June 11 is the feast date of St. Barnabas, St. Paul‘s New Testament wingman. A Cypriot Jew named Joseph, “Barnabas” (“Son of Encouragement”) was so christened in the fourth chapter of the New Testament’s Acts of the Apostles because upon his conversion he sold his land for a donative to the Galileans. After that, Barnabas reappears throughout Acts as one of the most important of the early Christian missionaries, usually joining St. Paul — whom Barnabas himself introduced to the Christians after Paul got religion — as emissary to the non-Jews, for which purpose the Holy Spirit itself demanded him...

June 11 (UPI) -- The Utah Department of Transportation said it was a "melon-choly" morning on Interstate 80 when a truck spilled its load of watermelons into the roadway. The department shared photos on social media showing the sticky mess of smashed watermelons littering the roadway near Echo Reservoir in Summit County on Monday. A photo shows the semi truck that was carrying the melons with the side torn off of its trailer. It was not clear how the damage occurred. "It was a melon-choly morning on I-80 today," officials wrote. "At 3 a.m. our team learned of this fruity...

Treeper Question:ICTHEMATRIX – […] “Related to the topic of discerning alignment via a question, I would like to sincerely ask you your thoughts on a very real possibility:What are we to make of President Trump’s possible choice of Marco Rubio as his VP?In many columns and pages, you have chronicled the multiple failure points of Senator Rubio…his service within the corrupted Intelligence committee, and his non-MAGA compromises. I fear this could become another massive moment of fatally poor judgement.”The direct issue of the vice presidential pick of Donald Trump is a fun topic often discussed, because it can easily engage...

We owe it to our youth, our up and coming leaders, to stiffen our spines and to do what needs to be done – on our own terms – to assure their future. It is becoming increasingly difficult to believe that we are on our way to restoring security to our borders and safety to our citizens who reside in either the Gaza envelope or in Israel’s North, the Galilee, and the Golan. Our soldiers have been not only heroic, but also quite effective in the Swords of Iron campaign in Gaza. We have adapted brilliantly to the demands not...

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) called Hunter Biden’s conviction on federal gun charges “kinda dumb” in a post on the social platform X, minutes after the verdict was announced. Hunter Biden — the second-oldest son of President Biden — was convicted Tuesday afternoon on three federal gun charges. The felony charges alleged President Biden’s son lied about his sobriety when obtaining a gun in 2018, and illegally possessed the gun for 11 days. Hunter Biden’s verdict comes just two weeks after former President Trump was found guilty on all 34 felony counts in his New York hush money trial. Gaetz called...

The granular issue of this specific whistleblower story pertains to an FBI investigative employee who had his security clearance suspended after officials within the FBI discovered he attended a speech given by President Trump. However, the bigger issue uncovered during a review of that punishment was written FBI instructions from within the sector of the FBI that investigative and issues security clearances. In essence, the FBI has a documented standard that political ideology determines who will get security clearances approved. If a person supports President Trump, holds conservative views, or does anything that would identify themselves as not being in alignment with...

Hamas are the civilians. Americans expected Osama bin Laden to be found in a cave in Afghanistan. In reality, he was living comfortably in a military town in Pakistan under the protection of local authorities. Similarly, Israeli hostages, including the four who were last rescued, have come home telling stories of being kept captive in ‘civilian’ households. In both cases we fundamentally misunderstood what Islamic terrorism is. It’s not a “fringe group of extremists”, as politicians and the media describe it, but an ethnic and religious movement. The religious values of Islamic terrorists are universally shared by the vast majority...

To stand against the powers-that-be. One day, when unbiased, non-woke, not-in-the-tank-for-the-Democrats historians appear once again in our nation, they will draw apt comparisons between former President Donald J. Trump – before, during, and after the sham show-trial forced upon him by the Democratic machine seeking to keep him off the ballot – and the likes of Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and John Hancock. While some may find that a stretch, it is not. Just about two years ago, I authored a book titled: The 56 – Liberty Lessons from those who risked all to sign The Declaration of Independence. The...

After almost a year of stalemate, Ukraine has been forced to abandon dozens of front-line settlements this spring, with Russian troops holding a significant advantage in manpower and resources. Russia's defence ministry said Monday that its forces "continued to advance into the depths of the enemy's defence and liberated the settlement of Staromaiorske", located southwest of the Russian-held city of Donetsk.

NBC News chief political analyst Chuck Todd said Tuesday on MSNBC’s coverage of the Hunter Biden guilty verdict that it was a “really good day for the American system.” Todd said, “There are not many countries in the world where the son or daughter of said country would get prosecuted in their judicial system. This is how different America is, and I do think this is a really good day for the American system. Okay, that, you know what, it really does try to operate. Nobody says it’s perfect. We have plenty of flawed individuals in the Judicial Branch and...

Russia Collusion Hoaxtress Queen Rachel Maddow is spreading a conspiracy theory that a reelected President Donald Trump might ship her off to one of his “massive camps.” (snip) "So what am I saying…?Am I saying that putting Trump supporters in camps is next on the left’s agenda? You’re damn right I am."(snip)"When the rich, privileged, and powerful find themselves bottoming out with this kind of absurd fearmongering, especially about a presidential candidate who has already been president and done nothing like this, you’re looking at an ideology out of ideas — an ideology that has lost the argument and is now...
