My dearest friends, as much as I do not want to accept certain things, this one is critical to accept. Jim Jordan has shown over time that he is simply a purposefully placed “anger manager” on behalf of the Professionally Republican wing of the administrative state.Perhaps we lost him before the 2020 election, when the “six ways to Sunday” group fired a shot across his bow with the issues about “widespread sexual abuse in OSU’s wrestling program.” The timing seems to fit with the overall dynamic and how the intelligence apparatus operates. Regardless of whether that was the inflection point,...

The new policy is trying to promote inclusion and to respect the privacy of all participants on a team. It...

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis brought in $15 million in fundraising over the past three months for his Republican presidential campaign. The DeSantis campaign also confirmed to Fox News that it is moving staff from Florida to Iowa, where the Jan. 15 caucuses lead off the GOP presidential nominating calendar. "This significant fundraising haul not only provides us with the resources we need in the fight for Iowa and beyond, but it also shuts down the doubters who counted out Ron DeSantis for far too long," campaign manager James Uthmeier said in a statement. But the $15 million haul over the...

NATO is "actively addressing" multiple IT security incidents after a hacktivist group claimed it once again breached some of the military alliance's websites, this time stealing what's claimed to be more than 3,000 files and 9GB of data. When asked about this alleged intrusion, a NATO official declined to answer specific questions and told The Register: NATO is facing persistent cyber threats and takes cyber security seriously. NATO cyber experts are actively addressing incidents affecting some unclassified NATO websites. Additional cyber security measures have been put in place. There has been no impact on NATO missions, operations and military deployments....

Republican U.S. Sen Lindsey Graham has something in common with President Joe Biden: increasing unpopularity among South Carolinians, according to a new poll. When asked how satisfied they were with the way Graham and Biden are handling their jobs in Washington, 30% of South Carolina voters polled say they approve Graham’s performance, compared to 29% for Biden, according to the latest Winthrop University Poll. Since Winthrop’s last poll in May, Graham’s and Biden’s approval ratings have dipped by 2% and 1%, respectively. “Graham’s approval ratings overall are nearly as bad as those for President Biden,” said the poll’s director, Scott...

There are multiple moments in Jimi Hendrix’s short but eventful career that are hailed as iconic: his rendition of the Star Spangled Banner at Woodstock, setting his Fender Stratocaster alight at Monterey Pop, blowing Eric Clapton away during his Cream guest spot. However, ask the Hendrix cognoscenti and they’ll tell you that – from a playing point of view – it’s hard to top his extended version of Machine Gun, recorded live with Band of Gypsys at the Fillmore East on January 1, 1970.Now, through a quirk of the internet, a fully colorised clip of the 12-minute performance has surfaced on...

EXCLUSIVE: Former President Donald Trump's campaign took aim at President Biden late Wednesday after his administration admitted there was an "immediate need" for a wall at the U.S. border with Mexico. "President Trump is always right. That’s why he built close to 500 miles of powerful new wall on the border, and it would have been finished by now. Instead, Crooked Joe Biden turned our country into one giant sanctuary for dangerous criminal aliens," a Trump campaign spokesperson told Fox News Digital. DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas cited an "acute and immediate need" to waive dozens of federal laws in order...

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is citing an "acute and immediate need" to waive dozens of federal laws in order to build a border wall in south Texas where illegal migration has surged, a sharp contrast to dismissals of the use of such barriers in the early days of the administration. The agency posted an announcement on the U.S. Federal Registry which outlines construction in Starr County in the Rio Grande Valley Sector -- where the administration says there is "high illegal entry." The agency says there have been over 245,000 migrant encounters in the sector this fiscal year. Mayorkas says...

Is there any ceiling, or floor, to what the CFPB can decide to spend?.. The Supreme Court on Tuesday heard oral arguments in a challenge to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s novel self-funding scheme (CFPB v. Community Financial Services Assn.) A telling moment came when Justice Neil Gorsuch pressed the Solicitor General on the limits to the agency’s appropriations power. Democrats insulated the CFPB from political accountability in the Dodd-Frank Act by letting it obtain its funding from the Federal Reserve, unlike any other federal agency. Payday lenders say this violates the Constitution’s command that “no Money shall be drawn...
