According to a Texas Department of Public Safety internal email, a copy of which was sent to Dallas Voice through a local attorney, DPS has — unilaterally and without any public notice — decided to stop amending gender markers on Texas driver licenses and state ID cards. The email also indicates that the DPS will create a database of all individuals who request to have the gender marker on their license or ID changed. The policy change follows an earlier request from Texas Attorney General that DPS provide his office with records from individuals who had had gender markers corrected...

Archaeologists recently identified the remains of four human funerary burials from approximately 3,800 years ago in a space in northern Peru associated with a water cult. The bundled funeral remains belong to two children, a teenager, and an adult. They were buried facing the Andean mountains and interred with symbolic offerings, such as stone pendants and snail shells. The remains were found nestled between mud and stone walls near a valley in Peru’s dry, coastal Viru province by the Virú Valley Archaeological Research Project (PAVI) of the National University of Trujillo (UNT). We’ve got about 75 more days left until the election, and who knows what the hell will happen that will change everything? If the last 25 years have been any indication, something will happen, and it’s going to be weird. We only have black swans anymore. We need to be looking for the white swan among the black flock. What can happen? Well, there’s the Democratic National Convention. It’s going on as I write this and we might see total chaos. The Democrats, on the streets, inside the arena, and aboard the abortion/castration RV, could show America their true colors...

Employees of the Noguchi Museum in Queens, New York, staged a walkout today in protest of a new internal dress code banning keffiyehs, which they deemed “distinctly anti-Palestinian.” This is the second staff work stoppage at the Noguchi, following an action on August 15. Some 50 workers—who, at an institution of roughly 70 employees, represent a majority of its labor force—have signed a petition demanding museum leadership rescind the policy, which was reportedly instated on August 14 in response to a single staffer wearing the Palestinian headscarf on-site. The petition, sent on August 19 by the group Noguchi Museum Rights,...

“The political influence of AAPI voters is only growing, with the nomination of Kamala Harris for president as the latest milestone in our community’s progress,” said New York State Senator Iwen Chu, the first Asian-American woman to be elected to that legislature. “Now it is time for us to band together,” Chu, also a delegate to the Democratic convention, added. According to the survey, the Asian communities most favourable toward Trump were Vietnamese, Filipinos and Japanese, while those who viewed him most unfavourably were Chinese and Koreans. Overall, more than two-thirds of Asian-American voters reported worrying about hate crimes, harassment...

A popular bookstore in Brooklyn essentially axed a planned book launch event at the last minute due to the moderator’s views on Israel — with an employee telling the author that they “did not want a Zionist on [their] stage,” The Post has learned. Joshua Leifer was just a few hours from taking the stage at Powerhouse Arena in Dumbo Tuesday to discuss his new book with Rabbi Andy Bachman when he learned that the venue was taking issue with Bachman’s pro-Israel politics. “[They said they] would not be willing to host a conversation between me and Andy because they...

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania Democrats have won legal challenges keeping the left-wing Party for Socialism and Liberation off the battleground state's presidential ballot, at least for now, while a lawyer with deep Republican Party ties is working to help independent candidate Cornel West get on it. The court cases are among a raft of partisan legal maneuvering around third-party candidates seeking to get on Pennsylvania’s ballot, including a pending challenge by Democrats to the filing in Pennsylvania by independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. A Commonwealth Court judge agreed with two Democratic Party-aligned challenges on Tuesday, ruling that...

A revolting surprise greeted Democratic convention-goers Wednesday when maggots were found during a hotel breakfast service — and the FBI is now investigating the apparent activism-related incident. “We can confirm that a group of individuals caused a disruption at a DNC-related breakfast event at our hotel this morning,” Fairmont Chicago hotel spokesperson Haley Robles told WGN-TV. “Our team acted immediately to clean and sanitize the area, ensuring that the event could continue without further incident.” An FBI van was spotted by the local outlet outside the hotel, which is hosting state delegates from Indiana, Minnesota, Ohio, Missouri and South Dakota,...

Vice President Kamala Harris threw her support behind a federal ban on price-gouging in the food and grocery industries last week. It was the first official economic policy proposal of her presidential campaign, and it was pitched as a direct response to the high price of putting food on the table in America today. “To combat high grocery costs, VP Harris to call for first-ever federal ban on corporate price-gouging,” the Harris campaign proclaimed in the subject line of a news release last week, ahead of a speech laying out the first planks of her economic agenda. It is still...

Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday said his strategy for the fall is less geared toward turning out supporters to vote and more focused on ensuring Democrats “don’t cheat” in the general election. "Our primary focus is not to get out the vote, it is to make sure they don’t cheat," Trump said in remarks at a campaign event in Asheboro, N.C., a state that Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign views as competitive this year. “We are going to fight like hell to win this election,” he added. “They are going to cheat like hell to win the election because...

How to attack former President Donald Trump? It’s a question that has tormented Democratic Party strategists for nearly a decade. Hillary Clinton called him “Dangerous Donald” and a racist. President Biden uses grave and lofty terms to describe him imperiling American democracy. Vice President Kamala Harris is trying something different: deflating him. The first two nights of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago have brought into sharper focus the lens through which Ms. Harris and her allies intend to frame Mr. Trump from now until Election Day. In slickly produced videos shown to delegates and in speech after speech, a...

Vladimir Putin's slow response to the incursion of Ukrainian forces into the border region of Kursk could ultimately leave him facing the wrath of his long-time enablers. Russia was caught unprepared by the offensive and reportedly is drafting conscripts to repel some of Ukraine's most battle-hardened units. Putin has a history of responding slowly to various crises in his tenure, and he has so far played down the attack. In his 24 years in power, Putin has portrayed himself as the only person who can guarantee Russia's security and stability but that image has suffered since the war began.

CHICAGO, Illinois — Green Party presidential candidate Dr. Jill Stein told Breitbart News in an exclusive on-camera interview she believes the “Deep State” is making the decisions in the Biden administration. She also predicted that Vice President Kamala Harris’s “ship” would “sink.” Breitbart News videographer Matthew Perdie caught up with Stein after her rally at the Grace Church of Logan Square in Chicago that countered the second night of the Democratic National Convention just miles away from the United Center.

exas Attorney General Ken Paxton has launched a comprehensive investigation into allegations that nonprofit organizations are unlawfully registering noncitizens to vote in Texas. Investigators from the Texas Attorney General’s Election Integrity Unit have been actively conducting undercover operations to identify potential voter registration of noncitizens across the state.
