Speaking with Brian Kilmeade on Fox News radio, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg refused to credit just one man when it comes to the jump in GDP defense spending that NATO nations have made in 2024. Twenty-three of the 32 allies have now met their 2% commitments. "Former President Trump had a very clear message that the European allies had to pay more. This has been a message from consecutive U.S. administrations, and this message has had an impact," Stoltenberg said during his interview on ‘The Brian Kilmeade Show.'

Winston Churchill once famously said that “nothing in life is so exhilarating as to be shot at without result.” For Donald Trump, the failed assassination attempt in Pennsylvania could prove politically exhilarating. After rising with a fist pump and a call to fight on, Trump seems to have gone from being a movement to a mythological figure with his supporters. All he needs now is a big blue ox named Babe to return to the campaign trail. This assassination attempt should also concentrate the minds of everyone on the escalating rhetoric in this campaign, particularly the media in maintaining inflammatory...

VIDEOObserve Joe Biden's Las Vegas stop at Mario's Westside Market. There are no DEI Secret Service agents guarding him. The DEI agents are reserved only to "guard" candidates that DOCTOR Jill doesn't like such as President Trump. Trump's security detail was crawling with DEI agents when the shots rang out on Saturday in Butler, PA. But for Biden only the BEST meaning large completely professional men guarding him as you can see with not a DEI in sight.Oh, and a bonus laugh here when someone (probably the press) yelled out that Biden would lose if he is the Democrat nominee....

A federal appeals court upheld a ruling striking down a Minnesota law restricting public handgun permits from those under the age of 21. The U.S. Appeals Court for the 8th Circuit panel of three judges ruled 3-0 in favor of the Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus and other pro-gun groups. They found that the law, the Minnesota Citizens’ Personal Protection Act of 2003, barring 18 to 20 year olds from obtaining the permits, violated the 2nd and 14th amendments. “Minnesota has not met its burden to proffer sufficient evidence to rebut the presumption that 18 to 20-year-olds seeking to carry handguns...

On Tuesday's Morning Joe, NBC News law enforcement correspondent Tom Winter repeatedly cautioned people not to jump to conclusions about the shooter's motive. But Winter then proceeded to pass along this bit of anonymous conjecture: "It is possible that Donald Trump—and there's a bit of a theory in law enforcement—is it possible that Trump was not conservative enough for this individual?"So be cautious, people! But, there's "a bit" of a theory among some anonymous law enforcement sources that Trump wasn't "conservative enough" for the shooter. Does speculation get much more irresponsible than that? But anything goes, apparently, for Morning Joe...

The mother of a first grader punished for handing an “innocent” drawing with the phrases “black lives matter” and “any life” to a classmate of color is appealing to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals after a lower court ruling declared first-grade students are too young to be protected by the First Amendment. After a first grade lesson on Martin Luther King Jr. and Black Lives Matter, a student who felt bad for her classmate of color drew a picture for that classmate to allegedly help the classmate feel more included. The picture had the phrase “Black Lives Mater” (sic)...

In 1974, the Supreme Court seemingly approved a special prosecutor’s authority in then-President Richard Nixon’s case over the Watergate tapes subpoena. But in dismissing the classified documents case against Donald Trump on Monday, U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon rejected language from that Supreme Court ruling to find that Jack Smith was unlawfully appointed as special counsel against the former president. How could she have done so? Putting aside for a moment that she may be reversed on appeal, the answer lies in something called dicta, meaning language in an opinion that isn’t necessary to the ruling. Cannon deemed the language...

Female Secret Service agents have caught a lot of backhanded remarks as the country has reacted to the recent shooting of Donald Trump. Some people even seem to think having Lady Secret Service agents might not be the best idea in every situation. That's absolute hogwash! We at the Babylon Bee understand the critical role female agents play in the Secret Service, so we've put together this listicle to help underline all of the special talents these ladies bring to the table: 1. They can hold up their little makeup mirror thingies to reflect the sun into the eyes of...

As more information emerges about the assassination attempt on Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania this past Saturday, the idea that a 20-year-old gunman, operating alone, evaded security and was able to fire off multiple shots at the former President before being taken out by snipers appears more and more suspicious. The gunman also had no social media presence and had not previously demonstrated any strong political leanings.

Explanation: When Vulcan, the Roman god of fire, swings his blacksmith's hammer, the sky is lit on fire. A recent eruption of Chile's Villarrica volcano shows the delicate interplay between this fire -- actually glowing steam and ash from melted rock -- and the light from distant stars in our Milky Way galaxy and the Magellanic Clouds galaxies. In the featured timelapse video, the Earth rotates under the stars as Villarrica erupts. With about 1350 volcanoes, our planet Earth rivals Jupiter's moon Io as the most geologically active place in the Solar System. While both have magnificent beauty, the reasons...

The federal government has ordered the Vineyard Wind farm to shut down until further notice because of a turbine blade failure this weekend. Several beaches were closed on Tuesday while crews worked to clean up "large floating debris and fiberglass shards" from the broken wind turbine blade off the coast of Martha's Vineyard. A total of six south shore Nantucket beaches were closed to swimming due to debris that washed ashore. "You can walk on the beaches, however we strongly recommend you wear footwear due to sharp, fiberglass shards and debris on the beaches," the Nantucket Harbormaster said. Vineyard Wind...

The local police officer who encountered the would-be assassin of former President Donald Trump “did not retreat” and tried to grab his gun but fell backwards, injuring himself in the process. The officer is now in “pretty bad” mental shape, Butler Township Commissioner Edward Natali said, explaining that media outlets are wrongly blaming local officers for what happened Saturday evening in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The gunman who tried to assassinate Donald Trump fired from a rooftop that the U.S. Secret Service had declared to be outside its security perimeter -- a fatal omission that the agency should not have made, according to two of its former officials. Two local Pennsylvania police officers who went to check out a dispatch call of a suspicious person in the area were alone when one of them, hoisted up by a partner to check the roof, was confronted by the gunman, 20-year-old Thomas Crooks, Butler County Sheriff Michael Slupe said in an interview.

It might not reach the epic level of the 1975 “Thrilla in Manila” heavyweight boxing contest between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier, but the rematch is now official: Joe Biden, the president, against former president Donald Trump in November. And with that, the stark contrast between two opposing economic philosophies: the government-as-agent approach of Biden that has prevailed for the past three years and the populist, laissez faire, deregulatory ethos that comprised the Trump economic agenda from 2017 until COVID-19 intervened. Biden’s successes and failures are well known by now: the strong performance of the labor market, the better-than-expected economic...

Rep. Derrick Van Orden (R-Wis.) appeared to call Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) a “little b‑‑‑‑” after an awkward exchange with former Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) at the Republican National Convention. Gaetz taunted McCarthy on the floor of the convention on Tuesday night, telling the former speaker that he would “get booed off the stage” if he were to speak at the event. Van Orden reacted to a clip of the exchange on social media platform X, where he pushed back on a description of the incident that said Gaetz needed to be “physically held back” by security. “I just saw...
