New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) announced Wednesday the state would cancel $100 million in medical debt for nearly 50,000 residents. “Medical debt can follow someone for decades. Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin has been transferred to a prison in Texas after surviving a stabbing in an Arizona facility. The U.S. economy created 818,000 fewer jobs than originally reported in the 12-month period through March 2024, the Labor Department reported Wednesday. A number of large-bladed "zombie" knives have been handed in to a Welsh police force before legislation makes them illegal to own. North Wales Police shared an image of the knives, which were handed in to officers in Caernarfon, Gwynedd, for destruction.
