The iconic Hagia Sophia in Istanbul (Constantinople) will undergo extensive restoration, including the dismantling of its dome, to preserve the historical and structural integrity of the world-renowned monument, according to the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet. Ahmet Gulec, a member of the project’s scientific committee, said damage to the dome’s lead cover and cement materials made the restoration necessary. “The underside of the dome is covered in mosaics, making structural intervention from below nearly impossible” Gulec explained. The Archer Daniels Midland wet mill on the outskirts of Decatur, Ill., rises like an industrial behemoth from the frozen, harvested cornfields of Central Illinois. Steam billowed in the 20-degree cold last week, as workers turned raw corn into sweet, ubiquitous high-fructose corn syrup. Three miles away, a Primient mill, which sprawls across 400 acres divided by North 22nd Street, was doing the same. To Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President-elect Donald J. Trump’s nominee for secretary of health and human services, this bedraggled city — set deep in Trump country — is the belly of the agribusiness beast, churning out...

A former Secret Service Agent has dropped a bomb concerning the safety and security of President Trump. And what he is desperately trying to warn us about is as bad as it gets. According to former Special Agent Richard Staropoli, he expects another attempt to take out President Trump, but on a far more serious level than the previous two attempts carried out — allegedly — by lone gunmen who had minimal training, planning, or help. (Allegedly.) Staropoli is warning about something far more sinister and dangerous that he feels could happen before President Trump can be sworn in to...

This Luigi Mangione story continues to get stranger by the day… Now today we have what is believed to be his manifesto released. More on that in just a moment. First was this strange moment where he suddenly stops and turns and shouts out to the crowd before heading into Court: Enhanced audio here: Then there was this VERY strange video that was posted to what is believed to be his YouTube channel yesterday, and seemingly posted via some sort of deadman’s switch: And now the Manifesto. According to reporter Ken Klippenstein who posted this on his Substack, this is...

National Lager Day on December 10th raises a glass to the third most popular beverage after water and tea. While lager is typically characterized as a light, summer beer we believe that every season deserves to be celebrated with a few of your favorite things. #NationalLagerDay Lagers are distinguished from other beers by using a cold-conditioning process. The types of yeast used are referred to as "bottom-fermenting" yeast or yeast that can develop at colder temperatures. Before the advent of refrigeration, brewers perfected this process in cellars dug into the ground and filled with ice. Those who taste the delicious...

The old England, which cherished liberty, is dying and a more sinister society is emerging in its placeAs an American Anglophile, I find it difficult not to look upon the news emanating from Great Britain and despair. “Terminally ill pensioners could end their lives earlier to spare loved ones six figure tax bills, experts have warned,” says the Telegraph. A Christian preacher in West London has just had his conviction upheld for standing in silent protest too close to an abortion clinic while holding a placard displaying a Bible verse. The old England, which cherished liberty, is dying and a...

A special agent with the Department of Homeland Security in Utah is facing a federal charge accusing him of providing drugs to an informant to sell on the side that were not part of any government investigation. A 27-page criminal complaint was filed Friday and unsealed Monday against David Cole for conspiracy to distribute and possess drugs with intent to distribute. The federal complaint also lists a "person A" as a possible co-defendant and states that Cole "conspired with person A and others." University of Tokyo researchers have created a mathematical framework for cellular death, offering new tools to study and potentially control life-death transitions in biological systems. Researchers are redefining the criteria that determine whether a cell is considered alive or dead. Cellular death is a fundamental concept in biological sciences. Despite its importance, its definition varies depending on the context in which it occurs and lacks a general mathematical definition. Researchers from the University of Tokyo propose a new mathematical definition of death based on whether a potentially dead cell can return to a predefined “representative state of living,” which are...

In the least surprising news of the day, White House resident Joe Biden was caught entirely off guard and face-planted when forced to improvise during a press conference. Biden on Tuesday delivered remarks about his decision-making on the U.S. economy at the Brookings Institution in Washington D.C. This comes as his fellow Democrats have blasted him for letting Trump take the spotlight on this issue and many others. But misfortune ensued for Biden when the Teleprompter he was reading went out, or in Biden’s words, “lost electricity.” He struggled to spit out his words for several seconds, undoubtedly confusing the...

He called himself Hitler and loved to put on ‘entertainments’. To amuse his dinner guests, he would force the prisoners in his charge to act as dogs, donkeys, cats or other animals. Those who failed to play their part would be beaten. ‘The dog has to bark, the cat meow, the rooster crow,’ recalled a former inmate. ‘Hitler tries to tame them. When he pets one dog the other dog should act jealous.’ ‘Hitler’ was a guard at a prison at the Mezze Air Base in Damascus and his sadism was unyielding even by the standards of Assad’s Syria. At...

There are no good guys in this fight. The ISIS and al Qaeda takeover bodes most ill. Christians and religious minorities face genocide. Sharia, the most system of governance on the face of the earth, will be imposed. “The international media has been trying to portray these “rebels” as plucky freedom fighters against the tyrant Assad, but actually they’re Islamic jihadis who will impose Sharia and make life miserable for the remaining Christians of Syria.
