The number of times firearms are used in self-defense is difficult to quantify. In a rare analysis of data concerning deaths related to firearms, the Colorado Center for Health & Environmental data has produced figures that indicate firearms are commonly used for self-defense.The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment analyzed 5,287 firearm-related deaths in Colorado from 2016 to 2020. Of those deaths, the vast majority, 73.6%, were suicides. 24.9% were homicides/assaults (about 1316). Of the homicides, 24.7% were justifiable self-defense (about 325).Firearms availability has minimal if any, effect on overall suicide rates. Firearms availability may increase or decrease overall...

Biden’s America is great! (Except it’s not.) There is a political cartoon that shows a gray, genderless non-player character asking a real man, “Who radicalized you?” The man leans forward and whispers to the lefty NPC, “You did.” It is a brilliantly succinct depiction of our historical moment. Right now the NPC news media is pretending that it just discovered Joe Biden’s raging dementia when his brain crashed during the president-ish debate. Literally right up to the beginning of that June 27 public revealing of the emperor’s neurological nakedness, the most respected, well-paid, and credentialed reporters in the land were...

Startling video of a woman furiously screamed at her boyfriend in an airport has left viewers aghast, with many urging him to 'run'. The young woman and her partner are seen involved in an argument in the waiting area of Fort Lauderdale Airport, Florida. The woman yells at the top of her lungs that she 'hates' her boyfriend in an expletive-ridden tongue-lashing.

Vigorous discussion erupted between voters on both sides of the aisle as they speculate whether there’s been a notable shift in political party affiliation — specifically among young people. According to the National Public Opinion Reference Survey (NPORS), and as emphasized by Newsweek, “Young people appear to be flocking to the Republican Party.” It seems these sources provide an outline for how the statistics have changed in recent years to reveal people under the age of 30 are now significantly more inclined to the GOP. It does not, however, give a reason for why this may be the case.

Voting rights advocates say a GOP push for legislation prohibiting noncitizens from voting is not about creating laws — that’s already prohibited. Yet the U.S. House could vote this week on a Republican bill outlawing noncitizens from voting in federal elections. Critics of the measure say it would aggravate racial disparities and is meant to chill voter turnout among the immigrant community. The bill would require people to provide “documentary proof of U.S. citizenship in order to register to vote in federal elections,” according to the bill summary. Claiming a need for increased election integrity, the GOP has pushed in...

The House of Representatives voted Thursday against a GOP-led effort to fine Attorney General Merrick Garland $10,000 a day until he provided audiotapes of an interview President Joe Biden gave in his classified documents case. Last month, House Republicans voted to hold Garland in contempt for refusing to comply with a request from lawmakers to hand over the audio of Biden's interview with Department of Justice (DOJ) special counsel Robert Hur. On Wednesday, GOP Representative Anna Paulina Luna introduced the resolution that would have imposed the fine on Garland until he complied with a congressional subpoena. However, Luna's measure failed...

Big Boy Presser The Washington Free Beacon compiled some of the best—that is, most concerning—highlights from President Joe Biden's Thursday night "big boy" press conference, during which the octogenarian leader vowed to stay in the race. Biden said he's "taken three significant and tense neurological exams." He failed to complete the sentence without stumbling through it. It was Biden's first solo press conference in Washington, D.C., since 2022.

What happens to Biden's $92.1 million war chest if Biden is replaced and Harris isn't the nominee? This is really the 800 pound gorilla in the room the mediacrats refuse to discuss.

Does China sense weakness in the White House? In recent days Chinese troops have been sent to Belarus for military exercises, dozens of Chinese military aircraft have been threatening Taiwan, and four Chinese military vessels were even detected off the coast of Alaska. So why has China decided to become so aggressive all of a sudden? Right now, Joe Biden is facing endless questions about his competency, and those around him are focused on fighting for his political survival. So could foreign adversaries such as China use this window of opportunity to do things that they may not normally attempt...

A larger Mag 6.4 earthquake tripped offshore of Seattle WA last night. It is the latest in a small swarm of Mag 4, Mag 5, and now Mag 6 earthquakes that began two days in the Cascadia Fault Zone that runs from British Columbia south to Northern California. The Cascadia Fault is regularly hit with Mag 8 (average interval 350 years) and occainsional Mag 9 (interval about 580 years) earthquakes. The last very large killed thousands of native Indians up and down the Washington and Oregon coastline in January 1700, and hundreds more in Japan from its tsunami waves.

Four-month-old Tanna Rae Wroblewski had been boating with her family on Lake Havasu when she suddenly lost consciousness due to suspected heat-related complications on July 5, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, which is probing the circumstances surrounding her death.

If President Joe Biden‘s goal in tonight’s press conference were to avoid being outed from office through the 25th Amendment, he would have succeeded. But in trying to save his campaign, he utterly failed. Biden clearly showed he is not completely non compos mentis. In general, he is aware of what is going on, and when he isn’t in a bad spell, he can essentially keep track of policy. What he did not come close to doing, though, is to convince anybody with half a brain that he will be up for the job for four more years. Biden looked...

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen. This is Bishop Mari Emmanuel addressing our beloved faithful. Whoever you are and wherever you are, we need to understand that we need to be always thankful to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. For whatever trials and tribulations we go through, we are carrying the cross. Let us not forget that at all. The Lord Jesus said to us, if you do not carry your cross every day and follow me, you are not worthy to be my disciple....

It has long been a generally accepted fact that western central banks continually attempted to manipulate gold and silver prices in the financial markets. For years, they conspired to artificially suppress the price of gold, pushing it lower by selling short massive numbers of gold futures contracts. Well, more evidence of this came to light just this past week – the last week of April/first week of May. And along with it came some pretty convincing indications that western central banks no longer wield sufficient financial clout to enable them to keep gold and silver prices down. China is the...

(RNS) — The Rev. John Parks was taking his first sabbatical in 40 years of ministry when he got a call from his church’s accountant with some bad news. Church Mutual, the church’s insurance company, had dropped them. “This does not make sense,” Parks, the pastor of Ashford Community Church in Houston, recalls thinking at the time. “We’ve never filed a claim.” Five months and 13 insurance companies later, the church finally found replacement coverage for $80,000 per year, up from the $23,000 they had been paying. “It’s been an adventure,” said the 69-year-old Parks from his home in Houston,...
