Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin has been transferred to a prison in Texas after surviving a stabbing in an Arizona facility.

Chauvin was convicted in April 2021 of murdering George Floyd, a Black man, by kneeling on his neck for more than nine minutes. He was sentenced to more than 22 years in prison for the murder and was serving his sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Tucson, Ariz. The facility is a medium-security one, but has reportedly faced problems with security and staffing.

He died of an overdose. How can they say he was murdered?

“He was sentenced to more than 22 years in prison...”

Nah, he was sentenced to death, they just haven’t been able to successfully execute the sentence yet.

In woke, 2024 America, we don’t have political prisoners. No sir.

I haven’t heard anything about appealing and not sure he had sufficient resources to mount an aggressive appeal. Does his union help with that or no since he was fired and convicted?

I don’t recall if any crowdfunding efforts were successful in helping him with resources for legal efforts..

The prosecutors and the jury wanted him convicted of murder and they did so. This is just another way for a cop to lose his career and life and another way to intimidate cops into not using force against resisting criminals.

No one reads the articles but you’ll have to read this much to answer your question:
“Chauvin, who was convicted on charges of second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter for killing Floyd, has attempted to appeal his conviction multiple times.

Last year, he asked the Supreme Court to review his conviction after Minnesota’s top court declined to hear the case. The high court denied his request.”

Chauvin was convicted in April 2021 of murdering George Floyd, a Black man, by kneeling on his neck for more than nine minutes.

Which won't kill anyone, and therefore is a lie.

Judge needs to go to prison. Prosecutor needs to go to prison. Jury needs to go to prison.

Double the time they gave Chauvin.

Because jurors were intimidated by Leftist mobs to convict him as the entire state government was behind the railroading of Chauvin for purely political reasons.

Floyd was a loser and a deadbeat dad was was a complete drain on society. Best thing he ever did for his family was swallow his stash after getting pulled over.

He has less chance of ever getting a fair trial than even Trump has.

Thank you for replying with an answer. It sounds like the wheels are off any appeal attempt; these and other things may continue if he has resources but each is less likely to succeed.

it wasn’t just that.

The summer of love mob was waiting outside the court house if they didn’t convict to tell them why they should have.

Every cop should have had a go bag foreign passport, a little cash, an ID and some bitcoin. When a situation like his happens, they need to act with the first two nights or so after the event. Walk out the door at 2am, go to the truck stop and put your phone on a semi headed who knows where. Go to the airport and get to a non extradition country fast.
Never look back.
When Leviathan casts it’s hungry eyes upon you in righteous political zeal... you are doomed.

Or turn in their badge as thousands have already done.

Or simply practice "drive-by-and-wave" policing until they can retire.

The get-out-of-Dodge scenario you describe is only worth if it you're involved in a ridiculously high paying criminal enterprise.
