After California agreed that enforcing its licensing requirement was unconstitutionally irrational, the court ruled that small business owner Jay Fink is free to help Californians stand up to spam.. U.S. District Judge Rita Lin has permanently enjoined the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services from enforcing its private-investigator licensing requirement against anti-spam entrepreneur Jay Fink. The order declares that forcing Jay to get a license to run his business is so irrational that it violates the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. “I’m thankful that I won’t have to worry about losing my livelihood anymore,” said Jay, who...

File Photo: An alligator suns itself at Jarvis Creek Park on Hilton Head Island. At 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the Hilton Head Island park about a man acting erratically and swimming in the pond. The man, who wasn’t arrested, told deputies that he was in the water and “wanted to see if he could take on an alligator,” the incident report says. The man...

ormer national security advisor John Bolton said Friday on CNN’s “Newsroom” that President Joe Biden is telling Democrats to “Suit up, lemmings” because he is “going off the edge of the cliff” and taking them with him. Bolton said, “The message that President Biden basically gave to the Democratic Party yesterday evening was ‘Suit up, lemmings, I’m going off the edge of the cliff and you’re coming with me.'” He continued, “Now, if that’s what the Democrats want to do, you know, they will elect Trump. They’ll also help elect a lot more Republican senators and House members. There is...

Three-quarters of Europe’s Jewish community hide their identities as they fear being harassed or attacked by anti-Semites. Jews in EU member states are in the grip of a “rising tide of anti-Semitism”, an EU rights agency that conducted the survey said, as it blamed increased tensions over the war in Gaza. Across Europe, 76 per cent said in the survey they hid their Jewish identity “at least occasionally” while 34 per cent said they took care to avoid Jewish events or places as they did not feel “safe” there. Sirpa Rautio, the director of the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights...

NATIONAL PECAN PIE DAY Grab a slice on July 12 and celebrate National Pecan Pie Day! Mix up the ingredients using primarily corn syrup, pecan nuts, salt, and vanilla. Occasionally, recipes vary by including sugar syrup and molasses or maple syrup. Other additions include chocolate and bourbon whiskey in some regions of the country. Top it all off with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. #NationalPecanPieDay Pecan pie is considered a specialty of Southern U.S. cuisine. Many attempts to trace the origins of the pecan pie have not been successful. The earliest dated recipes come from 1897. However, claims of...

Most people would agree that politics and religion are the two most likely topics that divide even the best of friends. Websters dictionary says that politics is the political opinions or sympathies of a person, while it says that religion is a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith. I don’t see the difference between the two. When I watch elected officials on the floor of the US Senate or House, I am reminded of an old friend of mine who pastors a church in Columbus, Georgia. He will flail his arms all around...

Following massive online criticism, Fort Liberty has walked back a slide in an anti-terrorism presentation that claims pro-life Americans are terrorists. As LifeNews.com reported, Journalist Sam Shoemate exposed the terrorism briefing on X (Twitter) that was held at Fort Liberty (Bragg) yesterday where they listed several Pro-Life organizations as “terrorist organizations.” The military facility has since walked back the slide with a post on X (Twitter). “After conducting a commander’s inquiry, we determined that the slides presented on social media were not vetted by the appropriate approval authorities, and do not reflect the views of the XVIII Airborne Corps and...

A federal judge has decided not to rule on a South Dakota lawsuit challenging a pro-abortion ballot measure initiative — for now. The ballot measure would enshrine the “right” to abortion in the state’s constitution, and Judge Karen Schreier said she wants to hear from a state court before she rules. In June, the pro-life organization Life Defense Fund filed a federal lawsuit against the ballot measure, alleging that the group behind the measure, Dakotans for Health, broke election laws in its process of gathering petition signatures, and misled people as to what they were signing. In her Friday ruling,...

~Two years ago tomorrow - July 13th 2022 - GB News became the first over-the-airwaves (and, in UK terms, Ofcom-regulated) broadcast network anywhere to air a one-hour special on victims of the Covid vaccines. All that year, I had covered the story in nightly segments with concerned medical professionals and, more importantly, with individual victims triply injured - first by myocarditis or Guillain–Barré syndrome or some other affliction, next by government stonewalling, then by the media's denial of their very existence. But at some point we thought it worth tying it all together for our first ever single-issue show with...

The more conservatives digest what happened in Milwaukee on Monday, the more unsettled pro-lifers seem to be. Apart from the communist-like tactics the RNC used to ram the platform through the process, there’s deep dismay at the territory Republicans surrendered to Donald Trump — territory, some worry, Republicans won’t get back. A few days removed from the shocking treatment of delegates, which they’ve characterized as everything from “demoralizing” to “dismissive” and “insulting,” more leaders are sounding the alarm that Republicans are betting their longtime principles on short-term gain. This document, former Congressman Keith Rothfus laments, is “an abandonment of GOP...

Trump knows that Barron has a strange hold on the affections of many of his most hardened supporters. And if there's anything more outlandish than the personality cult that surrounds him, it's the one that is rapidly developing around his youngest child. ... These cherry-picked details helped spawn a bizarre theory – eagerly taken up by pro-Trump tin-foil hatters - that Donald and Barron are time-travellers and that Barron will one day become an all-conquering 'American Caesar'.

U.S. — As the November presidential election continued to draw closer, prominent Democrats gave the American people a stern warning about the prospect of a terrifying fascist state where government shrinks and people can afford groceries. The potential future, which Democrats pleaded with voters to avoid by defeating Donald Trump, would plunge the nation into a hellish wasteland of less crime, cheaper gas, and lower real estate prices. "An unspeakable, horrifying hellscape," Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said in a sobering statement to the media. "A darkened world once thought to be unimaginable, where everyone can find a job, food...

Democratic Rep. Brittany Pettersen of Colorado is one of several Democrats who have called on President Joe Biden to drop out of the election following the president’s press briefing on Thursday. Pettersen released a statement Friday following Biden’s highly criticized NATO press briefing, in which he committed several crucial gaffes that fueled continued speculation that the president is not mentally fit for another four-year term. Connecticut Rep. Jim Himes, California Rep. Scott Peters and Illinois Rep. Eric Sorensen also called on Biden to step down following the briefing, with Peters saying “we are on a losing course,” keeping Biden in...

Left-wing actor-comedienne and TV host Rosie O’Donnell has joined the chorus of Hollywood elites calling for Joe Biden to step aside and let some other candidate rise as the Democrat Party’s standard bearer for the 2024 election for president. O’Donnell jumped to her X account on Friday to note that she now agrees with an article written by left-wing commentator Ezra Klein, who back in February wrote a New York Times editorial in which he concluded that Joe Biden simply wasn’t the best candidate for 2024. Klein urged someone in the party to convince Biden to step aside and close...

ESPYs host Serena Williams and Quinta Brunson took a jab at Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker during the awards ceremony Thursday night. The moment happened as Williams and Brunson discussed women's sports with Venus Williams at the sports awards show. "So, go ahead and enjoy women’s sports like you would any other sports, because they are sports," Venus said. "Except you, Harrison Butker. We don’t need you," Serena quipped. "At all. Like, ever," Brunson added as the audience laughed. Butker attended the ESPYs, but the camera did not pan to him to catch his reaction. The NFL kicker received...
