FBI Director Chris Wray admitted to Sen. Josh Hawley that he has not fired anyone at the FBI’s Richmond office over the memo urging the FBI to investigate “radical traditional Catholics.” “You haven’t fired anybody,” Hawley, a Missouri Republican, said to Wray in a Senate hearing Tuesday. He pressed Wray on the FBI Richmond office’s Jan. 23 memo citing the Southern Poverty Law Center in urging an investigation of “radical, traditional Catholic hate groups.” After a whistleblower published it in February, the FBI rescinded that memo, saying it did not reach the bureau’s standards. Hawley cited a report that the...

Climate change, he...

WASHINGTON, Dec 5 (Reuters) - Republican U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville, who has blocked hundreds of military promotions for months to protest the Pentagon's payment of abortion-related travel costs, said on Tuesday he would lift his hold on some of them. Shortly afterward, the Senate's Democratic majority leader, Chuck Schumer, took to the Senate floor to confirm hundreds of the stalled promotions. Since there were no objections, they all went through. "While today's confirmations are good news, these holds should never have happened in the first place," Schumer said. The exact number of confirmations was not immediately available.

Sunday night, another horde of young people descended on yet another victim. This time, the target was a Philadelphia falafel shop owned by Israeli Jews. Per the usual modus operandi, a mob arrived at the establishment named "Goldie" and began shouting, “Goldie, Goldie, you can’t hide. We charge you with genocide.” Nothing demonstrates a desire for peace like hundreds of rabid animals surrounding a falafel shop. A mob targeting businesses because they are owned by Jews? It seems to me we've seen this before. According to the New York Post, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro posted in response, “Tonight in Philly,...

Starved Israeli hostages were fed tranquilizers and extra food right before they were freed by Hamas to make them appear calm and happy for the cameras, Israel said Tuesday. An Israeli Health Ministry leader told a Knesset Health Committee that the 110 civilian hostages returned in a swap for Palestinian terror suspects last week were given the Israeli brand of Klonopin “to improve their mood,” according to the Times of Israel. The benzodiazepine-class sedative and muscle relaxant can produce a euphoric feeling, which could explain why at least one hostage went viral for her supposed “look of love” toward a...

f Donald Trump returns to the presidency and tries to halt or drastically reduce U.S. military, economic and humanitarian support to Ukraine — as he has indicated he would — Ukraine would not be the only country to suffer. Russia’s likely resulting gains in the conflict would further destabilize Europe and undermine U.S. credibility worldwide. Work must be done before the 2024 election to put Ukraine in the best possible position to endure whatever a newly elected Trump might do. The Biden White House is already warning Congress that if it doesn’t authorize more Ukraine aid soon, the spigot will...
