The latest stories are that Joe Biden has been given only a few more days to prove he should be the Democrat nominee for president after his disastrous debate performance. If he leaves the race, the thinking is that the only person who could swoop in at this late stage and defeat Donald Trump in November is Michelle Obama, not Kamala Harris. The speculation is not without merit according to a new poll. Kamala Harris is a better-known quantity. She's held political office. She's one of the least respected and worst vice presidents America has ever seen. After slipping into...

Democratic swami James Carville has taken the drastic step of telling major party donors to stop contributing to politicians who still support President Biden after last week’s poor debate performance. Carville — the veteran strategist behind Bill Clinton’s successful 1992 White House run — cited Biden’s tanking poll numbers in a conference call with dozens of wealthy Dem contributors earlier this week, according to Semafor. “Seventy-two percent of people want something different — why not give it to them?’’ Carville reportedly said on the call.

In LA in 2020, I was living with three other roommates — one was my sister, and the other two were friends. There were four of us in this five-bedroom townhome, and the rent was $3,800 a month — which was actually pretty good. My portion of that rent was $1,100 because I had the master bedroom. I bought the house in Tulsa in November 2020, and it just sat vacant until I moved there in December. It's a three-bedroom, two-bath house with a two-car garage, and my mortgage is $1,185.

With a growing number of American voters expressing skepticism over U.S. involvement in Ukraine, Republican North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum doesn’t appear to be reading the room so well. Burgum who is on Donald Trump’s short list of potential running mates, appears to be doubling down on the neoconservative impulse to engage the rest of the world via military force. Burgum has long been on record as stating that the U.S. is engaged in a cold war with Russia and China. Now he’s being even more reckless, telling a reporter that “We’re at war with Russia, we just haven’t sent...

The problems early Americans faced in 1776 were very different from the problems we face today. For one thing, in those days Americans yearned to throw off the yoke of a white-haired, mentally confused ruler with serious memory problems given to impotent outbursts and hallucinations. One colorful anecdote holds that King George told Palace staff that cannibals ate his uncle, Baron Mosey. Haha! The colonists’ situation was totally different from our modern configuration. We enjoy a government by president, which a wise Latina Supreme Court Justice insisted this week is actually a King. You probably think I’m making some kind...

Biden’s campaign just released an ad to sow more Dem discord following the reasonable SCOTUS presidential immunity ruling. The mangled message of the “250 Years” ad is that for the first time in nearly 250 years the president is above the law -- that he is essentially a king. In their perverted minds, Donald J. Trump could be unbound when he returns to the White House. Of course, that’s unfounded fearmongering -- we already had him for four great years (COVID notwithstanding). In reality, it is Joe Biden who has been unbound, and unable, and unadvised, and unaware, and “un”...

Former Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean said Wednesday on “Anderson Cooper 360” that if President Joe Biden drop out of the race it is already “cooked” that Vice President Kamala Harris will be the Democratic nominee. Guest host Jim Sciutto said, “Joining The New York Times, The Boston Globe editorial board. They wrote today that President Biden should step aside and in their statement, they went on to make the case that having an open primary convention at this point would be exciting for the Democratic Party.”

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres warned of the evils of climate change Thursday, urging “greater ambition” to move away from fossil fuels. “Our climate is breaking down, threatening water and food security, driving displacement, and fueling political instability,” Guterres stated on X (former Twitter). “We need far greater ambition to slash emissions and deliver climate justice, starting with the biggest emitters,” he added. “Making peace with nature is the defining task of the 21st century,” contends the Portuguese Socialist. “It must be the top, top priority for everyone, everywhere.” Earlier this week, Guterres visited the former Soviet Socialist Republic of...

Housing prices are growing more unaffordable in the U.S., as high mortgage rates and rising home prices put ownership out of reach for millions of Americans. That's according to a new report published by real estate data provider ATTOM, which examined 572 U.S. counties and determined that median-priced homes in about 80% of those areas are out of reach for the average income earner, who makes about $71,214 annually. [cut] Affordability is worsening across the country, thanks to a second-quarter spike in both home prices and mortgage rates. Combined, the two have helped to push the typical portion of average...

Nebraskans are motivated to stand up to...

A union that represents Michigan corrections officers asked Gov. Gretchen Whitmer Wednesday to deploy the National Guard to help understaffed prisons. Byron Osborn, the president of the Michigan Corrections Organization - SEIU Local 526M, said in a letter to Whitmer that she needs to "take working conditions that have persisted and worsened" throughout her time as governor. The letter says that corrections officers have to work mandatory 16-hour overtime shifts per week, and have to run prison operations with "far less" than the number of officers required. Osborn said officers often have to work in isolated areas by themselves, jeopardizing...

National Right to Life President Carol Tobias is fond of saying that the abortion industry has the money, but the pro-life movement has the people, and we will take the people over the money any time. That proved true in the South Carolina Republican primary elections June 11 and the runoff June 25, when pro-life voters turned out to defeat three extremist Republican pro-abortion women senators and replace them with pro-life candidates who have pledged to support South Carolina Citizens for Life’s life-saving legislation. “These races show that South Carolina voters in the Republican primary care deeply about the protection...

Biden said that he had a "bad" debate performance against former President Trump but argued that his accomplishments during his term were more important in a radio interview Thursday. "I had a bad night," Biden said in an interview on July 4 with radio host Earl Ingram. "And the fact of the matter is that, you know, I screwed up." Biden has faced calls to step down from media figures as speculation over whether he can remain at the top of the ticket continues to dog his campaign. "I made a mistake," he told Ingram. "But I learned from my...

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) issued a Fourth of July message in which it urged Americans to “reelect President Joe Biden” to protect our “fragile democracy” from the threat of Donald Trump, a “wannabe dictator.” Its full statement follows: On July 4, 1776, our country’s forefathers declared the United States’ independence and laid the foundation for our nation’s founding principles of equality, freedom, and liberty that we still strive to live up to today. Since that time, generations of Americans have dedicated their lives to preserving our freedoms and working toward a more perfect union – from our men and...
