But they increasingly have been driving, according to a Chicago Tribune analysis of police data that suggests sharp rises in arrests among migrants for breaking traffic laws. The analysis found many are now being detained in Chicago each week for driving- or vehicle-related infractions, roughly at five times the rate from last summer. “Start where you are. Thirteen years ago, Vladimir Putin went to watch a martial arts tournament and, as he congratulated the winner of one heavyweight bout, the unthinkable happened: a large section of the crowd began booing and jeering their shocked leader. It was the start of a rocky period for the Russian president as his blatantly rigged elections sparked the country's biggest protests since the collapse of the Soviet Union. 'We're not afraid any more,' a man told me at one huge demonstration in Moscow. I heard anti-corruption activist Alexei Navalny warn Putin that 'if the crooks and thieves continue trying to deceive...

A wife has been jailed after a judge deemed the abuse of her husband "the worst case of controlling and coercive behaviour" she had ever seen. Sheree Spencer, 46, would repeatedly threaten to go to the police claiming her innocent husband, Richard Spencer, 47, was abusing her throughout their 20-year marriage. She would even scream for help from their home near York to try to back up her story and trick neighbours into thinking it was true, reports the Mirror. Sheree was only jailed after Richard's friend found nanny cam footage of the abuse and sent it to the cops....

The Los Angeles Police Department has launched a task force to try to crack down on 'burglary tourists' who use the US tourism visa system to commit crimes. Cunning criminals from Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, and Peru target wealthy neighborhoods in places with relaxed criminal justice laws to conduct home burglaries - before returning home with the loot while out on bail. The troubling trend of 'lanzas internacionales' - translated to 'international thieves' - dates back at least two years across America, while the problem has also reared its ugly head in the United Kingdom. Authorities in Los Angeles announced the...

But she is facing calls to fire panelist Ron Daniels after he labelled Scott 'Uncle Tim' and branded him a front man for white supremacy. 'Uncle Tim' Scott, Who Picked Cotton On the...

More and more young people in Germany say they often feel lonely. That poses significant health risks, but researchers say there's also a link between loneliness and anti-democratic attitudes. Loneliness is often described as a silent pandemic in Germany. The latest figures from the Federal Statistical Office indicate that one in six people over the age of 10 often feel lonely — that's around 12.2 million people. Loneliness is defined by psychologists as a perceived discrepancy between desired and actual social relationships, and is different from social isolation. Statistics show that in Germany young people are the worst affected: A...

he Perfect Storm Explained: Drivers Licenses for Illegals + Noncitizen Voting + Mail-in Ballots + Private Funding of Elections + Partisan Hack SOSs Does undocumented immigrant mean illegal alien? If you hesitated before answering yes, you are a victim of progressive doublespeak. Undocumented immigrants are illegal aliens. Noncitizens, whether here legally or illegally, are not allowed to vote in our nation’s elections. It’s a felony for noncitizens to vote, and the U.S. and state constitutions clearly prohibit foreigners from voting. Even so, “The Department of Justice appears to be using taxpayer dollars to have jails and the U.S. Marshals Service...

...Soy is the subject of some of the worst health misinformation on the internet. We need to tune out this misinformation and follow the science. Greater intake of soy foods is linked to a decrease in the risk of breast cancer, prostate cancer, and cardiovascular disease. Soy contains phytoestrogens (“plant estrogens”) called isoflavones which are said to be weak estrogens, but it’s actually more complicated than that. Isoflavones have both estrogenic and anti-estrogenic effects. The evidence suggests that, because of their complex relationship with different estrogen receptors, soy isoflavones have beneficial anti-estrogenic effects in breast tissue while also having beneficial...
