The owner of a Los Angeles-based construction and electrical company had a reality check after realizing that voting for Democrats had destroyed his business. Ryan Baggaley, the owner of Delta Construction and Electric Co., said a group of at least ten thieves broke into his business on Wednesday morning and blasted L.A. Mayor Karen Bass, California Governor Gavin Newsom, and President Joe Biden for failing to protect his business. “This whole strip has been broken into, our neighbors have been broken into four times, these guys just got broken into two months ago,” Baggaley said. “What are we supposed to...

General Motors will lay off about 1,300 workers from two of its Michigan plants, according to WARN notices the company has filed with state regulators. The job cuts at GM’s Orion Assembly and Lansing Grand River Assembly, which will take place in the new year, come after the automaker said in October that it would be delaying electric pickup truck production into 2025. The layoffs at GM’s Orion plant will affect 945 employees, while 369 employees will be cut from the Lansing assembly plant. The Orion plant produced the Chevrolet Bolt EV and Bolt EUV crossover, and GM is planning...

The layoffs, which mostly hit commercial operations and related corporate functions, comes one day after the robotaxi subsidiary dismissed nine “key leaders.” The moves are fallout from the company’s response to the Oct. 2 incident in which a pedestrian was dragged 20 feet by a Cruise self-driving car after being hit by another vehicle. Since the incident, the company has suspended all trips on public roads and halted production of a new robotaxi, among other moves. ... General Motors’ Cruise on Thursday announced internally that it will lay off 900 employees, or 24% of its workforce ... The layoffs, which...

During Thursday’s broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley (R-SC), a candidate for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, said the United States should consider a “retreat” from some of the so-called globalist organization that it is a part of, including the World Health Organization and the United Nations. “I would like to see America — and I know you were the U.N. ambassador — I don’t trust these globalist organizations anymore,” host Sean Hannity said. “Historically, they have been anti-American and they have been antisemitic. I talked to you about this. I don’t trust the...

Scout Snipers have a mantra. I learned that mantra years ago when I was assigned to lead a platoon of these Marines. My chief scout in the platoon, a title held by the most experienced Scout Sniper, was Damon. When we met in 2012 on Camp Lejeune, Damon was in his late twenties. His guys were at-home in the woods and with a load on their backs; they rarely complained about being dirty, tired or uncomfortable. I learned quickly that Scout Snipers were the best in the battalion, regular infantrymen who had started out carrying an assault rifle or lobbing...

"'Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, Thy God, hath anointed Thee with the oil of gladness above Thy companions'" (Heb. 1:8-9). As the eternal God and King, Christ loves righteousness and hates lawlessness. In these days it's difficult for us as Christians to be totally supportive of our governmental leaders when we see so much of what God calls righteous compromised or ridiculed. But the King of kings—Christ Himself—is the only leader who has a perfectly right attitude toward...

The mother of a 6-year-old who shot his teacher in Virginia is expected to be sentenced Friday for felony child neglect, nearly a year after her son used her gun to critically wound the educator. Deja Taylor faces up to five years behind bars, but as part of a plea deal, prosecutors said they will recommend a six-month sentence that falls within state guidelines. A judge will ultimately decide Taylor’s punishment at court hearing scheduled for 1 p.m.

The answer to the question in our headline is: All the way to full tyranny. Don’t think so? Take a look at where the warming alarmists have already gone. Carbon passports are catching among the climate clergy. “Personal carbon allowances could help curb carbon emissions and lower travel’s overall footprint. These allowances will manifest as passports that force people to ration their carbon in line with the global carbon budget,” says a report from a small group adventure travel company. “By 2040, we can expect to see limitations imposed on the amount of travel that is permitted each year.” CNN...

The Las Vegas teenagers accused of beating 17-year-old Jonathan Lewis to death in an alley near their high school claimed self-defense, saying the boy threw the first punch at a court hearing Thursday. Four of the nine teens charged with Lewis’ murder appeared before Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Nadia Woods but did not receive bail as expected, with Woods instead saying she’d issue a written order on bond for each defendant next week, local CBS affiliate station KLAS reported. The four teens — Damien Hernandez, 17; Gianni Robinson, 17; Dontral Beaver, 16; and Treavion Randolph, 16 — appeared in...

A columnist covering K-12 education, I come to you, dear reader, with a warning: There’s a coming wave of college-freshman failure that will stress the institutions and systems of our universities. Grade schools haven’t and likely won’t recover from pandemic-era learning losses, and so, ready or not, a poorly educated generation is soon to flood your campuses. We’ve all read the statistics. Students lost out on months’ worth of education, obliterating two decades’ worth of academic improvements. What’s more, we’re experiencing something of a “long Covid” in education. According to the testing company NWEA, students aren’t just not catching up....

IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler were not able to confirm to congress the supposed loans Joe Biden sent his family members after his vice presidency concluded. Both IRS agents testified Dec. 5 in front of the House Ways and Means Committee and neither could “verify” the existence of loans between Joe Biden and his family members when he was out of office, according to a newly released transcript of the whistleblower testimony. FULL TESTIMONY TRANSCRIPT: SCRIBD PDF AT LINK...................... “So Joe Biden is being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for, quote, ‘repayments’ to him of loans that...

It’s the question that must always be front and center in your mind when you read anything generated by advocates of energy transition as a supposed solution to “climate change”: Is this just rank incompetence, or is it intentional fraud? (The third possibility — reasonable, good faith advocacy — can generally be ruled out in the first few nanoseconds.). As between the options that the advocate is completely incompetent or an intentional fraudster, I suppose it would be better to be merely incompetent. However, often the misdirection is so blatant that it borders on impossible to believe that the author...

Pray For The Peace of JerusalemActs 24Paul’s Trial Before Felix 24 Five days later the high priest Ananias went down to Caesarea with some of the elders and a lawyer named Tertullus, and they brought their charges against Paul before the governor. 2 When Paul was called in, Tertullus presented his case before Felix: “We have enjoyed a long period of peace under you, and your foresight has brought about reforms in this nation. 3 Everywhere and in every way, most excellent Felix, we acknowledge this with profound gratitude. 4 But in order not to weary you further, I would...

Minnesota comedian Tou Ger Xiong posted pictures with his Colombian girlfriends, including a sexy redhead, before police say he was lured by a femme fatale, kidnapped and murdered this week. Xiong, a well-known activist in the Twin Cities Hmong community, was seen smiling with an unnamed redhead while dining at a Korean restaurant located in Medellin on Oct. 20. “This is Korean food, with my girl,” the 50-year-old said in a video posted on his Facebook, showing his bowl of beef soup before panning to the smiling redhead with a distinctive tattoo reading ‘Never Give Up’ on her neck sitting...

Long before the latest charges against Hunter Biden, the Biden name had become for many a literal punchline. Each passing week brings more and more Democrats or left-leaning journalists openly bemoaning that President Joe Biden will be their nominee for 2024. Left-leaning editor and Biden fan Harold Meyerson has a piece out titled “Are Democrats Sleepwalking to Disaster?” The main premise is that “Biden is the candidate least able to defeat Donald Trump” and that “other Democrats need to enter the race.” That concern is added to those from others who are worried about the president’s advanced age or his...

The New York City Fire Department was forced to save people from elevators across the city and commuters were trapped on the subway after a fault at a Con Edison plant in Brooklyn caused power outages. Black smoke was seen coming from the power facility in Brooklyn at 11.55pm on Thursday night and a momentary power outage followed with lights flickering for a few seconds. It plunged the city into chaos temporarily with multiple reports of people trapped in elevators and stuck on the subway for up to 20 minutes. Some motorists also reported blinking traffic lights. Alarming footage showed...
