When considering the title question, it’s important to point out that we don’t have exact figures for how many gender-bending prisoners have actually been transferred to female facilities. But if you’re talking about Wisconsin, the commonality being observed is that slightly more than half of all prisoners who self-identify as transgender women are behind bars – at least in part – because they were convicted of sex crimes. Our colleague Madeline Leesman at Townhall breaks down the numbers and the trends are beyond disturbing. She analyzed some material assembled by The Heritage Foundation and found that 50.3 percent of “transgender...

California’s electric vehicle push has increased the demand for natural gas. The global warming alarmists never mentioned that. Most consumers still don’t want an electric vehicle. Despite heavy subsidies and mandates, just 6% of new vehicles sold last year were electric. States such as California and Nevada are largely relying on natural gas to produce needed power in the evenings and overnight. In other words, natural gas power plants are often supplying the electricity fueling electric vehicles. Politicians, including Biden, describe global warming in the most apocalyptic terms imaginable to create support for an overhaul of the entire U.S. economy....

Here we go again— the Biden Administration has plans to roll out a new COVID-19 vaccine this fall, requiring Americans to get another jab. Despite declaring earlier this year that COVID is no longer a threat, President Joe Biden said his administration will "likely" recommend that all Americans receive the updated booster, including children. Over the weekend, the president told reporters that he plans to ask Congress for additional funds to develop a new vaccine, adding that he may force everyone to take it whether they previously received the initial vaccine. "Yes, I can," Biden said. "I signed off this...

Three Republican members of the U.S. Congress made a quick trip Sunday into opposition-held northwest Syria in the first known visit to the war-torn country by American lawmakers in six years. They urged the Biden administration and regional partners to keep up the pressure on Syrian President Bashar Assad. The roughly one-hour stop was a signal of the significant support on Capitol Hill for the opposition in Syria’s long civil war.

If I were a climate change fanatic, I wouldn’t stop at anything to cut carbon. This explains a lot about the Department of Energy’s proposed rules on energy efficiency for ceiling fans. Yes, ceiling fans. The DOE announced the exciting news this past week that consumers would save between $28 and $39 over the life of a ceiling fan on energy costs. Meanwhile, Republicans on the Small Business Committee are questioning the wisdom of rules that will save consumers pennies a year but very well might cost thousands of jobs as some small ceiling fan manufacturers are likely to go...

The Kremlin is rushing reinforcements to southern Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia Oblast. It’s a desperate bid to prevent a major Ukrainian breakthrough along a critical axis. The reinforcements are from the 76th Guards Air Assault Division, which is “arguably Russia’s best division and is relatively fresh,” according to Rob Lee, an analyst with the Foreign Policy Research Institute in Philadelphia. The division most recently went on the attack early this year around Kreminna, where the Russians still are sustaining a limited offensive. That the Russians are redeploying the 76th GAAD speaks to the growing momentum of the Ukrainians’ 2023 counteroffensive, which kicked...

Aren't independent counsels supposed to be, you know, independent? Not in the world of Joe Biden.According to the New York Post, they've been all over the White House, apparently to coordinate during the critical moments in the Trump prosecution case. The White House counsel’s office met with a top aide to Special Counsel Jack Smith just weeks before he brought charges against former President Trump for allegedly mishandling classified documents — raising serious concerns about coordinated legal efforts aimed at President Biden’s likely opponent in 2024.Jay Bratt, who joined the special counsel team in November 2022, shortly after it was formed,...
  • Eight Little Voices: Based on what we saw in the first GOP debate, it appears that Trump will be the Republican candidate for president

The first GOP presidential debate was held on August 23 in Milwaukee. Present were eight candidates whose combined polling was less than that of Donald Trump. For two hours, they talked about being the future of the Republican Party: how they would boost the economy, lower inflation, secure the border, and improve education. Trump already did that. And what he's talking about now, in appearances that draw many times the number who attended the first debate, isn't just undoing Biden's mistakes and doing what he did before all over again, but even more. Trump has a vision beyond anything the...

The Taliban has now banned women from a famous, family-filled national park because they are allegedly ditching their hijab once inside. The Vice and Virtue Ministry of the regime that seized power in 2021 and is known for its atrocities and its ever-tightening restrictions on women said that failure to wear an Islamic head scarf was the culprit. The list of things forbidden to women could read like an inverted Dr. Seuss title, “Oh the Places You Can’t Go”: higher education is banned, employment is off the table, beauty salons are closed, working out at a gym is off limits...

The president of the National Support Committee for the National Council for the Safeguarding of the Country (CNSP), Elh Issa Hassoumi Boureima, has asked all partners of French bases in Niger to suspend all water and electricity supplies and food products, said the reports. In addition, any partners who continue to help the French in the process of supplying the goods and services will be considered “enemies of the sovereign people,” the reports added.

Certain gut problems, such as constipation, difficulty swallowing, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), may be early warning signs of the neurological condition Parkinson's disease, suggests research. Gastrointestinal symptoms are thought to precede the development of cerebrovascular disease, such as stroke or a brain aneurysm, or Alzheimer's disease, and it has been suggested (Braak's hypothesis) that gut conditions may precede the development of Parkinson's disease too. …Both analyses indicated that four gut conditions were associated with a higher risk of a Parkinson's disease diagnosis. Specifically, gastroparesis (delayed stomach emptying), dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), and constipation were associated with a more than doubling...

In a case that promises to utterly upend New York politics — and boost the city’s housing market — the Supreme Court may soon strike down the essence of the rent-control laws. *** New York landlord groups asked the court to hear their challenge to the state Rent Stabilization Law, which lets the city cap rent hikes and gives tenants a virtually ironclad right to renew their leases. It’s led to some people renting the same unit for decades — and then passing it to a family member, *** *** In many cases, building “owners” never regain control over those...

If you’re a person of color, you know what I’m talking about. You walk into a new coffee shop and your senses are overwhelmed with whiteness and you get the glare from the Karens. The white hipster barista lines herself up between you and the bathrooms, ready to tell you non-customers aren’t welcome... Well, I’m here to validate your lived experience; coffee is in fact horribly racist, and there’s data to back it up. Every facet of the coffee industry, in fact, is rooted in racism. From the moment the whites viciously stole coffee from Black and Brown People to...

The Florida Department of Education has approved screening videos that deny the Earth’s changing climate to schoolchildren in the state, according to the Guardian. Animations from Prager University Foundation, a conservative group that pushes untruths about sustainable energy and the warming of the planet, will now be a part of the public school curriculum in Florida. What’s happening? On the organization’s website, Prager University Foundation states it is “not an accredited university, nor do we claim to be.” In fact, it is a media platform and advocacy group that was founded by right-wing radio host Dennis Prager. It has produced...

(Washington/London): Vivek Ramaswamy, an Indian-American 2024 US presidential aspirant, has hinted that he may run on a joint ticket with former president Donald Trump as his running mate if he does not win the Republican nomination, according to a media report. The remarks by Ramaswamy came days after the 38-year-old multimillionaire biotech entrepreneur-turned-politician said he was “not interested” in any job other than president. Ramaswamy said he believed he could only “reunite this country” as president, but did not rule out running with 77-year-old Trump as vice president if the former president and frontrunner wins the nomination for a third...
