A Lebanese migrant who was caught sneaking over the border admitted he’s a member of Hezbollah, he hoped to make a bomb, and his destination was New York, The Post can reveal. Basel Bassel Ebbadi, 22, was caught by the US Border Patrol on March 9 near El Paso, Texas. While in custody, he was asked what he was doing in the US, to which he replied, “I’m going to try to make a bomb,” according to a Border Patrol document exclusively obtained by The Post. But Ebbadi later claimed in an interview that he had been trying to flee...

Per recent polls, former President Trump is garnering more support from traditional Democrat constituencies. One way Dems are desperately trying to cement their cobbled coalition is by fostering race-based jealousy and disillusionment. Their dispiriting message of systemic racism now includes roads, trees, animate dogs, inanimate dogs, cameras, and the great outdoors. Who would’ve known that roads are racist? The Department of Transportation sees everything through the prism of racial equity. It issued the National Roadway Safety Strategy (NRSS), which emphasizes a Safe System approach. The DoT’s strategy “seeks a better understanding of the intersection of equity and roadway safety, and...

In late 2023 and early 2024, the number of FBI arrests and new criminal cases opened on January 6, 2021, accelerated to the point that federal courts in the District of Columbia could no longer support the weight. Reportedly, the Department of Justice (DOJ) has charged and arrested ninety-three persons in the last two months. According to one estimate, at the present pace, there might be 445 new cases on the docket in 2024—more than in 2022 and 2023. In all, the FBI had detained 1,358 persons as of March 6 and the DOJ had filed criminal charges against them...

Fundamentalist Christian churches from the United States are increasingly gaining power and influence in societies and political spheres across Africa. Many of them have been whipping up negative sentiments against LGBTQ+ people and abortion rights. Haley McEwen, a sociologist at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, has examined some of their influential networks. "US Christian right-wing groups have been very active in the US foreign policy since the early 2000s," McEwen told DW. "There are several organizations that have been around since the 1970s — and in the early 2000s they started to increase their influence internationally." ...

Stefan Passantino represented star Jan. 6 witness Cassidy Hutchison before she amended her testimony to include new stories used to fuel the J6 committee narratives. Stefan Passantino, the lawyer who represented Democrats’ Jan. 6 star witness Cassidy Hutchinson in her early interactions with Congress, has been cleared by legal ethics investigators in both Washington, D.C. and Georgia regarding complaints that he engaged in improper conduct in his representation of Hutchinson. In Washington, D.C., allegations of attorney misconduct are reviewed by the Board of Professional Responsibility of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. In Georgia, the practice of law is...

IMAGE: Alex Tabarrok/X Imply ‘only those with a historical tie to the land have a right to belong’ A British museum owned by the University of Cambridge recently “overhauled” its displays with “new signage,” one of which states paintings of the British countryside can conjure up sinister “nationalist feelings.” According to The Telegraph, the Fitzwilliam Museum underwent a “refurbishment” over the last half-decade with “an emphasis on reflecting the ‘evolution of its collection.’” The museum reopened last week with galleries based on themes rather than chronology. A sign for the new “Nature” gallery reads Landscape paintings were also always entangled...

The rule of law is inoperative in the United States. With every passing day, it becomes more obvious that we live under a two-tier justice system. It is not justice, but a form of injustice. Were I of a more entrepreneurial bent, I might go into the statuary business. I would specialize in those statues of “Justice” one sees, or used to see, decorating the façades of courthouses. The old-fashioned, now deprecated models featured a berobed and blindfolded female figure holding aloft a pair of scales. The symbology, now on its way to the graveyard of discarded ideas, was simple but...

Federal courts in blue states seem to be upholding the majority of gun control laws, even after landmark Supreme Court decisions upholding the fundamental right to keep and bear arms. We recently posted about the New York Second Amendment case challenging New York’s concealed carry permit law that requires that a permit applicant prove to a local official that he or she is of “good moral character.” Not only is this an absurd requirement (how exactly are you supposed to prove that you have “good moral character”), but even after doing so, said local official then has complete discretion on...

TUCSON, Arizona - An Arizona migrant shelter that has housed thousands of asylum seekers plans to halt most operations in two weeks when funding from Washington runs out, a problem for towns along the border where officials fear a surge in homelessness and extra costs. Arizona's Pima County, which borders Mexico, has said that at the end of the month its contracts must stop with Tucson's Casa Alitas shelter and services that transport migrants north from the border cities of Nogales, Douglas and Lukeville. Pima County Administrator Jan Lesher said the county cannot afford the roughly $1 million per week...

Apart from Northern Ireland, the United Kingdom executives are entirely non-white.. It’s certainly an interesting phenomenon. Rishi Sunak is serving as the Prime Minister of the UK. Pakistani Muslim settler Humza Yousaf has taken over as the First Minister of Scotland and Vaughan Gething (pictured above), an immigrant from Zambia, will become the First Minister of Wales. Apart from Northern Ireland, the United Kingdom executives are entirely non-white. It’s certainly an interesting phenomenon that reflects a rate of not only demographic, but political change in the UK, that has become more rapid than the rest of Europe. Part of it...

Last month, Senator JD Vance (R-OH) flew to the Munich Security Conference attended by powerful European officials, including Volodymyr Zelensky. During his speech, Senator Vance delivered some tough love to his European audience about the necessity for Europe to take a more significant role in securing itself from external threats. In particular, he touched on Europe’s weakness despite their supposed concern over a Russian confrontation with NATO. It’s very hard,” Vance stated. “The juxtaposition between the idea that Putin poses an existential threat to Europe, compared again against the fact that we’re trying to convince our allies to spend two...

The long-awaited jobs board for the American Climate Corps, promised early in the Biden administration, will open next month, according to details shared exclusively with Grist. The White House plans to officially launch an online platform in April. At first, only a couple of hundred jobs will be posted, but eventually up to 20,000 young people are expected to be hired in the program’s first year. “The American Climate Corps is a story of hope and possibilities,” said Maggie Thomas, a special assistant to the president for climate change. “There’s an incredible demand signal from young people who we see...

“Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself” (Philippians 2:3). One important way to prevent factionalism in the church is to regard other members as more important than yourself. “Humility of mind” is a distinctive New Testament expression. There were similar terms in secular writings, but none that exactly fit the purposes of the New Testament writers. One form of the Greek word was used to describe the mentality of a slave. It was a term of derision, signifying anyone who was considered base,...
