The Wyoming Supreme Court is considering whether and when it’s appropriate for law enforcement agents to search a criminal defendant’s lawyer. Jason Gay, of Tynsky Law Office, filed a petition last week to the state’s highest court, asking it to decide if it’s unreasonable for sheriff’s deputies to search a lawyer and his office – and potentially his home – when the attorney isn’t suspected of a crime, among other questions. The contested case isn't clear-cut: Gay's client is both a defendant in a criminal case and the victim of alleged crimes. Gay represents Chet Walker, a Robertson, Wyoming, man...

Three doctors are asking the U.S. Supreme Court to prevent a California agency from investigating them over their opposition to state-approved COVID-19 policies. The California Medical Board considers the expression of the doctors’ dissenting views on the disease as potentially dangerous misinformation that should be suppressed. The board argues it has legal authority to discipline the doctors for speech it deems to be medical misconduct. The physicians counter that just because they have medical licenses doesn’t mean they forfeit their free speech rights under the First Amendment. The emergency application in Kory v. Bonta was docketed by the high court...

US federal agents have uncovered a sophisticated “narco tunnel” equipped with electricity and a working ventilation system that smugglers had been using between El Paso, Texas, and Juarez, Mexico. Homeland Security Investigations EL Paso said the man-made tunnel, which is about 4 feet wide and 6-feet high, burrowed into El Paso’s Boone Street storm-drain system, which is located just a few blocks from the border, KTSM reported. Shocking video from inside the tunnel, which was enforced with only wood beams, shows its sprawling path beneath the border that smugglers used to transport people and drugs in and out of the...

California’s DEI “humanism” and Green New Deal environmentalism ensured the cruelest imaginable treatment of thousands of people and unrivaled destruction of the natural ecosystem. Firebombing on the Pacific Over 25,000 acres are ablaze in Los Angeles in the Pacific Palisades fire, a veritable living hell. Some 12,000-plus structures were incinerated. More than 250,000 souls have been evacuated and are in need of shelter. No one has really taken charge yet. And now even the woke culprits for the catastrophe are blame-gaming each other to determine who was the more incompetent, which in this case translates to the most woke. No...

Hamas's unexpected flexibility during negotiations for a hostage deal and ceasefire in Gaza surprised Israeli delegates, a source from Hamas told Saudi news outlet Asharq on Saturday. “We are close to announcing an agreement and a [hostage deal],” said a source claiming to be familiar with the negotiations, “but this hinges on Israel’s awaited response. If no new Israeli conditions are introduced, the agreement will be ready for announcement through the mediators”—referring to Egypt, Qatar, and the United States. The source said that Hamas demonstrated "significant flexibility" during the talks, which surprised Israeli negotiators. This included agreeing to submit a...

Le Cercle is a shadowy network of global elites that makes the CIA look like the DMV. Bilderberg recently announced plans to be more open and friendly to the press — but what about Le Cercle? If Bilderberg is the shadowy conference everyone whispers about, Le Cercle is the one that doesn’t even make it into the conversation. For many readers, this may be the first time you’ve encountered the name. Founded in 1952, this corrupt cabal operates with a level of secrecy that makes the Bilderberg Group seem almost transparent by comparison. Smaller, spookier, and infinitely more secretive, Le...

The Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD) recently released the identities of nearly a dozen attempted burglary suspects within Palisades Fire evacuation zones in Santa Monica, none of whom live in the town, police said. Six of the 10 suspects were in possession of "burglary tools," according to officials. All traveled to the disaster area from out of town. The department has arrested 39 people in evacuation zones since the start of the Palisades Fire, SMPD told Fox News. Those not charged with attempted burglary were picked up for curfew violations, drug possession, warrants, parole and probation violations and other charges....

I have an elderly relative - female, about 5' 4", 160 pounds, who is in need of one. She's been researching on the web, but there are so many makes and models out there, it's making her head spin. She's not interested in a "big" (oversized) model, or concerned with it having heat or massage, just something to assist with getting up, that will also recline, and have a comfortable head-resting area and a footrest that won't be too short (a problem she's seen in reviews of some models). She's willing to go to a showroom and do a "test...

Vice President-elect JD Vance said on Jan. 12 that individuals who were violent during the U.S. Capitol breach on Jan. 6, 2021, “obviously” should not be pardoned. President-elect Donald Trump has vowed to use his clemency power for people who have been charged in connection to the incident over the past four years. Those who “protested peacefully” on Jan. 6 should receive a pardon, Vance told Fox News. He added that there is also a “little bit of a gray area” in some of those cases.“I think it’s very simple,” Vance elaborated. “If you protested peacefully on Jan. 6 and you’ve...

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Canada's outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Sunday suggested that President-elect Donald Trump's remarks about Canada becoming America's “51st state” has distracted attention from the harm that steep tariffs would inflict on U.S. consumers. Trump has threatened to impose 25% tariffs on all Canadian imports. “The 51st state, that’s not going to happen," Trudeau said in an interview with MSNBC. “But people are talking about that, as opposed to talking about what impact 25% tariffs (has) on steel and aluminum coming into the United States." Trudeau told MSNBC: "No American wants to pay 25% more...

A person from Boston speaks differently than a person from New York City, to say nothing of the difference between Midwestern and Southern accents. While all of these are American, the roots of the Southern drawl have a unique colonial history. While many countries have geographical differences in accents (for example, a posh London accent versus the rough-and-tumble Cockney accent), America’s various accents are particularly pronounced. A person from Boston speaks differently than a person from New York City, despite their relative geographic closeness, to say nothing of the difference between Midwestern and Southern accents. While all of these are American,...

Eh, this could get messy. Apparently, Steve Bannon was talking to media in Italy and said some rather confrontational things about Elon Musk. (CP) “I will have Elon Musk run out of here by Inauguration Day,” Bannon told the Italian daily Corriere della Sera this week. “He will not have a blue pass to the White House, he will not have full access to the White House, he will be like any other person.” “He is a truly evil guy, a very bad guy. I made it my personal thing to take this guy down,” Bannon added. “Before, because he...

Trump has chosen people who understand the threat of government coercion—because they have experienced it firsthand.Venture capitalist Marc Andreessen recently expressed what many felt at the reelection of Donald Trump: not triumph so much as relief. “I hope this last ten years increasingly is just going to feel like a bad dream,” he told podcast host Joe Rogan. “I can’t believe we tolerated the level of repression . . . and anger and . . . emotional incontinence and . . . cancellation campaigns.” Much of it was orchestrated or encouraged by our government. One could say many things about Trump’s...

Oy veh — it’s gonna get mashugana out there. In the waning days of the Biden administration (which also coincides with the waning days of Joe Biden), a few uncomfortable truths have emerged. First, Biden is destined to be remembered as one of the least consequential presidents in American history. His tenure was a speed bump -- a thin slice of bologna that’s sandwiched between the two Trump terms. For a guy like Biden, who so clearly covets adulation, recognition, and public praise, that’s gotta sting. Two, it’s now apparent that Biden’s presidency coincided with a national realignment. The public...
