When the Ukrainian Army begins pushing entrenched Russian adversaries out of defensive positions in the Donbas region during the initial phases, recapturing and liberating sovereign territory, the Biden administration will face a new dilemma.
Will Biden support Ukrainian ground forces in the military pursuit of a retreating Russian army that attempts to escape annihilation by seeking sanctuary on the Russian side of the border? Will he support artillery and air strikes on the Russian side of the border?
Following the May 22 Belgorod raid by elements of the pro-Ukrainian Russian Volunteer Corps and the Freedom of Russia Legion, both composed solely of anti-Putin Russian citizens, the White House foreshadowed that it would not. State Department spokesman Matt Miller said, “As a general policy matter, we have been clear that we don’t support the use of U.S.-made equipment being used for attacks inside of Russia.”

So, Biden is running WWIII?
we beat the British without attacking them at home.
Ukraine just needs to go gorilla hit and run and wear Russia down
Russia will call up men by the millions if the war comes to Russian soil in a serious way.
Well then, Hill ‘journalists’, get your little dicks over there and fight. The only thing worse in the multiverse than you folks is the Biden family.
Yes and that most certainly will start WWIII.
According to our Zeepers here Ukraine is already winning so these guys are just ignorant and dangerous minded fools.
“When the Ukrainian Army begins pushing...”
When?
We had the advantage of having the entire Atlantic Ocean between us and the British homeland.
Defeated Russian invaders have the enviable position of being able to always scurry back to their hinterland to lick their wounds because the Ukrainians "aren't allowed" to pursue them.
Retreating Russian invaders shouldn't be given the privilege of always having a "safe harbor" to which they can (temporarily) flee and where they are "immune" to reprisal.
Regards,
Ok. So how is that done without invading Russia? The retired Obama era colonel doesn't spell that out.
And how do you do that without NATO (otherwise known as US) boots on the ground inside Russia?
good points
“When the Ukrainian Army begins pushing entrenched Russian adversaries out of defensive positions in the Donbas region....”
Huh?
extreme case of living in a dream world....
Most Americans don’t give a RATs ass about Ukraine. So why do you think you know anything about “most Russians”?
Oh wait.....canuck
Why wait? Seriously: Why not do it now? Why not call up those millions of conscripts and immediately throw them into battle?
The Russians have been dilly-dallying for well over a year, fighting an inconclusive war Special Military Operation that is only embarrassing them as a preeminent military power. What is staying their hand? Do they want a long, drawn-out military confrontation with an allegedly inferior opponent?
They could have called up a million men 15 months ago, and given them that much more time to train and practice field manœuvers.
Do the Russians want to lose?!
Regards,
I was just reading they were stalled on their counteroffensive (tm). Thevve been pushing. Just not very far.
You're disappointed that he didn't exactly spell out what strategy Ukraine should pursue to accomplish that goal!?
Are you the same fellow who complained when D-Day was launched - without a preliminary announcement by Eisenhower, say, six weeks in advance?
