Ray Ortlund, the pastor of Immanuel Church in Nashville and a well-known contributor to The Gospel Coalition, has pulled off quite the act for years. He’s been quietly cultivating his “conservative” persona, preaching from a pulpit of orthodoxy while, in reality, cozying up to the left. Well, the cat’s out of the bag now. He has now openly endorsed Kamala Harris for president. Image Not that we didn’t already know he was a closet leftist, but his recent tweet—“Never Trump. This time Harris. Always Jesus”—is all we need to prove it. Let’s break it down, when he says, “Never Trump,”...

On Tuesday night, CBS News will host the vice presidential debate between Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) and Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) five weeks before the election. There's been plenty of chatter about whether Vice President Kamala Harris regrets not picking Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) instead, especially with how close Pennsylvania looks to be. Sure enough, Walz might not be feeling too ready. "Heading into the vice presidential debate, Tim Walz is fighting nerves" read a CNN headline this weekend. The idea of a nervous Walz was came up during a panel on the network. In addition to emphasizing how "nervous"...

Five hundred threads ago, most of us were on our own, in various states of wakefulness ranging anywhere from sound asleep to standing a watch on information warfare duty.Across the world, all those who left the MSM Matrixx behind in search of the truth formed small enclaves, shared information, analyed Q drops for clues and scoured the web for answers. From them came the memers, and the red pill legion.Worldwide, the Q movement grew larger, more committed, and more connected. At the same time, the information we learned grew darker, and the challenges to accept the existence of the formerly...

Ministers in Israel’s Political-Security Cabinet in the early hours of Tuesday morning local time agreed on an operational strategy for Israel’s "limited" invasion into Lebanon, but tensions were high after officials were reportedly frustrated that the news of the operation had been leaked hours before they even met. An unnamed U.S. security official confirmed to Fox News and other outlets Monday morning that a "limited" invasion into Lebanon was imminent. And when questioned by reporters on it later, President Biden appeared to confirm the claims and said, "I'm more aware than you might know." But when asked if he was...

In the wake of the death of all-time baseball great Pete Rose, tributes to one of the sport's most decorated and complicated players have begun pouring in. Philippe Lazzarini, the head of the UN “Palestinian refugee” agency UNRWA, on Monday denied knowing that one of the agency’s employees, Fateh Sherif Abu el-Amin, was a Hamas commander in Lebanon, Reuters reported. Hamas announced earlier that el-Amin, who led its Lebanon branch, was eliminated in an Israeli air strike in southern Lebanon along with family members. Lazzarini acknowledged that el-Amin had been suspended from his job and put under investigation back in March due to concerns about his affiliations, but added, "The specific allegation at the time was that (he was) a part of the local leadership... I never...

A substantial number of patients with brain metastases who experience cognitive side effects following radiation therapy may fully regain cognitive function, according to a pooled analysis of three large, Phase III clinical trials. Recovery was more likely for people treated with conformal, or highly targeted, radiation techniques, compared to standard whole-brain treatment. The two most common types of conformal radiation are stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), which delivers fewer, but higher doses of radiation per treatment to the tumor site, and hippocampal avoidance WBRT, which limits radiation exposure to the parts of the brain known to contribute to neurocognitive side effects that...

Lamotrigine, a drug commonly used to treat epilepsy and certain mood disorders, has been shown to be an excellent treatment option for a rare genetic neuromuscular disease known as non-dystrophic myotonia, in a world-first trial. The study detailed the "head-to-head" trial implemented by the researchers to test two drugs, mexiletine and lamotrigine, on people with the condition. Patients were randomly assigned to receive either mexiletine for eight weeks followed by lamotrigine for eight weeks, or the reverse order, with a seven-day break in between treatments. Neither the participants nor the researchers knew which treatment was being given at any time....

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday called on the United Nations General Assembly to invoke the use of force, referencing a resolution passed in 1950, if the UN Security Council is unable to halt Israel's strikes in Gaza and Lebanon, Reuters reported. "The UN General Assembly should rapidly implement the authority to recommend the use of force, as it did with the 1950 Uniting for Peace resolution, if the Security Council can't show the necessary will," Erdogan said following a cabinet meeting in Ankara. The 1950 resolution allows the UN General Assembly to intervene if disagreements between the Security...

The Arizona Secretary of State’s Office announced Monday night that approximately 120,000 more voter registrations were discovered to have not been checked for citizenship, more than double the previous estimate. The Gateway Pundit previously reported that a supposed error in the Arizona Motor Vehicle Department’s (MVD) system caused nearly 100,000 voter registrations to be validated without properly verifying the registrants’ citizenship. According to officials, this issue has existed for 20 years, allowing individuals who received a driver’s license before 1996 to vote without citizenship verification. The issue was discovered on or before September 10 but not announced until September 17....

According to a Phys.org report, Guido Schreurs of the University of Bern and his colleagues suggest that rock-cut terraces and chambers at the remote archaeological site of Teniky in southern Madagascar were carved some 1,000 years ago by a Zoroastrian community. High-resolution satellite images revealed that Teniky was much larger than previously thought. Schreurs and his colleagues then identified dozens of circular and rectangular stone niches carved into the cliffs. Circular recesses in these niches may have been used to close the spaces with wooden or stone slabs, he explained. Charcoal and pottery recovered during the investigation have been dated...

A Montana man found guilty of illegally cloning sheep is due to be sentenced today in a first-of-its-kind case. Arthur 'Jack' Schubarth of Vaughn, 81 , used sperm imported from Kyrgyzstan to create a gigantic Marco Polo sheep he called the Montana Mountain King. The decade-long attempt to clone and create hybrids from the hulking sheep, which can weigh 300lb and have curled horns up to five feet long, aimed to provide sheep to be used for trophy hunts in Texas and Minnesota. Schubarth's attorney described his client's efforts as being like 'Jurassic Park' and told the court that cloning...

As of July 2024, the American economy had 7.7 million job openings. This is up from less than 5 million a decade ago. In a recent interview Mike Rowe, the well-known host of “Dirty Jobs” said the pressure on young people to get expensive college degrees combined with the “harebrained” decision to pull shop class out of high school has resulted in an enormous debt burden and a widening skills gap. Rowe believes many of the vacant positions are for what he calls “dirty jobs” — blue collar work that requires training and experience in the trades rather than the...

The Grand Wizard's spell has been broken and not a minute too soon U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said: “As alleged in the Indictment, for years, Sean Combs used the business empire he controlled to sexually abuse and exploit women, as well as to commit other acts of violence and obstruction of justice. Today, he is charged with racketeering and sex trafficking offenses. If you have been a victim of Combs’ alleged abuse – or if you know anything about his alleged crimes – we urge you to come forward.
