In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen.
This is Bishop Mari Emmanuel addressing our beloved faithful. Whoever you are and wherever you are, we need to understand that we need to be always thankful to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. For whatever trials and tribulations we go through, we are carrying the cross. Let us not forget that at all. The Lord Jesus said to us, if you do not carry your cross every day and follow me, you are not worthy to be my disciple. We thank the Lord Jesus for what took place in the last couple of days. I’m doing fine and recovering very quickly. We think the Lord Jesus. So there is no, no need to be worried or concerned and a piece of advice to our beloved faithfuls. I need you to act Christ like the Lord.
Jesus never taught us to fight. The Lord Jesus never taught us to retaliate. The Lord Jesus never said to us an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. The Lord Jesus said, never return evil with evil, but return evil with good.
For this is our master, our teacher, our leader, and our good shepherd who leads us to green pastures and still water. So my beloveds, I want you to always be calm. We need to be always law-abiding citizens as well. We need to cooperate with the police directives, whether it be at a state level or a federal level. We drive our country, our beloved country, Australia and our beautiful city of Sydney, and we pray that the Lord Jesus always protects this country and the people of this country. And we should never forget that we are very blessed to be Aussies, but above all, we are Christians, and we need to act like it. Love never fails. One Corinthians 13:8 “Love never fails.” Whatever has happened to me personally, I thank the Lord Jesus. It’s a huge blessing for me.
I forgive whoever has done this act, and I say to him, you are my son. I love you, and I’ll always pray for you. And whoever sent you to do this, I forgive them as well. In Jesus’ mighty name, I have nothing in my heart but love for everyone. Whether that person is a Christian or not, it’s totally beside the point. The Lord Jesus always taught us to love one another, love God and love your neighbour like yourself, whoever that neighbour is. We need to love them and respect them as we love and respect ourselves. So I have forgiven them. I’m praying for them, and for this young man, I say to you, “You’re my son, and you’ll always be [in] my prayers. May the Lord Jesus forgive you. May the Lord Jesus bless you and show you the way, my dear, my dear son.
And once again to our beloved faithful, we need to reflect Christ in our life.
The Lord Jesus never said, go out and fight on the street. Never said to retaliate, but to pray. And this is what I’m asking everyone to do. Pray my beloved, thank the Lord Jesus and respect the law of this country, and also adhere to the directives from our beloved police force, from the commissioners and to everyone else in this government. We need to be law-abiding citizens. God bless you all, and God willing, we will see you soon and go back to our normal duties once again, serving the Lord from the heart. God bless. Take care.
In addition to criticising non-Christian religions, such as Judaism and Islam, the Bishop is also known for preaching Anti-LGBT sermons and describing homosexuality as a "crime in the eyes of God". In one sermon, he stated that "Islam flourished and expanded with the sword". In addition, he has supported American former president Donald Trump, imploring him to remain faithful to Christianity and defy the influence of the Freemasons
On 29 April, in his first sermon after the attack (that marked the eastern orthodox Palm Sunday), the bishop stated that he lost his right eye, and was wearing an eyepatch. He declared that his eye injury as a "sacrifice", and said it should be taken as a indication of love towards Muslims, before addressing the topic of freedom of speech
Let he who has no sword, sell his cloak and buy one.
He would be wrong. The Bible permits us to defend our lives when our lives are in danger. However, we should try and minimize the harm we must do to stay alive. The less the better.
He is not saying don’t arrest crazies, just don’t use mob violence but rather love and determination to do go and follow law.
Jesus did not fight violently but absorbed the violence and look what happened.....we are free.
You may sacrifice yourself likewise in love, likewise, total love. Your gift of love will be rewarded by Christ.
You may also kill in defending the innocent. Your reward is on earth, and these did not lose their lives as martyrs but must live their faith another way. It is not worldy thinking, but heavenly thinking. Justice is God’s realm. We are to love and follow the good laws and order.
This jihadi is proud of himself and his god’s power over a non-submitter, who forgives and loves him in total love and meekness and weakness like Christ our, the, King. How long will this jihadi be puffed up?
Although this occurred not long after he was attacked, an Assyrian Church of/within Australia formally rebuked Emmanuel indicating he has no home there. The spokesman stopped short of calling Emmanuel a fraud. I’ll link the video should I manage to locate it.
The abbreviated productions of Emmanuel’s sermons are generally compelling and enjoyable. The man definitely loves Jesus Christ of Nazareth. However, I noticed puzzling positions regarding Israel getting the impression his heart belongs to Palestine. He’s also vocal about influential public & political figures as it relates primarily to strong Christian beliefs. He ultimately seems to be a wildcard.
I am not speaking to ideals. I am speaking about the permissible. We are permitted to defend ourselves. Evil would gladly wipe us all out if we didn’t stand up and defend ourselves.
However, in defending ourself, the Christian method is to do what is necessary to defend ourselves and not keep beating a person because we are angry at them for attacking us.
Once we have them under control, back off.
F**k this weak sauce. We need a New Crusades.
Christianity didn’t rise to stand astride history by everyone trying to play I’m more meek than you.
