Volatire is supposed to have said, "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." I take that as the classic liberal position. I think it's another deliberate manipulation, most effectively conveyed by Marxist and U.S. State Dept. official, Herbert Marcuse, in what is called "repressive tolerance", specifically that only some opinions are acceptable, those that advance the manipulators' interest, but more generally, the undoing of Voltaire's sentiment, that anything is justified that is necessary to win, including lying and getting others to believe those lies, so they will be pliable in the 2,750 billionaires, the Oligarchs' interests, so everything will go smoothly, and the little people won't cause any trouble.
I still keep the channel open with you, because people on my own side--I'm religious conservative--are lying to me. Because they think it's justified for them to lead me around by the nose. Because, even though they're "conservative", they have bought Marcuse's ethic, that lying is justified, that the end justifies the means.
My concern for your freedom, is offended by the fact, that Trump is a large, shiny facet in a master kaleidoscope that is operated in the interests of the Oligarchs. You say, "that's okay, I like what they do, I'm on their side". Okay, but I have to warn you, that as soon as they have used you up, they will throw you under the steamroller. They intend for you to end up like Wiley Coyote. I still intend to support your good.
Do I like Trump? I got off during the 2016 election campaign when he told other candidates that an inflatable thing between his legs is bigger than theirs--may it remain bigger too long, rot and fall off, for all the good it has done.
I think part of the Oligarch kaleidoscope is that they reckoned that there is a substantial proportion of the population that feels shut out, and they use Trump to manipulate those people. This is not based on random imaginings, it's because for much longer than a century, the Oligarchs have employed experts in mass psychology to manipulate hundreds of millions of people's opinions, indeed, billions. Here's a quote by one of them, not really a core specialist himself in the manufacture of consent, but a middleman in it, the man who got millions of women to smoke, Edward Bernays.
"The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. He wasn't kidding, he was bragging. The top of the heap is populated by bad guys, like C.D. Jackson, a Time Magazine and CIA master-blaster, who ended up buying the Zapruder Film, who got Ike elected, who had been with him at the end of the war. These people are of the class of psy-ops professionals, who during the exceptional war times use psychological warfare against enemies, but during the majority of peace-time sharpen and develop the same techniques against their own civilian populations.
Are you sure you are still okay with this? Are you sure that your freedom, security and well-being is respected by these people?
I suggest that you turn off the news when it's about Trump. How you're going to vote, work on that during the close of the campaign.

Don’t hate Trump but realize that he’s his own worst enemy.
As long as the “oligarchs” use their desired pronouns and continue to affirm their victimhood they don’t care about totalitarianism. It isn’t their ox being gored.
So what. Trump has become a boorish and tiring candidate. He does not deserve support and doesn’t matter who you pool us former Trump supporters with, it is over. Cling to him all you want, but he won’t get the nomination and if he does, he’ll lose in 2024. It was stolen in 2020, but it will be a clear loss in 2024. All he is doing lately is shoring up clingers but losing everyone else.
Sorry, no sale. You speak for only yourself. You are a disgruntled minority who has lost sight of what was accomplished against no holds barred opposition by both parties in Trump’s first term. Ulysses Grant was boorish too and were many of America’s heroes. It’s the grit, drive, dedication & loyalty to America that matters not polished manners.
