By now you have likely heard of a trending question in social media: women and girls are encouraged to ask the men in their lives how often they think of ancient Rome, with the expectation that they will be surprised to find that the answer is “frequently” or even “daily.” Speaking for myself, I have never kept tabs on how often I think of particular subjects, or of exactly which subjects I think of during a given day. I doubt if many people do. Certainly daily, or at least, almost daily, we all think of our work, our friends, our...

Alarm! US 10-year Treasury yields are soaring along with mortgage rates. The US Treasury market is witnessing another significant selloff, pushing the 10y UST yield close to the 4.50% mark. The surge in real rates is remarkable, reaching 2.12% for the 10y, a level not seen since 08’. While this might appear attractive in real terms compared to historical benchmarks, could we be on the brink of a third consecutive year of negative performance for US Treasuries? To put this into perspective, such a scenario has never occurred in history. The conforming mortgage rate is at 7.3%, up 156% under...

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg on Sunday warned of airline disruptions if Congress is unable to pass funding bills or come to a short-term resolution before Friday, which would trigger a government shutdown. “A shutdown would include, just in the transportation side alone, shutting down air traffic control training at the exact moment when the country recognizes the need for more, not less air traffic control staffing and when we have finally got cancellations back at or below normal rates,” Buttigieg said on CNN’s “State of The Union.”

Partial transcript as follows: MARGARET BRENNAN: I want to ask you about some democratic politics. You were outspoken about George Santos, the New York congressman and said he should resign because of all the legal issues and ethical issues he was facing. Senator Bob Menendez of New Jersey, as you know, has just been indicted on bribery charges. Should he resign? And what do you think of his statement that it has to...

LOCKHART — Michael Cargill’s commands cut through the air sharply as his license-to-carry students train to shoot at Lone Star Gun Range in Lockhart.“One shot. One shot.”The students load one bullet into their handguns, some brought from home, others rented from Cargill’s gun shop, Central Texas Gun Works. He reminds them to make sure their right thumb is atop their left on the gun, to keep their stances wide and to lean forward.“Fire! Fire! Fire!”If their stances are uneven, if their thumbs are not aligned, Cargill pauses to adjust each student’s positioning. This is the purpose of Cargill’s license-to-carry class:...

There’s always been an internal debate when thinking about President Joe Biden – you have to wonder whether he does or says something because he’s a liar or because he’s genuinely stupid. This extends back to when he was a Senator, too. Now you have to add a third option: senile. It’s tough to tell if he walks off stage with other world leaders without shaking their hands because he’s an aloof ass who looks down his nose at others or because he’s unaware of where he is. There’s no real way to know, but it’s probably safest to bet...

Russia’s foreign minister has told the UN that Ukraine’s proposed peace plan and the latest proposals to revive the Black Sea grain initiative were “not realistic”. Sergei Lavrov spoke at a press conference on 23 September after a week of intense global diplomacy at the annual gathering of world leaders at UN headquarters in New York where Ukraine and its western allies sought to drum up support for Kyiv. “It is completely not feasible,” Lavrov said of a 10-point peace blueprint promoted by Kyiv. “It is not possible to implement this. It’s not realistic and everybody understands this but, at...

1 Peter 2:24-Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. For you to not waste Jesus sacrifice you first have to know what Jesus did. Notice, it says by his stripes we were healed, it didn't say we will be healed that's how God sees us because of what Jesus did, so what did Jesus do? Isaiah 53:4,5,10 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God,...

VIDEODADA!!! Are you PROUD of your little SONNY BOY now? Watch as Justin Trudeau channels his inner Fidel Castro in a CRAZED speech supporting the continuation of the bloody Ukraine War. He comes across as every bit the authoritarian as his REAL FATHER. Fortunately, as you can see, many Canadians are now reacting against this growing authoritarianism by Castro's son which he also demonstrated by clamping down on freedoms in his insane response the the 2022 Freedom Convoy in which he went so far as to order bank accounts to be frozen of those who dared to disagree with Little...

What's happening in tyranny today? Based on the news, here is a list: Trond Harald Håland is a Norwegian man who was allegedly placed in forced psychiatric treatment for more than a week for criticizing the approved COVID narrative online. Håland’s lawyer, Barbro Paulsen, says that this is likely the “most direct case” in which the Norwegian government detained someone over Facebook posts, while claiming that the country has a history of forcing people into psychiatric treatment for questioning the government. (Sounds like where Canada and the U.S. are headed.) Scott Gerber, an Ohio Northern University (ONU) constitutional law professor...
