Iowa Republican Sen. Joni Ernst presented her monthly squeal award — which recognizes a wasteful Washington expense — to the Biden administration and specifically White House Climate Envoy John Kerry for officials’ fossil-fueled overseas trips to lecture the world on climate. After world leaders convened in Egypt for the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP27), Ernst, along with Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton and West Virginia Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, requested the Government Accountability Office (GAO) track the amount of greenhouse gas emissions from the Biden administration’s travel to the conference. The GAO report was inconclusive because...

Michigan's House of Representatives has passed a hate speech bill, known as HB 4474, which criminalizes causing someone to feel threatened by words, including the misusing of their pronouns, with the possibility of a hefty fine or even jail time. The bill introduces hate crime penalties for causing someone to 'feel terrorized, frightened, or threatened,' with 'sexual orientation' and 'gender identity or expression' included as protected classes. Offenders could face up to five years in prison for such a felony offense or a $10,000 fine. It is part of a continues effort by Democrats in the state to advance a...

Kevin Spacey has just entered courtroom one. He will have to be here for the next month. That is how long it is likely to take to hear the allegations, the witnesses and his defence. A far cry from the theatres and cinemas he used to appear in. At stake - his reputation, his legacy and his freedom. His only role now: to convince the 12 jurors he is telling the truth when he says he didn’t sexually or indecently assault his four accusers. What is Spacey accused of? The actor faces twelve counts of alleged sexual offences, dating from...

Sierra Vista, AZ - On Friday, at least one pit bull critically injured a 53-year old man and killed an 84-year old woman and her small dog. When officers arrived, they found a dog attacking Sam Sanches Jr., 53, in the backyard of his home. Officers shot and killed that dog to render aid to Sanches. Officers then found Helene Jackson, 84, mortally wounded in the alley behind...

Taylor Taranto, 37, was spotted by law enforcement a few blocks from the former president's home and fled, though he was chased by U.S. Secret Service agents. THE PEDOPHILE WAR: There is a movement right now to desensitize the world to the sexualization of children. There is a movement to normalize, accept, allow and welcome Pedophilia. It is being taught in mainstream therapy conferences. This is the hidden war against our children. They are raping 2 year olds and 5 year olds hundreds of times a week. Every year approximately 2 million children are trafficked for rape, torture and sacrifice. It is a multi billion dollar business that has already surpassed the illegal arms trade and drug trade because unlike a bag of cocaine that can only be sold...

On Thursday, the US Supreme Court restricted the use of race as a factor in college admissions, holding that such “affirmative action” violates the equal-protection clause of the Constitution. Conservatives are celebrating the restoration of the all-American ideal of “meritocracy.” The right has long upheld merit and “equality of opportunity” as the true American ideals, as opposed to newfangled progressive efforts to achieve “equality of outcomes,” not least through affirmative action. The conservatives are wrong on the history. The original US ideal was, in fact, much closer to equality of outcomes than proponents of opportunity, merit, and social mobility would...

Federal agents secured evidence that Hunter Biden engaged in a “pretty classic tax evasion scheme” that allowed him to avoid paying taxes on millions of dollars in income since at least 2014, and the deal he ultimately got would not have been afforded to other Americans facing such serious charges, an IRS whistleblower who supervised the investigation tells Just the News. “If these facts were from the local businessman or the neighbor next door, they would have been charged, they would have already probably had their entire sentence,” IRS Supervisor Agent Gary Shapley said during a 45-minute interview aired Thursday...

Rioting and looting spread across Europe last night after the 'execution' killing of a teenager in Paris - as pictures emerged of President Emmanuel Macron partying with Elton John while his country burnt, triggering a furious backlash. Mr Macron was filmed at Paris's Accor Arena on Wednesday evening, watching the singer on his farewell tour, while rioters caused mayhem in the capital following the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old identified as Nahel on Tuesday. The French President was snapped arm in arm with the legendary 76-year-old artist - who he bestowed France's Legion of Honour award - alongside his wife...

The decision in Students for Fair Admissions vs. Harvard will go down as a landmark in the battle over affirmative action. As Ed Morrisey pointed out in his analysis, it was somewhat surprising to see Justice Roberts stake out such a strong position on the case, given his propensity to write narrow decisions that make only incremental changes to the status quo.On its face the decision makes clear that affirmative action policies as generally practiced are unconstitutional. Decisions made on the basis of race are facially discriminatory, and should be prohibited.Prior Supreme Court decisions had carved out some room for racial...

...Before the mutiny was called off, Wagner Group fighters closed in on Moscow and shot down several Russian military aircraft, including an Ilyushin Il-22M airborne command-post aircraft. Photos and videos shared to social media showed the plane engulfed in a fireball as it plummeted from the sky, before ultimately crashing into a field and leaving behind a huge pile of debris. All 10 crewmembers aboard the aircraft were reportedly killed. The Il-22M is a valuable special-mission aircraft that Russia's military has relied on heavily for aerial command and control during its invasion of Ukraine. Britain's defense ministry wrote in a...

One of the Achilles’ heels of the conservative movement is the sense that we are mean to people. We think criminals should be punished more harshly than liberals do.We oppose initiatives that are sold as “compassionate” to marginalized groups. We criticize people like Dylan Mulvaney, who seems so happy-go-lucky.We oppose policies sold as catering to kids who are different from their peers. The list goes on. Even my family members think I support bullying transgender kids and don’t understand why I say mean things when they know I am not a mean person. Some of this is how we argue points, and some have...

As RedState reported earlier, the United States Supreme Court ruled in a 6-3 vote Thursday that the race-based college admissions processes used by Harvard and the University of North Carolina (UNC) violate the 14th Amendment’s equal protection clause, effectively striking down the use of affirmative action programs in college admissions. In Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s dissenting opinion in the UNC case, Jackson, who was nominated by President Joe Biden to the Supreme Court in part based on a campaign promise to nominate a black woman, accused the court’s conservative majority of “let-them-eat-cake obliviousness,” proclaiming that the Justices “detached” themselves from “this...
