Democrats are suddenly much more worried about inflation and many now expect interest rates to climb over the next six months, according to a survey by YouGov for the Economist. That marks a dramatic swing from their pre-election expectations. At the end of October, in a survey taken between October 26th and the 29th, just 19 percent of Democrats...

The new supersonic plane breaks the mold with a radical new shape and digital cockpit, but it relies on ancient parts to make it all happen. [Photo: NASA/Wikipedia] NASA’s X-59 Quesst experimental aircraft has taken a major leap forward, firing up its engine for the first time. This marks a crucial and final milestone as the team prepares the first runway and flight tests that will lead to a long series of trials that aim to prove what computational simulations have already proven: that supersonic flight can happen without the deafening sonic boom that marred and eventually grounded aircrafts like...

(Reports show that in Ontario alone there were 428 possible criminal cases related to Canada’s assisted suicide program since 2018.) In Canada, doctors can treat their patients with an unusual medicine: death. While the nation claims its doctors meet “certain safeguards” before killing their patients under the label “euthanasia,” new documents show more than 428 possible criminal cases in the province of Ontario alone, according to The New Atlantis. This includes repeat and “blatant” offenders. Canada’s criminal code regulates the “medical assistance in dying” program, or “MAID.” Still, many of its doctors have been killing patients whose deaths could have...

Special Counsel Jack Smith has made a significant concession in the Florida case against President-elect Donald J. Trump, prompting speculation about the trajectory of one of the most closely watched legal battles in the country. In a filing submitted on Wednesday to the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, Smith cited the recent election results as a pivotal factor. He noted that Trump is expected to be certified as President-elect on January 6, 2025, and inaugurated on January...

All eyes were on Donald Trump's transition team Thursday, after a series of provocative and startling cabinet choices that showed the president-elect's preference for absolute loyalty above experience or expertise. Trump has been rapidly rolling out his foreign policy and national security picks, but he is expected to shift focus over the coming days to key figures to enact his domestic agenda. The Republican leader has yet to select treasury and commerce chiefs to help set tax and trade policy, a health secretary to oversee abortion, transgender care and a host of other potential flashpoints, or someone for education --...

To the delight of Normal People everywhere, MSNBC anchor Joy Reid deleted her Xwitter account Wednesday. The good news is that she released a TikTok video explaining her decision, and it’s quite the snit. Reid, who should have quit her hairstyle before quitting Xwitter, explained that she decided to give up her account with 1.9 million followers because “it was just not worth it.” She added that after Elon Musk bought the site, she stopped posting on Xwitter but still used it to get the latest news. But “in order to do the news aggregation and just look at all,...

No one should care what Fauxcahontas has to say. Why should anyone care what a woman who stole a job from a legitimate minority at Harvard has to say about anything? Elizabeth Warren is melting down, arguing that having Pete Hegseth as the Secretary of Defense would make the U.S. less safe. When you look at this in the context of our current woke Department of Defense that’s unable to hit its recruiting goals, how would having a decorated veteran make us less safe? From an online report: Elizabeth Warren says Trump’s pick for defense secretary ‘must be rejected’Sen. Elizabeth...

ABC News has plans to revamp The View in light of Donald Trump's commanding win in the 2024 election. ABC execs are said to be panicking over the fact that their roundtable features a collection of women who are uniformly aligned with Democrats despite the fact that Trump appears to have won the popular vote and won 46% of women voters, a 3% improvement over 2020. If 46% of women voted for Trump, maybe the view could find one woman to represent that perspective on the show?

A three-star hotel in northern Italy near the Dolomites has rejected a reservation made by a handful of young Israelis, simply because they are Israelis. The booking was made via the Booking.com online reservation service, which promotes the hotel as an establishment “ideally placed for hiking and cycling excursions as well as skiing.” But apparently the hotel is not as welcoming to Israelis. Those who booked the reservation online received the following response:“Good morning.
