As chaos erupted among some protests against the multiple ICE raids in Los Angeles areas over the weekend, federal officers have begun enacting more extreme law enforcement strategies – including adding one demonstrator to the FBI’s Most Wanted list. The unidentified demonstrator was taking part in the protests that followed a raid in Paramount on Saturday morning, officials say. At around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office, the suspect threw rocks at law enforcement on Alondra Boulevard, “injuring a federal officer and damaging government vehicles.” The extent of the injuries and damage was not...

I knew this was coming but it's not a post I wanted to make. My dad, Robert, has passed away. He was 87. He was a staunch conservative, and a very big fan and supporter of President Trump. He and President Trump shared a birthday, June 14th. He did serve in the Air National Guard as a clerk. He wasn't a person who got into the internet. He was one of those people that eschewed the ways of modern life. He knew about Free Republic because I told him about it. He did support what we do here.

The site was inhabited from around a.d. 400 to 1050 and contains more than 20 houses and other buildings. Beneath the flooring of one structure, former occupants concealed an array of valuables they were never able to retrieve, for reasons that are still unknown. The collection includes eight silver neck torcs, two silver armbands, one ring, two pearls, and 12 coins that were turned into pendants. These had been carefully wrapped in a cloth purse and placed in a ceramic...

India has brought a record number of people out of poverty as per the World Bank, but the latter’s latest projection on Pakistan says nearly 45 per cent of its population lives in poverty, while 16.5 per cent lives in extreme poverty. This is after a World Bank revision of the threshold poverty line last week. In an assessment earlier this April, the World Bank had said 1.9 million additional people fell into poverty in 2024-25 in Pakistan. India has been making a case before the IMF and the World Bank that Pakistan has been misusing global aid for the...

SNIP In her speech, the Mexican president not only criticized the raids, but also argued that the United States owes its prosperity to the work of millions of Mexicans. THE OFFICE of KAMALA D. HARRIS Los Angeles is my home. And like so many Americans, I am appalled at what we are witnessing on the streets of our city. Deploying the National Guard is a dangerous escalation meant to provoke chaos. In addition to the recent ICE raids in Southern California and across our nation, it is part of the Trump Administration's cruel, calculated agenda to spread panic and division. This Administration's actions are not about public safety they're about stoking fear. Fear of a community demanding dignity and due process. Protest is a powerful tool essential in the...
