The Pentagon's vaccine mandate is no longer in effect, but its repercussions continue to be felt. Of the over 8,000 service members discharged for refusing the shot, only 43 have rejoined over the past eight months.

While around 1,200 secured exemptions, Defense Department records indicate that 3,717 Marines, 1,816 soldiers, and 2,064 sailors were discharged for refusing the vaccine, reported Reuters. Further, 834 Air Force/Space Force service members were apparently also discharged.

CNN reported that, according to data provided by the military branches, since January, only 19 soldiers have rejoined the Army and 12 have rejoined the Marines. As for the Air Force and Navy, only one and two have returned, respectively.

Smart move not to rejoin the military at this time in history.
For the vast majority of military discharged over the vax, the bond of trust and respect was broken beyond repair when the discharges were allowed to be so ruthlessly enforced.
It appears that most of these disillusioned citizens have found other lucrative ways to pay the bills, and are not looking back. Their lack of regard for the military will be reflected in many of their offspring, perhaps for the next two generations at very least.
The damage the policy did to future recruitment will cost many times the 8;000 soldiers. Never should have used the military to wage a political/cultural battle.

No wonder we’re in such an unprepared state of readiness if only 8,000 were committed enough to reject the clot shot.
And many of those remaining are undoubtedly suffering adverse effects, or soon may be.
The sad thing is, it won’t even prevent covid.

The administration is likely fine with them not re-joining, because the federal mandate was part of a political purge in the military as they’re beefing up their liberal military brass. They did the same thing in the fBI as well with the rank and file.

Those almost 8000 are now targets and are on their own Jan 6th type list.
no, I respect our veterans and thank them for their service. I just wish they were never placed in a position being mandated to receive an experimental injection.
And with what milley has done to service personel has only seemed to have further destroyed the state of readiness.
