President Joe Biden’s home state of Delaware has enlisted the help of former Obama administration Solicitor General Don Verrelli to argue in favor of loose election laws in the state. For Biden — who has decried election security laws in states like Georgia as “Jim Crow 2.0” — the looser the election laws the better. Yet Delaware — the president’s home state — doesn’t have universal mail voting or same-day registration, ever since the Delaware Supreme Court struck both practices down as unconstitutional in 2022. On Wednesday, the state’s highest court heard a case challenging the constitutionality of Delaware’s early voting...

In a twist of events, President Joe Biden may be the one spending the rest of the year worrying about legal issues, rather than his 2024 rival Donald Trump. Trump is heading into November's election having become the first current or former U.S. president to be convicted of a crime after a New York jury found him guilty of 34 felony charges in his hush money trial. However, it now seems likely that the former president will not stand trial in the other three criminal cases he is involved in before November's rematch with Biden. The classified documents case, the...

Tens of thousands of Canadians are emigrating from Canada to the United States and the number of people packing up and moving south has hit a level not seen in 10 years or more, according to data compiled by CBC News. There's nothing new about Canadians moving south of the 49th parallel for love, work or warmer weather, but the latest figures from the American Community Survey (ACS) suggest it's now happening at a much higher rate than the historical average. Yale Law Professor Jed Rubenfeld, a prominent legal scholar known for his work in constitutional law, privacy rights, and the First Amendment, has provided a legal roadmap for Donald Trump’s attorneys to potentially overturn the former president’s ‘guilty’ verdict before the crucial 2024 election. In a recent video, Rubenfeld begins by explaining the complexities of the case. “Nobody wants it to be the rule in America that if you’re a former president or if you’re running for President, you become a target for criminal prosecution,” said Rubenfeld. Trump was found guilty of allegedly falsifying business records to conceal a second...

President Joe Biden's pier for terrorists in the Gaza Strip is back up and running after breaking apart, drifting north to Israel, sinking and getting stuck on the beach. Biden announced the "humanitarian" pier during his State of the Union address in February. "At approximately 2:15 p.m. (local Gaza time) on June 7, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) successfully reestablished the temporary pier in Gaza, enabling the continued delivery of much-needed humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza. In coming days, CENTCOM will facilitate the movement of vital food and other emergency supplies, in support of the U.S. Agency for International...

Florida, schmorida. After enjoying a pandemic-era boom where many a weary northerner packed up and moved to the Sunshine State, the bloom is off the citrus tree, new research suggests. In 2024, apparently, it’s all about the Carolinas — their coast, their mountains, their more temperate climate and — most importantly — their affordable cost of living, say the moving pros at PODS, who’ve analyzed heaps of customer data to identify the latest trends. If true, that shows a considerable reversal in just one year. In 2023, Florida practically owned the list of most moved-to cities, with six in the...

Ukraine is urgently pressing the US and its allies to free up seats at their F-16 training schools so Kyiv can use the dozens of warplanes gifted by NATO members, Politico reported. But the outlet reported, citing three anonymous sources familiar with the situation, that Ukraine's Western allies cannot train all the pilots Kyiv is asking for. Politico reported on Wednesday that Ukraine is expected to field about 20 F-16 pilots this year and is asking the US if it can train an additional 30. Yet, the F-16 school in Tucson, Arizona, can at most accept only 12 Ukrainian trainees...

According to a recent poll conducted by Emerson College, President Joe Biden has only a seven-point lead over rival and former President Donald Trump in the blue state of New York. Biden is also well under a 50 percent approval rating. Combined with the candidacy of independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr., this potentially makes the state ripe for picking by Trump in this fall’s election. The Empire State has changed over the years since Ronald Reagan won it in 1980 and again in 1984, but not so much that it is a slam dunk for Biden. He will have to...

This particular school compound also sheltered displaced civilians from the refugee camp. The IDF says that from 30-40 Hamas fighters were in three classrooms of the school. The fighters belonged to the notorious and elite Nukhba force who took part in the October 7 massacre in Israel. The army said that...

Rex Heuermann’s kids are “along for the dark ride” and standing by the suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer, according to their lawyer. Victoria Heuermann and Christopher Sheridan remain by their dad’s side even after he was charged with two more murders and prosecutors detailed a sickening “planning document” he allegedly kept on a computer in his Massapequa Park home, lawyer Vess Mitev said. “They continue to bravely face the scrutiny and adversity head-on and they will wait for the legal process to conclude in a courtroom and not in the court of public opinion,” Mitev told The Post on Friday...
