A total of 4 million tuned in to see the bickering among four candidates hoping to blow past frontrunner Donald Trump, according to data released by NewsNation, which broadcast the debate from Alabama. That includes 1.6 million who watched it on the growing NewsNation network and 2.5 million who tuned into CW stations who carried the simulcast. It was a record for NewsNation and the biggest audience since 2018 for CW.

An FBI raid on private safe deposit boxes has triggered a significant legal battle over civil asset forfeiture and the lengths to which federal authorities can use the practice, which has often been referred to as “Policing for Profit.”The outcome of the court proceedings could turn this into a landmark case that helps to further define the parameters in which federal law enforcement can use the controversial procedure.FBI agents cataloged Cartier bracelets, Rolex watches and stacks of cash as they combed through safe deposit boxes seized from a Beverly Hills business accused of money laundering. But the owners of many...

Donald Trump and former Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney have been engaged in a war of words over her new memoir, in which she criticizes the former president and other Republicans. Among Cheney's claims is that then-House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said Trump became depressed and stopped eating after he lost the 2020 election to Joe Biden, which Trump has denied. Trump has since hit back in a series of messages including one that said she lost her Congressional seat by the largest margin in history. A post by Donald Trump on Truth Social on Wednesday, December 6, stated that Liz...

Around the world, nations are creating incentives to get citizens to have more children, but their strategies don’t appear to be working. Vox claims, “You can’t even pay people to have more kids.” But are people choosing not to have children because they don’t want them, or do they not want what they’ve been conditioned to believe children are? Vox reports that Taiwan has spent more than $3 billion trying to convince its citizens to have more children. That includes the addition of six months of paid parental leave reimbursed at 80% of the parent’s salary, as well as a...

(Via Twitter/X) It's the feel-good video of the season, as one fed-up Gaza woman dares to tell a so-called journalist the truth he doesn't want to admit. For ordinary Gazans, the war their Hamas government started has made life difficult at best. "The situation is difficult, the aid is not coming," a reporter explains to a woman who might have limited access to food and water — but that old gal is having none of his excuses. "All aid goes underground," she replies, referring to the spiderweb of underground tunnels that house Hamas and their rocket factories. "The aid does...

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Hezbollah not to initiate a third Lebanon war with Israel, hours after the Iranian proxy group guided missile attack killed a 60-year-old Israeli man in northern Israel. “If Hezbollah chooses to start an all-out war, then it will single-handedly turn Beirut and South Lebanon, not far from here, into Gaza and Khan Yunis. We are determined to bring victory, and we will do it with your help,” Netanyahu said. He spoke during a visit to the IDF’s Northern Command Headquarters together with Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and IDF Chief-of-Staff Lt.-Gen. Herzi Halevi and the head...

A Wisconsin judge has ruled that an 1849 law does not actually protect preborn children from abortion, setting up a potential challenge in the state Supreme Court. Dane County Circuit Judge Diane Schlipper ruled that the 174-year-old law applies to feticide (an act of homicide against a fetus committed by someone other than the child’s mother), but not abortion (initiated by the child’s mother). The statute is worded: Any person, other than the mother, who intentionally destroys the life of an unborn child is guilty of a Class H felony. Yet Schlipper said that this wording referred to someone attacking...

Several presidential hopefuls had a fourth presidential debate last night at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. The debate was held on a site, NewsNation, which, despite hiring a high-profile newscaster like Megyn Kelly, many people hadn't heard of before the night. Notably absent for the fourth consecutive debate was former president Donald Trump. He's not wasting time on these debates, so why should everyone else? The Republican primary field keeps pretending that Trump isn't there. Perhaps they're hoping Trump will fall from one of the indictments in the Biden administration's unprecedented harassment of their political opposition, cynically waiting in...

Every election cycle, Republicans dutifully recite platitudes about winning "the youth vote" and bringing younger voters into the GOP fold. And in every election, Republicans fail to deliver on that. Part of the problem is that young voters tend to live in the here and now — they want their student loans forgiven, they want cheaper homes, they want everything handed to them on a silver platter, even as they vote for Democrats who have caused most of the problems they're complaining about. (Note: That by no means includes all young voters. Many of them are bright, well-informed, and understand...

A Texas judge has ruled a baby can be killed in an abortion just because the baby is disabled. Katie Cox is suing Texas , saying she is seeking an emergency exception in the state’s law protecting babies from abortions for a pregnancy that is destined to end in the death of the baby. The lawsuit claims the baby has Trisomy 18, which is not proven because prenatal tests often fail. “It is not a matter of if I will have to say goodbye, but when,” she said in the lawsuit. “I do not want to continue the pain and...

“I would say I’m your pretty average healthy 23-year-old,” she said, adding that she works out and eats well. “I’m on my feet 12, 13 hours a day at work, so I want to make sure that I’m in shape for that.” “One checked her carotid, one her femoral (arteries), and she did not have a pulse,” instructor Lisa Davenport said, adding that the nurses began CPR and issued a dreaded “code blue” for an emergency team. “What was really stressful about the situation was that we never had a real code blue in the center. We train for them...

The taxpayer-supported PBS News Weekend show on Saturday provided some helpful PR for the abortion megaplex Planned Parenthood. It’s been a favorite source for pro-abortion alarmist takes ever since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June 2022. As usual with PBS, there are no voices raised to celebrate saving infant lives, but a single-minded focus on the lost opportunities to abort, with the hardest cases presented as commonplace. Host John Yang portrayed good news for life as bad news in the over-seven-minute-long segment: Yang: While the number of legal abortions has gone up nationwide since the Supreme Court...

A cemetery just outside Trinidad, Colorado is calling for a state investigation into improper burials after allegations that the Las Animas County Coroner buried multiple bodies on top of each other in a single grave. Several bodies were discovered at the Starkville cemetery in Las Anima County. That's just south of Trinidad. Earlier this year, a woman from Oklahoma found out her long-lost father was buried here in Trinidad and she wanted to exhume his body and take it back home. The only problem is they found another unknown body in the grave with him. According to public records obtained...

You cannot call yourself a Christian and support abortion. The American Life League has a Charity Watchlist that catalogs organizations who support the innocent murder of the unborn. Shockingly, that list presently has numerous “religious” related charities that admit to support abortion. Among the organizations listed who support abortion are: Catholic Relief Services, Salvation Army which aims to “preach the gospel of Jesus Christ” and the YMCA and YMCA which work “to put Christian principles into practice.” Though those organizations have missions that claim to aim to further the Gospel, other, non-religious organizations also support abortion. Here's a list of...

Diamond is a promising material for data storage, and now scientists have demonstrated a new way to cram even more data onto it, down to a single atom. The technique bypasses a physical limit by writing data to the same spots in different-colored light. Diamond has great potential as a data storage medium – recent developments have produced 2-inch (5-cm) wafers of the stuff that can store the equivalent of a billion Blu-Ray discs. Intriguingly, it works not by writing data to the diamond itself but to tiny nitrogen defects in the material. These defects can absorb light, earning them...

After 9/11, leftist journalists passionately exposed the New York City Police Department doing surveillance of mosques to try and prevent violent Muslim extremism. By contrast, they largely yawned when it was leaked in February that the FBI’s office in Richmond, Virginia discussed surveilling local Catholic churches to root out potential violent extremism from the “radical Catholics.” The Biden administration loves the narrative that white conservatives and “Christian nationalists” are the biggest domestic terrorism threat. The FBI’s Richmond office wrote an internal memo, titled "Interest of Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists in Radical-Traditionalist Catholic Ideology Almost Certainly Presents New Mitigation...
