The Democratic Party is divided over pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian factions in a major split that may tear the party apart for a "generation," according to a recent Wall Street Journal report. Some of the biggest names in progressive and leftist politics are expressing concerns that the Democratic Party is no longer unified as politicians and commentators continue to battle it out in the public square over Israel. The article, headlined "The Left Is Tearing Itself Apart Over Israel," was published on Tuesday. "It has been an incredibly clarifying and terrifying moment at the same time for many progressive Jews," Anti-Defamation...

Mayor Eric Adams has blamed the rise in prostitution in Corona, Queens, on an influx of female Venezuelan migrants who are struggling to find other work. The Democrat said Tuesday that “illegal” activity is taking place in the area and that it is just “one example” of how the nation’s migrant crisis is affecting the city. It is unclear whether these Venezuelan migrants are being sex-trafficked to perform these acts or if they are soliciting sex of their own free will. But, speaking to reporters Tuesday, Adams said: “This is what happens when you create an atmosphere that people can’t...

CNN commentator Adam Kinzinger said Wednesday on ABC’s “The View” that former President Donald Trump is like a toddler who can not control his emotions and therefore should not be president. Co-host Sunny Hostin said, “Over the weekend a federal judge reinstated a gag order imposed on former President Trump. In the Washington case he was accused of trying to overturn his 2020 election defeat, loss, which he, of course, denies, yes, he got crushed. Do you think he will be able to keep his mouth shut?” Kinzinger said, “No.”

Gay and transgender people—both in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank—face an extraordinary level of persecution. The Israel-Hamas war has made political allies out of some unusual bedfellows. Yet the strangest pairing on display thus far is probably "Queers for Palestine," most notably because those protesters would risk summary execution should they take their demonstration to the Gaza Strip. The movement isn't new. But following the terrorist attacks launched against Israel by Hamas, the Palestinian group that controls Gaza, it has seen a sort of reemergence at various protests. "Queer rights! Trans rights!" protesters are heard chanting in a video...

The book blames foreign subversives for ideas long rooted in American life.Prequel: An American Fight Against Fascism, by Rachel Maddow, Crown, 416 pages, $32"American democracy itself was under attack from enemies within and without," Rachel Maddow writes in Prequel: An American Fight Against Fascism. If you're not sure whether she is speaking of the past or the present, that's because she wants to conflate the two. Prequel is a deeply flawed and deceptively framed history of right-wing radicalism in the United States on the eve of American entry into World War II. Maddow's treatment of this well-worn topic draws principally...

Criticism of the state’s "yellow flag" statute is doubly misguided.Five months before an Army Reserve sergeant killed 18 people at a bowling alley and a bar in Lewiston, Maine, his relatives told police he was increasingly paranoid, erroneously complaining that people were describing him as a pedophile. Two months later, he underwent a psychiatric evaluation after service members who were training with him at West Point reported that he was behaving erratically, and last month he told a friend he was "going to shoot up the drill center" at his base in Saco, Maine. The fact that the 40-year-old petroleum...

WASHINGTON — The White House’s go-to Republican critic of the impeachment inquiry into President Biden is considering leaving Congress for a new job — and expressed interest in being an on-air commentator for CNN, The Post has learned. Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.), a five-term fiscal hawk, has surprised fellow conservatives by repeatedly criticizing the probe launched last week into Biden’s alleged corruption, including with a Sept. 15 Washington Post op-ed that other Republicans said included glaring inaccuracies. Buck said privately last month that he was interested in a job at CNN, a source told The Post, after he weighed other...

Quick: somebody call the Woke Speech Police! When's the last time you heard Joe Scarborough—or any liberal-media type—speak of "illegal immigrants?" Scarborough surely knows that the approved woke terms are "migrants" or "undocumented persons." But so desperate is Scarborough to trash and scaremonger Speaker Mike Johnson's legislative proposal to fund Israel without a laundry list of other spending items, that on today's Morning Joe, he was willing to violate the woke speech code. Scarborough claimed that Johnson's proposal would appeal to "illegal immigrants," in addition to a host of other reprobates: "anti-Semites, tax-cheat billionaires, and Vladimir Putin!" Get the rest...

From the government website: Mission: USCENTCOM directs and enables military operations and activities with allies and partners to increase regional security and stability in support of enduring U.S. interests. Command Priorities: 1. Deter Iran 2. Counter Violent Extremist Organizations 3. Compete Strategically - Regional Constructs - Integrated Air and Missile Defense/ Counter Unmanned Aerial systems All those things sound relevant given the disasters that are dominating the news and the globe. The area that...

Republican Rep. Ken Buck (CO) broke from his GOP colleagues on the House Judiciary Committee and thanked FBI Director Christopher Wray for his service on Wednesday, then spoke with CNN and claimed Wray is “doing his very best.” House Republicans on the Judiciary Committee grilled Wray at a Wednesday hearing over issues related to alleged civil liberties violations by the government. For example, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) pressed Wray for answers on the agency’s involvement with investigations into Hunter Biden. However, Buck used his allotted time to praise Wray and the FBI. Buck recognized that Wray was appointed assistant attorney...

The biggest problem confronting Israel in its war on Hamas is how to destroy the Gaza tunnel networks and the terrorist operations therein. Bombing works—mostly—but there’s a better way. Not only would it dramatically reduce Israeli military and Gazan civilian casualties, but it would effectively destroy the tunnel systems for the long term. That solution is to flood the tunnels with seawater from the adjacent Mediterranean. I worked on the Gaza Strip back in the 1990s. The U.S. government was pouring tens of millions of tax dollars into development assistance there on engineering infrastructure, housing, and related projects. Part of...

Hundreds of people on the FBI’s terrorist watchlist have almost certainly slipped into the United States amid millions of other illegal immigrants during the last three years, according to former federal officials and experts. “You have to be extremely naïve to not be significantly concerned about this,” said Rodney Scott, former chief of U.S. Border Patrol from 2020 to 2021. “Regardless of what the Biden administration may claim, what it said during the campaign and the executive orders taken in January 2021 have been interpreted around the world as the border is open. You’re insane if you don’t think terrorists...

Fewer than 1 in 10 Iowans believe the Florida Governor is the best bet to deal with the current threat. Gov. Ron DeSantis has messaged heavily around the state response in the weeks since Hamas attacked Israeli citizens. But new polling from a key early state in the presidential race suggests that message may be hitting deaf ears. The Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom Iowa Poll conducted from Oct. 22 to Oct. 26 shows that just 9% of likely Hawkeye State caucus participants believe the Florida Governor is the best bet in the GOP field to address the situation in the...

ROCKFORD, IL — After tragedy struck a local family last night, local dad Jordan Duckworth bore the unenviable task of notifying his children that a burglar had broken into their home and stolen all of the Reese's peanut butter cups they had received while trick-or-treating. "I'm sorry, kids. Our house was robbed last night," Mr. Duckworth said sadly after gathering his kids in the kitchen this morning. "Fortunately, the thief didn't take your mother's jewelry, our television, or the bar of pure gold we keep on the coffee table for some reason. Kids, I'm afraid he only took…your Reese's peanut...
