The U.S. economy created 818,000 fewer jobs than originally reported in the 12-month period through March 2024, the Labor Department reported Wednesday.
As part of its preliminary annual benchmark revisions to the nonfarm payroll numbers, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said the actual job growth was nearly 30% less than the initially reported 2.9 million from April 2023 through March of this year.

Government figures always suck. They just want you to embrace the suck before you go vote.
Ya mean the commies lied..NO WAY they are such an honest bunch of lads/sarc
Bet the commie media says NOTHING about it, they dont want anything ruining their beloved Commie-LA’s coronation..so this is what Harris meant by Joy, nothing says joyful like waiting in a bread line
They don’t have to prop Biden up anymore.
Waiting on the next Democtat/Harris press release telling all how great the economy is.....
UNEXPECTED!
Everyone drink
It would be interesting to see someone calculate the statistical probability of so many revisions done in the same way. Just sayin’.
Even worse: it's always revised to a less beneficial number (e.g., unemployment and inflation are always revised upward and job creation and economic growth are always revised downward). True mistakes in calculations should be normally distributed between "good" and "bad". I can't recall one revision that was for the "good". Conclusion: the gov't lies consistently on the "good" side, and then tells the "bad" side later so it gets buried in the noise.
Obama played the same game in 2012. BLS cooked the employment stats to aid his reelection. No economic stat released by the Biden admin is credible.
Just like the revisions during the Dear Leader Zer0 years.

*DRINK* ;)
SO happy to be retired! Managing a multi-million dollar business during the ‘Reign of Error’ that was 0bama was bad enough! So HAPPY not to have those hassles these days.
Keep your chin up! President in Exile Trump will MAGA our way out of this one. Hopefully. It still might hurt for a while. ;)
Let us not forget that the revisions usually go in a negative direction for Dems after the original numbers look very good for them. Revisions go in a positive direction for Republicans after they have given them bad numbers in the first place.
