In a report released Friday by the White House, officials suggested limiting sunlight to rapidly cool the planet, a process known as solar radiation modification (SRM). U.S. Delaware Attorney David Weiss on Friday confirmed his “limited” authority to charge Hunter Biden in the jurisdictions of Washington, DC, and California. IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley told Congress the Department of Justice (DOJ) prevented Weiss from bringing charges against Hunter Biden in Washington, DC, and California. The New York Times independently confirmed Shapley’s statement on Tuesday by reporting the DOJ’s practices demand that Weiss obtain approval and cooperation from the U.S. attorneys in California and Washington, DC, before proceeding with charges in their districts.

Around 18 army families have been living on the site at Wethersfield and Sky News understands the Home Office plans to move asylum seekers in this summer. It is rare for military families to speak out but such is the level of frustration, a member of one of the families living on...

BELIEF 1: HOLY SCRIPTURES The Holy Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are the written Word of God, given by divine inspiration. The inspired authors spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. In this Word, God has committed to humanity the knowledge necessary for salvation. The Holy Scriptures are the supreme, authoritative, and the infallible revelation of His will. They are the standard of character, the test of experience, the definitive revealer of doctrines, and the trustworthy record of God’s acts in history. (Ps. 119:105; Prov. 30:5, 6; Isa. 8:20; John 17:17; 1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Tim....

(CNN) - The state of California is about to give movie and TV studios a new lucrative tax perk. A bill awaiting California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s signature would extend the state’s tax incentive program for film and TV productions for five years but with a key update: Studios with more tax credits than they can use will be able to exchange those credits for cash. The bill, part of the state’s overall budget plan, was passed by California legislators on Tuesday, and Newsom is expected to sign it on Friday. The bill also mandates any production that receives the tax...

As July 4 approaches, do we care about things like the 160th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg? Do we think much about America’s Civil War and that it matters, or we are too stuck in our own private and political civil wars? After all, it’s never been “this bad” in our country? Don’t we hear someone in the media say that, every week ... maybe every day? “At the doorway I saw a huge stack of amputated arms and legs, a stack as high as my head!” said Private William Southerton, age 21, 75th Ohio. “The most horrible thing...

"And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." "Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. "Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy." Matthew, Chapter 24 1 And Jesus went out, and...

Kasey Carpenter (R), Dale Washburn (R), Bill Werkheiser (R), and Penny Houston (R) are sponsoring HB 131 to open in-state college and university tuition rates to about 15,000 DACA illegal aliens.

After several months of intense activity by the factions opposed to the novelties of Chapter VII of Amoris laetitia – minority but hyperactive – or strong attempts to conceal them, the war seems to have come to a standstill. We must now pause to recognize what Francis left us concretely as an irreversible novelty.

Matthew 8:5-17 Friends, in today’s Gospel, Jesus celebrates the trust of the centurion who asked him to heal his servant: “Amen, I say to you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith.”We can say with the centurion that the Lord is a rock, a stronghold, a firm place to stand. The God who is not one more shifting and indefinite creature but rather the ground of being itself is a power upon whom we can rely, a covenant-maker whose word we can trust. In his very freedom and sovereignty as our Creator, God is a parent in...

In the homily in the Cathedral of La Plata on Sunday, March 5, Archbishop Víctor Manuel Fernández assured that the Church has been wrong for a long time. Preaching about love for others, the Archbishop of La Plata stated that “if we do not learn to look at the other in a different way, nothing changes. If I don't learn to look at his beauty beyond his appearance, his abilities, his sexual orientation... whatever it is... I can't end up loving him".

Explanation: This tantalizing trio of galaxies sometimes called the Draco Group, is located in the northern constellation of (you guessed it) Draco, the Dragon. From left to right are face-on spiral NGC 5985, elliptical galaxy NGC 5982, and edge-on spiral NGC 5981, all found within this single telescopic field of view that spans a little more than the width of the full moon. While the group is far too small to be a galaxy cluster, and has not been catalogued as a compact galaxy group, the three galaxies all do lie roughly 100 million light-years from planet Earth. Not as...

Title 42, which allowed law enforcement to prevent migrants from entering the United States under a health clause, ended in May. The White House claims there’s been a decrease in illegal immigration since then, but Republicans say that’s nothing but a diversion, a smokescreen. In fact, the numbers are continuing to increase while aliens are being released into neighborhoods. What is really happening? Is There Still a Banking Turmoil? A Numbers Game on the Hordes of Migrants Mainstream media and the White House say the ending of Title 42 in May didn’t increase illegal crossings. CNN wrote, “US authorities saw...

America is in the birthing pains of a new racial age. The struggle is as old as the nation itself, as Black justice strives against white fears to shape our nation’s soul and shared future. And no two states better represent the competing visions for our national destiny than Florida and California. In the Sunshine State, the forces of white fear are banning books and censoring class conversations. In the Golden State, those committed to racial justice are dreaming of a racially equitable democracy and demanding reparations.

Mr. Trump, in this third bid for the White House, is far ahead of his closest rival, Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida, in national and early state polls and is running circles around the rest of the sprawling field. He has a commanding lead even after losing reelection in 2020 and facing legal problems that threaten to put him behind bars for the rest of his life. The building air of inevitability around the Trump campaign...
