I am starting to think that Kamala Harriss's cognitive health is an issue. She can't complete sentences, is mostly incoherent, and her party/media/campaign are hiding her and treating her as if she is Joe Biden aka a veal calf.

The wall of the California Democrat supermajority has sprung a major leak. Democrat State Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil, who has recently conflicted with the majority of her party within the legislature, is now switching her party affiliation to Republican. Alvarado-Gil represents Senate District 4, which encompasses parts of Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Inyo, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Mono, Nevada, Placer, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne counties. “‘Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth’” (Matthew 6:19). A true believer is not to hoard earthly possessions. You may remember this old adage: “The miser says coins are flat that they may rest in stacks; the spendthrift says they are round that they may roll.” In Matthew 6:9 Jesus is specifically talking about the miser. The Greek verb translated “lay up” is thesaurizete, from which we get the word thesaurus—a treasury of words. Jesus is using a play on words by saying, “Do not treasure up treasures for yourselves.” The context of the passage shows that He...

Condo listings in Florida have skyrocketed as desperate owners attempt to dodge a costly new law requiring increased safety checks. The legislation was brought in following the 2021 collapse of the Champlain Tower South in Surfside, which killed 98 people. It later emerged that the condo association had postponed crucial repairs to avoid increasing costs, prompting lawmakers to introduced new regulations which take effect at the end of the year. As a result, the number of condos on the market has soared, especially in southern Florida, prompting warnings of a 'mass exodus.' There were 20,293 condo listings in the Palm...

Kamala Harris has gained 23 points in a new poll, with a surge that pushed her 9 points ahead of Donald Trump. The poll questioning independents, carried out by NPRS/PBS News/Marist, found that 53 percent of voters who identified as belonging to this group supported Harris and 44 percent backed Trump. This 9-point lead is a huge jump from the 14 points by which she was down in Marist's July poll, which found 46 percent of independents for Trump and 32 percent for Harris. The August survey, published on Tuesday, was carried out among 1,613 adults between August 1 and...

Prenatal exposure to higher levels of bisphenol A, a plastic commonly found in water bottles and packaging and known to leach into our foods and drinks, has been linked to autism spectrum disorder in boys, according to a new study that also identified the biological mechanism underlying this link. The risks of exposure to bisphenol A (BPA), an industrial chemical used in plastic manufacturing and found in a wide variety of plastic products, are well-documented. Known to leach out of plastics and into the foods and beverages we consume, studies have linked BPA to health issues primarily because it mimics...

The Model 437, which was built by Northrop Grumman's subsidiary Scaled Composites, looks like the concept art aside from one very glaring detail. The first images of Northrop Grumman’s Model 437, an advanced air combat drone that could potentially fill the requirement for the Air Force’s and/or Navy’s “loyal wingman” Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) programs, as well as those of allies, have hit social media. The relatively small tactical jet looks impressive and is very much in line with the concept renderings we have seen of it, aside from one major detail — it has a cockpit. Yes, that’s right,...

When local restaurant owners make the difficult decision to close their doors for good, it often feels like the Madison area loses a little part of its identity. Recently, a few of those announcements have been about establishments old and new, including Nick's Restaurant of 60 years, Essen Haus of 40 years, Harvest of 20 years, Daisy Café & Cupcakery of 15 years, East Johnson Family Restaurant and The Ready Set, both open about three years, and Amara of about two years. They're places we'll miss that offered food and experiences we won't soon forget. Here's more information about their...

  • Kamala Harris Isn’t Giving Interviews. Any Questions?

The press has questions for Vice President Kamala Harris. She isn’t giving a whole lot of answers. In the nearly three weeks since President Joe Biden withdrew his candidacy, catapulting Harris to the top of the Democratic ticket, the vice president has shown little eagerness to meet journalists in unscripted settings. She has not granted an interview or held a news conference. On Thursday, after a rally in Michigan, she held her first “gaggle” with reporters covering her campaign. It lasted 70 seconds. Harris’ lack of engagement with the media has become a constant rallying cry on the political right,...

After 9/11, Nasrina Bargzie, an Afghan Muslim immigrant, was interviewed by law enforcement over troubling comments on the War on Terror reported by her friends. Today she’s the Deputy Counsel to Vice President Kamala Harris. After coming to America from a wealthy family in Kandahar, later a stronghold of the Taliban and Al Qaeda, Nasrina Bargzie was raised in Concord, CA, one of the state’s hubs for Afghan migrants, and quickly got involved in anti-American and pro-terrorist activism. In 2001, while attending college, she was interrogated by the FBI about comments she had made to her friends. It’s unknown what...

Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden will take to the campaign trail together next week for the first time since the octogenarian’s meek exit from the 2024 election race. Biden – currently with his feet up enjoying a long weekend break at his Delaware beach house – hadn’t been expected to make any major political appearances in support of his anointed successor until the Democratic National Convention, which starts August 19 in Chicago. Now he and Harris will head to Maryland on Aug. 15 for an event to “discuss the progress they are making to lower costs for...

A major ad industry group is shutting down, days after Elon Musk-owned X filed a lawsuit that claimed the group illegally conspired to boycott advertising on his platform. “GARM is a small, not-for-profit initiative, and recent allegations that unfortunately misconstrue its purpose and activities have caused a distraction and significantly drained its resources and finances,” the group said in a statement Friday. “GARM therefore is making the difficult decision to discontinue its activities.” The group, Global Alliance for Responsible Media, also known as GARM, is a voluntary ad-industry initiative run by the World Federation of Advertisers that aims to help...

Last year, State Fair of Texas officials were forced to review its weapons policy because of a shooting in the food court that injured three people.Police say 22-year-old Cameron Turner opened fire. They say he did not have a license to carry, which would have allowed him to have a gun.Because the State Fair of Texas is a private, not-for-profit organization, it can prohibit firearms within the fairgrounds. That includes gun owners with a license to carry or who practice constitutional carry, concealed carry and open carry.Other weapons, such as illegal knives, clubs, explosives, ammunition, and even replica or hoax...

Some experts believe that the future of fusion in the U.S. may be found in compact, spherical fusion vessels. A smaller tokamak is seen as a potentially more economical solution for fusion energy. The challenge lies in fitting all necessary components into a limited space. Recent research indicates that removing one key component used to heat the plasma could create the additional space required. Scientists at the...
