A 39-year-old Chinese national who resides in Brentwood was arrested moments before boarding a flight to China for flying a drone over and photographing Vandenberg Space Force Base late last month, officials announced Monday.
According to a news release from the U.S. Department of Justice, Yinpiao Zhou, a Chinese citizen and lawful permanent resident of the U.S., was arrested Dec. 9 at San Francisco International Airport prior to his flight.

If convicted as charged, Zhou would face a maximum sentence of four years in federal prison.
A Chinese spy gets 4 years in prison. WTF!
Deport him to Syria.
“lawful permanent resident”.
NO, a SPY!
One of the few to be detected I am sure.
Newsom’s personal driver?
The border is wide open to anyone on the planet to enter the U.S. unabated. Spies, cartel members, gangsters, Iranians, cannibals etc...Those in D.C. then hold U.S. citizens at gun point while they seize our tax dollars to pay for this national suicide.
Btw, I’d bet there are more than 5,000 Chinese spies in the U.S.
diversity has consequences
How did they catch him at SFO just 3-4 hours after flying the drone? How come they were so efficient on this case?
Yes we know you are a Chicom Putin plant here.
Not to mention....
.... rustlers, cut throats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswogglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass-kickers, shit-kickers and Methodists.
I think he should remain permanent resident of the US, for life.
Instead of Brentwood, his new, permanent address should be in Colorado, more specifically, USP Florence ADMAX.
Drone flight occurred “last month”. It’s in the article.
I assume that any mainland Chinese in the USA is a spy.
Nice cut and paste. You get a D for attempt at creativity. ☺
Oh, I wasn't trying for creativity, just that your enumeration reminded me of Hedley's famous list in Blazing Saddles. I copy/pasted because there was no way I'd get the list right from memory. I'll take the D, thanks.
Question: Does the process when applying for permanent residency (green card) require a statement of allegiance?? It is considered the first step toward citizenship. I don’t know about now, but some years ago a new citizen had to swear allegiance to the USA and renounce citizenship of the former.
I like the bit about the Methodists...Funny stuff.
GPS tagged photos are used to provide ground truth for Chinese spy satellite imagery.
Biden has a habit of letting these Chinese spy’s go.
When the old Soviet Union collapsed, people showed up in their cars to watch and take pics and video outside of the local ANG base. We parked single-file on the shoulder of the road at the north end of the main runway and outside the perimeter fence. Some had camcorders and some had still cameras with long lenses. We lined up on the shoulder of the road to see inbound ANG F-16’s, A-7’s and F-4’s in the pattern over the lake. When they came back around, the F-4’s and F-16’s went back out again with a full afterburner/full climb touch & go as if to be putting on an impromptu mini-airshow. Many of those were flying “clean” and had no ordinance or external tanks on them. They were “cleared in hot” for awhile and then more of the F-4’s and A-7’s taxied out to the runway for take-off in pairs. When the Phantoms finally landed, cheers went up as their parachutes popped open. No law enforcement or MP’s bothered anyone out there. However, if somebody had put a drone with a camera on it up there it would would’ve been a different story.
