Mutant wolves that roam the human-free Chernobyl Exclusion Zone have developed cancer-resilient genomes that could be key to helping humans fight the deadly disease, according to a study. The wild animals have managed to adapt and survive the high levels of radiation that have plagued the area after a nuclear reactor at the Chernobyl power plant exploded in 1986, becoming the world’s worst nuclear accident. Humans abandoned the area after the explosion leaked cancer-causing radiation into the environment, and a 1,000-square-mile zone was roped off to prevent further human exposure. But in the nearly 38 years since the nuclear disaster,...

Joe Biden may have missed an opportunity to potentially end the horrific conflict between Ukraine and Russia by outright dismissing one of the combatant’s peace proposals. If true, this would mark yet another catastrophic foreign policy failure. Reuters reported Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin signaled to Washington in 2023 in public and privately through intermediaries that he was ready to open to a ceasefire in Ukraine. Putin’s proposal was to freeze the war along current lines, which includes territory gained by Russia. Sources told Reuters that this approach from Putin offered what some Kremlin figures saw as the best...

In 2022, nearly 74,000 people nationwide died from a fentanyl overdose. Fentanyl claimed the lives of nearly 100 people in the Fresno metro area. Unfortunately, it is something most of us don’t think about and don’t want to talk about until it’s taken the life of someone we love. “Grief. I’m going to grieve the rest of my life because that’s my son,” said Fresno State Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach Vonn Webb. On May 11, 2022, Coach Webb got the call all parents feared most. “When they called me and told me that they had found him I was so...

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) on Tuesday told PunchBowl News’ Jake Sherman that he will not put the Senate aid bill on the House floor. Last week Republican Senators voted against advancing a compromised ‘border security bill’ that would have allocated more money to foreign countries while largely ignoring the US border. The Senate’s $118.28 billion national security supplemental package allocated $60 billion in military aid to Ukraine. Only $20.23 billion was allocated to secure the US border amid an unprecedented invasion of military-age males from Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and China. After this bill failed to pass...

A raging inferno erupted at a new water park in Sweden on Monday, with flames decimating a number of under-construction outdoor waterslides and related facilities, authorities said. The massive blaze ripped through several yet-to-be-opened waterslides, including one with a drop of 43 feet, at the Oceana waterpark in Goteberg — sending plumes of black smoke over Sweden’s second-largest city. Harrowing footage shot by witnesses showed the slides, which had been scheduled to open in the coming months, engulfed by flames as several firefighting vehicles descended on the area. At least three explosions sent debris from nearby buildings scattering over the...

NEW YORK, NY — Officials with the United Nations are condemning the Israeli attack on Rafah to rescue two hostages, warning that such attacks could lead to even more hostages being rescued. "These atrocious and inhumane rescue missions cannot be allowed to continue," said Palestinian Ambassador Riyad Mansour. "With every flagrant incursion into Gaza to rescue hostages, Israel violates our human right to kidnap, rape, torture, and imprison Jews, who I might add are being treated very well by our noble Hamas freedom fighters." Experts further warned that if Israel continues to rescue hostages, Gaza will lose all the leverage...

When arguing against a given minimum wage (e.g., $15/hour), late radio giant Rush Limbaugh would sometimes rhetorically ask: Why stop there? If that amount is good, wouldn’t a $50 minimum wage be even better? It’s unknown whether Limbaugh would’ve even suspected that a statist would make his “illustrating absurdity by being absurd” example a serious proposal within 10 years, but here we are: Representative Barbara Lee (D-Calif.), who’s running for the Golden State’s open Senate seat, made this very proposal in a Monday night debate with her rivals. “Just do the math!” she exclaimed, alluding to the supposed self-evident legitimacy...

GOP representative Tom Tiffany (R-WI) spoke to The Gateway Pundit on Monday to discuss his experience at an illegal alien compound, where employees called law enforcement on him in Tucson, Arizona. More than 11 million illegals have been let into our country, transported, clothed, and housed at the expense of American citizens on Joe Biden’s watch. One Border Patrol agent at the Lukeville, Arizona border port of entry told The Gateway Pundit that illegals from all over the world turn themselves in at the ports of entry because they know they’ll be given a free pass on Biden’s invitation despite...

"But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. The owner of a truck awoke to find another man inside the vehicle, having broken in, Gonzalez said, and the owner opened fire with an AR-15. Where are the “success anecdotes” where all-cause mortality dramatically fell in a US geriatric practice after the COVID shots rolled out???All I can find are anecdotes, like that from Deanna Kline, an RN with 35 years of experience who wrote a top-rated book on Amazon about what she observed in the large geriatric practice she works at (thousands of elderly patients). In her practice, they’d regularly see 8 to 10 deaths a year up to and including 2020.In 2022, they saw 36 deaths. In 2023, they saw 48 deaths. They’ve never seen anything like it.The 2022 number chance of happening by chance...
