The National Association for Gun Rights (NAGR) proudly announces its unwavering support for Congressman Thomas Massie’s introduction of H.R.645, the National Constitutional Carry Act. This landmark bill will eliminate the patchwork of state-level carry permits, allowing law-abiding Americans to exercise their Second Amendment freedoms nationwide without needing a government-issued permit. “Your right to self-defense shouldn’t be contingent on government permission, bureaucratic red tape, or arbitrary state boundaries,” declared Dudley Brown, President of the National Association for Gun Rights. “This legislation guarantees that constitutional carry is recognized nationwide, so Americans can exercise their God-given right to keep and bear arms without...

VIDEOPerhaps the most HILARIOUS moment from Davos 2024 was when a frustrated Richard Quest of CNN yelled "NOW YOU HAVE TRANSGRESSED!" at the Rebel News reporters who dared to question whether he was acting as a regime journalist who did not dare to challenge the power of the World Economic Forum. Well, we got a very similar performance from Richard Quest this year at Davos when he was challenged by Ezra Levant for being a mere "fluffer" for Klaus Schwab. It will be interesting to see if Quest actually does dare to ask probing questions this year. CNN is undergoing YUUUUGE...

Why the Church’s enemies hate the Immaculate Conception(TFP) — The following text on the Immaculate Conception is adapted from a lecture Prof. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira [the founder of Tradition, Family, Property] gave on June 15, 1973. It has been translated and edited for publication without his revision. Note, in this text, he uses the words “Revolution” and “Counter-Revolution” as he defined them in his book Revolution and Counter-Revolution. In this sense, the Revolution is a centuries-old process, motivated by pride and sensuality, and therefore egalitarianism and liberalism, that dominates the modern world and seeks to destroy Christian civilization. “Counter-Revolutionaries”...

President Donald Trump revoked Mike Pompeo’s taxpayer funded security detail, four people with knowledge of the matter told the New York Times’ Maggie Haberman. Only former presidents and their spouses are automatically granted ongoing protection, according to the Secret Service. Pompeo, who served as Trump’s former CIA director and secretary of state, will likely have to pay his own tab to fend off what Haberman called “ongoing threats.” Trump also saved the taxpayers money by revoking security from former national security adviser John Bolton and former Pompeo aide Brian Hook. Haberman reported on Trump’s change in policy: Mr. Pompeo and...

A hiker was shot and robbed by “suspected cartel members” Wednesday while exploring an area along the edge of San Diego County near the U.S.-Mexico border with a group, U.S. Border Patrol El Centro Sector officials said in a social media post. The post, which had an accompanying video, appears to show the hiker being airlifted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection from where the shooting occurred in the Jacumba Mountains Wilderness, a federally-maintained desert area spanning San Diego and Imperial counties. Border Patrol says agents were dispatched to “rescue the hikers, evaluate them, and neutralize any threats.” The post’s...

The 14th Amendment does not confer automatic citizenship. Claremont Institute scholars, including me, Ed Erler, Tom West, John Marini, and Michael Anton, President Trump’s incoming Director of Policy Planning at the State Department, have been contending for years—decades, really—that the 14th Amendment’s Citizenship Clause does not provide automatic citizenship for everyone born on U.S. soil, no matter the circumstances. Other prominent scholars, such as the late University of Texas law Professor Lino Graglia, University of Pennsylvania Professor Rogers Smith, and Yale Law Professor Emeritus Peter Schuck, have come to the same conclusion based on their own extensive scholarly research. Claremont...

A conservative think tank is demanding President Trump release Prince Harry’s immigration file, on the heels of allegations that the Duke of Sussex may have lied about past illicit drug use when emigrating from the UK. Harry’s immigration status has already sparked a legal battle and a pledge from Trump, 78, on the 2024 campaign trail that he’d take appropriate action in response to any false claims on official forms — after the exiled British royal family member confessed to taking cocaine, cannabis and psychedelic mushrooms in his 2023 memoir, “Spare.” Applicants for visas or green cards are typically required...

Scientists may have identified a way to naturally regulate blood sugar levels and sugar cravings in a similar fashion to drugs like Ozempic. In mice and humans, the key to unlocking this natural process was found to be a gut microbe and its metabolites – the compounds it produces during digestion. By increasing the abundance of this one gut microbe in diabetic mice, researchers led by a team at Jiangnan University in China have shown they can "orchestrate the secretion of glucagon-like peptide-1". Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) is a hormone that is naturally produced by the body and which helps regulate...

Lisa Murkowski — who broke with her party on numerous occasions to support former President Joe Biden’s nominees — became the first Republican senator to publicly oppose Pete Hegseth’s nomination to serve as Defense secretary.

Murkowski was one of several Senate Republicans rumored to be potential “no” votes against Hegseth, and she made it official with a Thursday statement making clear that she cannot support his nomination because of character concerns related to Hegseth’s past infidelity and accusations about his drinking habits, among other issues. Have you ever looked at a bath and thought “Nah, not today!”? Well, you are not alone, as bathing has been a very up-and-down trend across history and from culture to culture. Ancient Rome’s public baths could be a grand affair, with all classes of Roman society taking frequent hot soaks. This contrasts with people in early-modern Europe who avoided clean water altogether for fear that it caused illnesses. Then there are more recent times, when having baths and showers in the house is basically considered essential. These different trends raise the important question: what happens when humans decide not...
