When the Ukrainian Army begins pushing entrenched Russian adversaries out of defensive positions in the Donbas region during the initial phases, recapturing and liberating sovereign territory, the Biden administration will face a new dilemma. Will Biden support Ukrainian ground forces in the military pursuit of a retreating Russian army that attempts to escape annihilation by seeking sanctuary on the Russian side of the border? Will he support artillery and air strikes on the Russian side of the border? Following the May 22 Belgorod raid by elements of the pro-Ukrainian Russian Volunteer Corps and the Freedom of Russia Legion, both composed...

The Ukraine lobby is the latest example of a foreign government and its American supporters having a dangerously outsize impact on U.S. policy and the overall public perspective. Activists have attempted to harass and silence opponents of the fawning U.S. support for Volodymyr Zelensky’s government. At times, Ukraine and its Western backers have fostered a campaign of outright neo-McCarthyism against critics, utterly chilling debate regarding policy toward Kyiv.

Year: A(I).First reading2 Corinthians 11:1-11 ©I was careful not to be a burden to you in any wayI only wish you were able to tolerate a little foolishness from me. But of course: you are tolerant towards me. You see, the jealousy that I feel for you is God’s own jealousy: I arranged for you to marry Christ so that I might give you away as a chaste virgin to this one husband. But the serpent, with his cunning, seduced Eve, and...

On June 16, near Groom Creek, in Arizona, 66-year-old Steven Jackson was sitting on his camp chair, having coffee at an outdoor table, when a 300 lb male black bear attacked him. The attack appears to have been unprovoked and predatory in nature. Groom Creek is a few miles South of Prescott, about 100 miles north of Phoenix, at about 5000 – 6000 feet above sea level. The temperature on the morning of the 16th was 70 degrees Fahrenheit. From Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office: At approximately 7:50 this morning, the YCSO dispatch center received multiple 911 calls about a man...

Perhaps you might remember the TV commercial for a home burglar alarm system. Husband and wife are in bed when they hear someone breaking in downstairs. The manly husband bravely picks up his gun and — wait — picks up the telephone. He has no gun, nor any courage by which to confront the intruder who poses a threat to his family. It was such a laugher that, as I recall, the commercial was quickly pulled off the air. A comedian said that his wife was complaining about his masculine insensitivity, so he "got in touch with his feminine side."...

The Titanic tourist submersible that vanished on a trip to the 111-year-old shipwreck at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean is believed to have run out of oxygen — but authorities pushed ahead with the search operation Thursday morning. OceanGate Expeditions, which operates the Titan sub and whose CEO, Stockton Rush, is aboard the missing vessel, told the Coast Guard on Sunday evening that the vehicle was equipped with only 96 hours of oxygen, with the timer running out around 7:08 a.m. Thursday. The status of the five passengers aboard the ill-fated trip remains unclear as US and Canadian officials...

"Is it not the rich who oppress you and personally drag you into court? Do they not blaspheme the fair name by which you have been called?" (James 2:6-7). You can’t accomplish God’s purposes by siding with His enemies. Favoritism has a way of blinding its victims to reality. James wrote of Christians who were trying to impress a rich man so they could benefit from his wealth and social status (vv. 2-3). The rich man represented the enemies of Christ, yet they gave him preferential treatment anyway. The poor man represented those whom God chose to be rich in...

Tulsa Police Chief Wendell Franklin is calling for a 9/11 style response to gun violence and suggesting people may have to give up some of their freedom in exchange for gun control. NPR posted an interview with Franklin on Sunday, noting he is critical of constitutional carry, wants more regulations on firearms that Democrats describe as “ghost guns,” and is open to a waiting period for the purchase of AR-15s and similar firearms. Franklin said, “Law enforcement – we are the experts. We’re the subject matter experts at protecting America – right? – protecting our cities. And, you know, we...

Two weeks ago, I participated in a debate on reparations hosted by the American Public Square and later televised by KCPT, the PBS station in Kansas City. If I didn't know beforehand that the game was rigged, I did by the time the edited debate hit the airwaves. Grab your wallets, folks. The reparations crowd is coming for your money. The concept behind American Public Square is a reasonable one. Troubled by the increasing polarization of the electorate, former ambassador to Portugal Allan Katz founded the organization to bridge the partisan divide through civil discourse. The programming skews left, as...

Pray For The Peace of JerusalemLuke 15 The Parable of the Lost Son 11 Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. 12 The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them. 13 “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. 14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went...

... The two leaders will sign off on what one official called a "trailblazing" deal to allow General Electric Co (GE.N) to produce jet engines in India to power Indian military aircraft. In addition, U.S. Navy ships in the region will be able to stop in Indian shipyards for repairs under a maritime agreement reached between the two governments. The leaders will also announce India's plan to procure U.S.-made armed MQ-9B SeaGuardian drones, the U.S. officials said. "We have now entered really a 'next generation' defense partnership," said the U.S. official. The agreements will include U.S. chipmaker Micron Technology's (MU.O)...

The Agriculture Department gave the green light to Upside Foods and Good Meat, firms that had been racing to be the first in the U.S. to sell meat that doesn’t come from slaughtered animals — what’s now being referred to as “cell-cultivated” or “cultured” meat as it emerges from the laboratory and arrives on dinner plates. The move launches a new era of meat production aimed at eliminating harm to animals and drastically reducing the environmental impacts of grazing, growing feed for animals and animal waste. For the first time, U.S. regulators on Wednesday approved the sale of chicken made from...

Disney's most recent Pixar animation, Elemental, has faced a significant setback at the box office, marking the studio's worst opening weekend in its 28-year history of feature films. The movie, which introduces Disney's first non-binary character, has been criticized by some fans for being "woke."

"It's not going to happen," Wallace told The Economist magazine in an interview, arguing that the United States wanted Stoltenberg to stay as secretary-general. The UK government has been pushing its defence minister's candidacy after playing a lead role in providing Western arms to Ukraine to fight Russia's invasion. But Wallace conceded that his bid had run afoul of the politics of the NATO role and the competing visions for the alliance of US President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron. Stoltenberg's eventual successor "is going to have to please both Macron and Biden", he said in the interview,...

Among the many examples of how cynically the progressive Left exploits fringe special-interest groups to do their political bidding, none is more stark than the callous manner in which they manipulate the LGBTQ+ crowd. Progressives have fashioned the LGBTQ+ group into a political “mafia.” Their job is to strike fear into the neighboring community, attempt to exert influence over events to their own benefit and just generally intimidate the surrounding society at large by forcing them to act in any manner the mafia wants. The bottom-line goal of the mafia’s activity is to make progressives look good and to make...
