The twelve apostles included "Judas Iscariot, the one who betrayed Him" (Matt. 10:4). God can use even an apostate like Judas to teach us some important lessons. Judas is history's greatest human tragedy. He had opportunities and privileges known only to the other disciples, but he turned from them to pursue a course of destruction. Yet even from his foolishness we can learn some important lessons. Judas, for example, is the world's greatest example of lost opportunity. He ministered for three years with Jesus Himself but was content merely to associate with Him, never submitting to Him in saving faith....

There are growing calls for CUNY to lose its government funding after the commencement speech of a pro-Palestine, graduating student who used the floor to denigrate Israel, the NYPD, the US Armed Forces and local politicians after receiving her subsidized education. Fatima Mousa Mohammed was chosen by her classmates as the 2023 commencement speaker at CUNY Law's graduation ceremony on May 12. Her 13-minute-long speech has only now become public after CUNY uploaded it to YouTube. Initially, the school kept it private. In her remarks, Mohammed - whose family is Yemeni but who grew up in Queens - called the...

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) on Tuesday said he “absolutely” thinks Congress will quickly pass the legislation crafted by the White House and House GOP leadership to address the debt ceiling, even as the plan faces opposition on both sides. “If you’re looking for a reason to be against something in Washington, you can always find something saying that wasn’t good enough, didn’t go far enough,” Manchin said during an appearance on West Virginia MetroNews’s “Talkline” with Hoppy Kercheval early Tuesday.

The rare and candid disclosure came in a case centered on the secretive world of deputy gangs, reports of which have plagued the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for half a century and led to an array of investigations, studies and legal settlements.

WASHINGTON — House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said Tuesday he will lead an effort to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt of Congress if he refuses to share an informant file accusing President Biden of being part of a $5 million bribery scheme while he was vice president. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) gave Wray until Tuesday to comply with a subpoena for the tipoff — warning that his continued refusal would begin the contempt process. “Let me tell Director Christopher Wray right here, right now: If he misses the deadline today, I’m prepared to move contempt charges...

The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) is stonewalling a judge’s subpoena of internal documents related to how the medical organization came up with its guidelines for gender confused minors. WPATH, a leading advocate for child sex changes, was subpoenaed in March by a federal judge in Alabama after the organization’s guidelines were repeatedly referenced to argue against the state’s restrictions on sex changes for minors during a lawsuit. WPATH has attempted to quash the subpoena, which a judge denied in March. The court case challenges Alabama’s law banning sex changes for individuals under 19. While WPATH argued it...

Nancy Mace also cited provisions, termed the “fine print,” which allegedly contradict aspects of the bill. “After factoring in a small cut to discretionary spending over the next 2 yrs, we are still talking about ~$6T more or less in spending bc (sic) of large increases in spending elsewhere. In other words, it’s a wash spending-wise,” wrote Mace. She added, “The bill doesn’t actually set a debt limit. Rather it suspends the debt limit entirely until Jan. 2, 2025, and there is no actual amount capping the debt ceiling.” Mace also highlighted a provision of the bill that would allow...

In-laws are arriving in August from South Korea...their first visit to North America. They want to see New England and parts of Canada. Tourist visas are the problem...specifically the fact that they'll be entering the US at least twice (they're flying to/from JFK). Anyone know if there's such a thing as a "multiple entry" visa tourist visa to the US? If so,anyone know how they get one. South Koreans are "favored" so it looks like visas for them are easier to get than for unfriendly countries. Thanks to anyone who has info for me. And yes,I've checked the website but...

President Trump revealed a tough and unflinching plan on Tuesday to secure the chaotic southern border in a new Agenda47 policy video. “Joe Biden has launched an illegal foreign invasion of our country, allowing a record number of illegal aliens to storm across our borders,” he stated. He noted that under the current rules, the future children of these illegals are eligible to become “automatic U.S. citizens” and to take advantage of countless government benefits and privileges.“It is obviously a magnet helping draw a flood of illegals across our borders – they come by the millions and millions and millions,” he...

In a recent American Thinker article, Are ‘White People Committed to Being Villains’?, Raymond Ibrahim addresses a very important issue: there is a societal movement to place the blame for the ills of society on white people and racism. The theory is that white people are evil because they are white. Ibrahim argues that when white people behaved as oppressors, it was because they had the power to do so, not because they were white. Per Ibrahim: Europeans did not defeat and uproot American Indians, enslave Africans, and colonize the rest because whites lived according to some unprecedented bellicose creed...

16,437 views Apr 14, 2023 SACRAMENTO I've wanted one of these for years and while looking for something else found this one on Big Ship Salvage https://bigshipsalvage.com/ - they were up front and noted that it needed work. It's actually in very good condition. When it arrived I did some basic cleanup and replaced six of the bolts on it. I found a gear whose taper pin had sheared off and the good people at Langills Precision CNC https://langills.com/ got it replaced perfectly. There were also a few issues with the shutter/muffler assembly and some detailed cleanup and replacement of...

Can we talk? No? Okay. But I still need to keep a channel open to you. Volatire is supposed to have said, "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." I take that as the classic liberal position. I think it's another deliberate manipulation, most effectively conveyed by Marxist and U.S. State Dept. official, Herbert Marcuse, in what is called "repressive tolerance", specifically that only some opinions are acceptable, those that advance the manipulators' interest, but more generally, the undoing of Voltaire's sentiment, that anything is justified that is necessary...
