, political leaders, and nuclear scientists. The latter join at least seven other scientists Israel hit in the previous decade. Iranian nuclear physicists exhibit short half-lives. The day after Trump announced the successful conclusion of trade talks with China, Israel launched against Iran. Was this coincidence? China and Iran are allied in desiring to destroy...

Men must win the culture war. At the beginning of the twenty-first century, we had a little “Golden Age” of television when manly shows with manly characters briefly flourished. Sopranos, Band of Brothers, The Wire, The Shield, Deadwood, Rome, Generation Kill, Justified, Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad, and the first season of True Detective broke the network mold and told dark, gritty stories in ways that had never been shown on a television screen. I found myself in a gathering with a Sopranos writer once, and someone asked him why the show was so successful. Without hesitating, he answered that HBO...

“‘Do not judge so that you will not be judged’” (Matthew 7:1). One of the central messages of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount to His followers is for them to be discerning and perceptive in what they believe and what they do. All Christians need to make every effort to judge between truth and falsehood, between the internal and the external, between reality and sham, and between true righteousness and false righteousness. Every message we hear is to be judged for the soundness of its doctrine. Paul told the Galatians, “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should...

By quarterbacking Israel’s attack on Iran, Trump brought an end to a particularly demoralizing era in U.S. history. The main reason Israel’s massive attack on Iranian leadership, nuclear facilities, and other targets came as a surprise is that no one believes American presidents when they talk about protecting Americans and advancing our interests—especially when they’re talking about the Islamic Republic of Iran. Ever since the 1979 Iranian Revolution, U.S. presidents have wanted an accommodation with Iran—not revenge for holding 52 Americans captive for 444 days, but comity. Ronald Reagan told Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin Wall,...

The Comintern discarded that name around 1943 but never backed off its aggressive agenda targeting all aspects of American culture, particularly education. As a result, K–12 is a crime wave and a dead zone. Intentionally. American public schools pretend to teach children to read, but somehow they can’t manage. It’s the same story everywhere you look. There is never enough money. The kids don’t try. Parents won’t help. Education professors — I think this is obvious — tend to be ideologues dedicated to allowing as little education as possible. I’m disappointed in the upscale people, as I call them. That’s...

Any prime minister of Israel, not only Benjamin Netanyahu, would have chosen to do the same at one minute to nuclear midnight. For Israelis, this is existential. The Islamic Republic’s ambitions are wholly evil and Tehran’s never been shy in proclaiming it. Make no mistake: Operation Rising Lion is the inevitable culmination of recent history since at least President Barack Obama eroded all traditional US alliances in the Middle East in favor of a dangerous fantasy that a lasting partnership with the Iranian terror regime was possible. Obama’s betrayal began years of appeasement of Tehran, interrupted by the first Trump...

Bedbug infestations at two locations in Las Vegas have sparked legal action after four travelers reported severe "injuries." Three lawsuits were filed in April against two resorts on the Las Vegas strip for incidents that occurred in the summer of 2024. Treasure Island guest Teresa Bruce noticed bites on her body during her June 21 stay, according to the official complaint. She decided to switch rooms but wound up with more bites. The guest was "harmed and offended" by the bites, according to the complaint, and "suffered injuries." Bruce alleged that the hotel confirmed both rooms had bedbugs after sending...

As prosecutors neared the end of their witness list in Sean "Diddy" Combs' trial, multiple celebrities were mentioned in court. Sports legends Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan and Shaquille O'Neal were mentioned during the fifth week of trial testimony in the rapper's sex trafficking and racketeering case. Diddy's trial began May 12 with opening statements. Throughout the past week of testimony, the jury mostly heard from the disgraced music mogul's ex-girlfriend. Testifying under the pseudonym "Jane," she told the jury about her relationship with the rapper beginning in 2021. Jane detailed drug-fueled nights when Diddy allegedly forced her into having sex...
