Elections officials in Georgia have to certify results by the date required in state law, a judge ruled Monday, saying they have no discretion to delay certification because of fraud concerns or other potential issues that may arise as votes are being counted. Fulton County Judge Robert McBurney wrote in an order Monday that "election superintendents in Georgia have a mandatory fixed obligation to certify election results" by Nov. 12. A new migrant caravan of approximately 1,000 migrants departed from Mexico’s southern border this weekend to make its way to Mexico City. From there, the group is expected to disperse and find various ways to reach the U.S. border. There has apparently still been no conversation between former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and President Joe Biden (D) since he was pushed out of the 2024 presidential race. Russian forces have made significant advances on the front line, capturing 5.5 times more territory in August and September 2024 than they did throughout all of 2023. This data comes from analysts at the UA War Infographics project, who shared their findings on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
