Elizabeth Warren and other Democrats are now sending threatening letters to people and companies that donated to Trump’s inauguration. This is from the same party that has spent the last eight years calling Trump a fascist. You may also recall that they have no problem with contributions like this when they are made to to Democrats, just Trump.

WASHINGTON — Today, after an eight-month investigation, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) cut off all funding and formally debarred EcoHealth Alliance Inc. (EcoHealth) and its former President, Dr. Peter Daszak, for five years based on evidence uncovered by the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic. In a new letter, HHS states “that a period of debarment for Dr. Daszak is necessary to protect the Federal Government’s business interests.” This letter also confirms that EcoHealth terminated Dr. Daszak’s employment effective January 6, 2025. EcoHealth and Dr. Daszak facilitated gain-of-function research in Wuhan, China without proper oversight and...

Donald Trump is heading to D.C. for his inauguration – boarding a government jet with wife Melania and son Barron to kick off days of festivities. Trump waved from the top of the stairs after he got on board in what is likely to be his last flight before taking the Oath of Office on Monday. All three wore solemn expressions as they left sunny Palm Beach for an incoming Polar Vortex that has forced the inauguration indoors. None were caught smiling while boarding. It was in keeping with the all-business attitude in Trump's official inaugural photo, which drew comparisons...

Trump aides are calling it "Shock and Awe." There will be 100 executive orders (EO) and other executive actions starting Monday, Jan. 20. Indeed, most executive actions aren't going to "shock" a lot of people. Trump has talked about all of them in the campaign and during his years in exile since his defeat in 2020. The scope of some of the EOs is broader than some on the left have been predicting, and narrower than some on the right were hoping for. The audacious nature of the 100 EOs masks the probability that almost all of them will be...

There's a famous line from the film "On Golden Pond" by the great Katharine Hepburn: "The loons! The loons! They're welcoming us back." Well, the loons are back in D.C., but they're not here to welcome Donald Trump as he prepares for his inauguration on Monday; they're here to scream, thrash, make a commotion, and just generally behave like escaped mental patients. It's not like they haven't done it before—remember 2017, when they engaged in tasteless P-Hat protests around the city and the nation as a whole? So brave. (Warning: some of the signs and slogans are profane and nasty.)...

The clock is ticking on whether or not the Chinese government-connected social media platform TikTok will "go dark" in the U.S. over the weekend, after the Supreme Court ruled Friday to uphold the law banning the site starting Jan. 19. The high court announced it would take up the case as an emergency review, with TikTok arguing a ban would violate the First Amendment to the Constitution. On Friday, TikTok warned in a statement that it would pull the plug Sunday, unless officials in the Biden administration step in and make a "definitive statement" reassuring the company it would not...

Animal rights campaigners in France are celebrating after a wild boar facing the threat of death was allowed to stay with its owner. The boar, named Rillette, was found in 2023 as a piglet by Elodie Cappé on her horse-breeding smallholding in Chaource, central France, after apparently being abandoned by its mother. Local authorities had refused Ms Cappé the permission required to keep a wild animal. Unable to find a sanctuary to take Rillette, she faced the possibility of having to get it euthanised. A French court has now ruled the authority's decision must be re-examined. Ms Cappé's husband thought...

Tariff talkIt's just a week away before President-elect Trump takes office, and many investors are talking about the policies that will be enacted under the new administration. The most controversial economic approach has clearly been tariffs, which may be leveled against China, Canada, Mexico, the EU, or other blocs and nations. Here's a rundown of what Team Trump is looking to get out of tariffs, and why they might be the best tool or bargaining chip to deal with everything from manufacturing and trade to the fiscal deficit. Agree? Disagree? Comment here. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent: "The truth is that...

Distraught influencers shared their heartbreak as the Supreme Court allowed a ban on TikTok to go into effect in a bombshell ruling on Friday. Social media users who rely on the Chinese-based platform for their followings shared clips of them crying and screaming at lawmakers for the move, amid fears the app serves as an avenue for CCP-backed data scraping and poses national security risks.

Joe Biden sat for a final interview with Lawrence O’Donnell of MSNBC this weekend. Unfortunately for them, very few people tuned in to watch. The broadcast was eclipsed in ratings in the most important demo by reruns of shows like Seinfeld and Family Guy. This is just another confirmation that the vast majority of the country is done with Joe Biden. FOX News reports:

In October 2024, an unknown man stepped out of the shadows, arriving in our nation’s capital to deliver an important message about what the public calls “UFOs” and what the government calls “UAPs,” or unidentified aerial phenomena. His name is Jacob Barber, and he says for the past 30 years, he’s worked in both an official and unofficial capacity for the United States government and its partners in the intelligence community. What he knows, and what he’s here to tell Congress, could change the world.

When McClintock was in college, he began paying for big trips to Milan, Paris, and other getaways with his credit card, and—until his balance had ballooned to $40,000—thought nothing of it.

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul joined TikTok on Saturday to protest the app's impending ban. Paul proceeded to post a singular video to his account, explaining why he had joined the app just as it is about to go offline. "Why am I joining TikTok just as the government ban begins?" Paul said in the video. "Because I don't like being told what to do. I don't like being told what I can think or what I can say. The courts may think there's an exemption to the First Amendment. I don't. I joined TikTok today as a form of civil...
